Stopped in for lunch after a recommendation. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the steady flow of customers. I was slightly apprehensive about the way what appears to be an open kitchen is conveniently hidden by two huge pop coolers. I received my order rather quickly, having placed my order at the window. I ordered the Mongolian beef. It was very good. I had the lunch special so it came with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. The food was very fresh and tasty. I didn't love the egg roll but that was insignificant to my meal. I will definitely return to try some other dishes. So excited to finally have good Chinese food in this area. read more

Excellent! After trying about 10 other Chinese places in the area, I finally found something good to replace my old standby. UberEats means they deliver to Blue Island, SCORE! Fresh fruit smoothies, fresh mushrooms in the fried rice, pungent garlic sauce on the veggie delight, and light, balanced crab rangoon with just the right amount of sweetness. Hubby loved his Mongolian beef, although next time we'll order it without green peppers. Shrimp and veggie spring rolls were standard. Everything else was just perfect. I ordered General Tso Chicken but the restaurant delivered Orange Chicken. This chicken has no spice or kick to it. It tastes like every other restaurant's Orange Chicken although when I spoke to someone named Annie she told me the only difference between their Orange and General Tso's was that the GT had green peppers and carrots which makes no sense. In my opinion they gave me whatever they wanted and just called it GT. This is unacceptable. I was told that I could return it at anytime and get something else or a refund. It is probably good for someone that likes OC but I like a spicy breaded chicken; not sweet orangey sauce. I will return tomorrow for a refund and will not order from this place again. read more

First time ordering from this local restaurant, I must say it was a terrible decision. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young and the actual patty was okay. The gravy it came with has absolutely way too much corn starch. It has so much corn starch that it has become slime. Then as I get half way through my egg foo young I removed I large piece of hair from my mouth( I do know have long hair, and I am eating alone). So the only thing I have left to eat is rice and the rice was flavorless! Everything with my order was a disappointment! I will not be eating at this establishment again!!!!!! read more

I was in the area for work and happen to see J Wok on Sibley and Chicago Road. I thought I'll give it a try. Workers in there was very friendly and helpful. So much to try and couldn't decide so she helped me narrow it down. Lunch and dinner specials, combination platters, entree with Shrimp fried rice and egg roll or you can switch for 2 crab rangoons. Food is cooked to order and made with fresh ingredients. They even have smoothies and you can mix the fruits. So refreshing! They also deliver but I don't live in the area. Today, I ordered through grub hub and wrote a note for extra sweet and sour sauce and an orange soda. I called to speak to someone about it and the guy told me normal Chinese restaurants include sweet and sour sauce, they do not. I simply stated if there was an extra charge, they could've notified me and it would've been fine. He said "u got a soda and 4 packs of sweet and sour sauce, so what are you complaining for." Now when I call them to get the credit a week later they don't recall any of the event. And actually accused me of lying and yelled at me about "lying". Very disrespectful and rude.
