great California rolls, and fabulous smoothies (with tapioca). I don't care for their Chinese food, but everything else is really good. Great spot for vegetarians or vegans. Everything towards the front of the menu is healthy and fresh. We love this place and the prices aren't outrageous, especially given the freshness and healthy choices. I came here for lunch with a friend, we abruptly decided to come here. The last time I came, was about 5-6 years ago. And I didn't remember my experience. It started off ok, we both ordered lunch specials, and a smoothie (which I never got) The lunch special came with a garden salad, which is just iceberg lettuce and some mayonnaise sauce. Literally drenched in the dressing. I looked at it, and didn't even touch it. Next came out food, a good size portion, but personally, I felt my food was overly salted. I ordered the ginger BEEF, but was given the chicken. I shrugged it off, it wasn't a big deal. In my food however, I could not taste ginger at all. The service was mediocre at best. I had to wave down the waitress several times, she was sitting at a booth on her phone. The place is strangely quiet. No music, just awkward Asian cooking shows in a foreign language. Whatever. Anyway, as were leaving. Like leaving as in pulling out, she comes running to our car, and is knocking, saying "you forgot _____!" "You forgot _____!" I'm looking around to see if I left anything in the restaurant, I didn't. So I open up the door, to try to understand what she's trying to tell me. And she says "you forgot your tip!" It was such an awkward position to be in. I thought the food and service was terrible. We were the Only ones in the dining room during our meal, and she forgot my smoothie. Im not the type of person that leaves without tipping. And even if the food is terrible, if I have a nice server, I will tip. But she really was terrible. Anyway, I felt so awkward in that moment with her just standing there waiting for me to tip, outside the restaurant, I have her some loose change I had in my purse. It was the only cash I had. She didn't even say thank you, she kind of just smiled, and walked back in. My friend and I just sat in the car in disbelief. Will I return to dragon bowl? Probably not! I visited on two occasions.. one carryout, one dine in. Tried the Sushi both vegetable and signature rolls, both very good. Ordered Sze Chuan fried rice when dining in. The portion is huge and very good. The staff was friendly. Will be back! read more

The portions are large, the prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good for a sushi place in Indiana. However, ordering over the phone is a nightmare and you constantly get put on hold every 30 seconds and get asked the same questions about your order over and over again. Also, Christmas decorations are up all year round. Other than that, everything's pretty good. read more

The fresh juice is very well made. Plenty of both cooked and raw sushi options.

For the suburbs, Dragon bowl is actually a really good place. I've had sushi at many other places, but none have compared to it here. Whenever I eat sushi else where I compare it to Dragon Bowl now. They staff is always nice, and the food speaks for itself. Prices are perfect for the suburbs and out beat any sushi bar else where. read more

01/18/12 My husband and I went for lunch. Wow, what a delight. We had the Dragon, House Maki, and Hot n Sour soup. All very good. We also purchased the Green Turtle, and Chicago Moonlight to go. Place isn't much to look at but who cares. If you like good Asian food, this place does not disappoint. We also had a order of pan-fried noodles with pork. This was good as well. We had no room left to try the Sushi, but reason to return. Nice option to Schererville's House of Kobe. Not that that place is bad, but this place is very GOOD. read more

I used to love this place. I could eat it everyday. But recently I went and the sweet and sour chicken was disgusting. It tasted like it was fried in old oil. It tasted like fish! And the fried rice was hard and extra shiny with oil all over. Gross!!! Then I had it a week or 2 later at a friends house and it was the same garbage. Never again! I tried but if they are going to mess around and cook right one day and wrong the next then forget it. I rather go to Liangs in Lansing IL. read more

To start on a positive note, the food was okay other than the mushy noodles in the Udon soup and totally bland egg rolls. But the service was soooo bad it was comical. It started as soon as we walked in and asked for a table for two. For about 2 seconds the waiter made eye contact and that was the last time he did it until we were paying the bill. Taking a place mat and setting from another table, he literally slammed it down on a table with one chair (there were two of us) and without saying a word or looking at us he walked away. We figured that's where he wanted us to sit and we took a chair from a neighboring table and sat down. Next came the water, again slammed down on the table to the point that it splashed out of the plastic cups and got both of us wet. All this without a word or a look from the waiter. He came back to take our order. Out came an appetizer with very mediocre sushi. The main entrees came, but at first, not to us. He went around to different tables with our food asking people if it was their order. We raised our hands to let him know that, no it was our order. He brought it over while we were still eating the appetizer shoved our appetizer plate to the side and put down our plates. This time it wasn't slammed, so I guess that was an improvement. There were no condiments on the table and at this point we were afraid to ask, so we scavenged for condiments from nearby empty tables. Between the chair and the condiments we were getting good at fending for ourselves. He never came by again until we were about done and he did serve us additional "tea". Quite a strange tea since it was absolutely clear. I think they call that "hot water". All it did was water down the weak tea I already had. And the final coup de grâce was attempting to use a coupon from the the restaurant flyer. The waiter told us that the coupon could only be used with take out orders. It didn't say that on the coupon or on the flyer. So if you want a large variety of mediocre food with service that will provide you with a unique story, this is the place for you. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I never ever write bad reviews but this place was just God awful. Usually hole in the wall places are the best so I went in to this cheaply decorated mismatched place with an open mind. The waiter literally and I'm not exaggerating said nothing to us from the minute we walked in to the moment we left. Never asked for drinks just brought us water is plastic tumblers and stood around until we were ready to order. I read the sushi was decent and I just moved here from the schaumburg area so I wanted to try it out. I got a vegas roll and it was less than sub par. My boyfriend got the General Taos chicken and it was pretty good until he found a hair in it. Moving on... The waiter didnt say a word like I stated yet there was no shortage of what sounded like 10 people laughing in the back the ENTIRE time. Never once did anyone ask if the food was ok or if he could get us anything. I asked for the check, again nothing, paid and you guessed it, not even eye contact or a thanks. The food isn't even good enough to look past the rest of the experience. Never again. read more

worst experience i've ever had at a restaurant. the pork dumplings were cold and hard like they pulled them out of the freezer and microwaved them. then we ordered two different THAI dishes and after awhile two sloppy salty brown sauced chinese dishes came out that were exactly the same they just threw some basil in one of them. I asked if they got the order wrong and the waiter insisted that we got what we ordered and it was supposed to look like that. after getting out their ridiculously long and detailed menu we pointed to the picture of one of the dishes we were expecting and he said that they don't have a dish that looks like that "and we never have dish that ever look like that! you must order wrong then!!" so i suggested they improve their menu because its misleading and they most certainly do not serve thai food. even for chinese food only labeled as thai, it was really sloppy and salty and flavorless. their sushi was the only thing edible. after two or three trips by our waiter to the back of the kitchen and the fighting between the cook and the waiter, we decided to just send our food back and pay for our sushi and get the heck out of there. it felt like it should have been on a seinfeld episode. their sushi was subpar but even if it was the best i would never go back there its like being on a hidden camera show. read more
