I showed him and he basically did nothing. When he brought the check he mentioned it was a shard from their meat prep container, but didn't offer to replace or remove anything from the check. They had a hostess who did nothing since its seat yourself, would've been better to have had her run food or check on tables.

The corned beef was thick, with just the right amount of juiciness, sauerkraut, thousand Island dressing and the best marble rye bread toasted perfect perfectly. I ordered straight fries well seasoned. I also ordered their homemade root beer, I'm not a fan. It tasted more like black licorice than root beer. It is located along the Wisconsin River a short drive outside of Madison. Vintage Brewing is right on the river, giving the patio a really pretty setting. The patio is large and has a great spot for bands with plenty of tables for the audience. We decided to order dinner while we were there. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered the Wisconsinite ( a blackberry brandy old-fashioned). It wasn't bad, but definitely more on the sweet side than I care for. We shared the fried cheese curds, which had a great flavor, though not the best I've had. I really enjoyed my blackened salmon salad. The salmon was delicious and the salad was fresh. My husband also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. They had some fun swag for sale, and I came home with a cute pink t-shirt. The beer you can only find within the confines of what is called the Corner Pub. The days are coming where this beer will reach legendary status. But wait there's more to the legacy the Porter is building, it's called the Smoked Porter. You like smokey tones, well, you will like smokey tones. All the pints are served to perfection in a frosty pint glass, a vessel created for one purpose, to wet your whistle. Once that happens, you'll find that one just won't do it. The bartender will promptly have another ready in a fresh frosty pint glass just for you. The fried cheese curds here are by far some of the best cheese curds that I've had. Matter of fact, it's the only place I will ever truly order fried cheese curds in the state. Yes, I said the best fried cheese curds in all of the state of Wisconsin! When there was a complaint to the manager she came over with her hands on her hips and said that's the way we make them so that's the way we serve them. No offer for a discount on her meal. if they're trying to go out of business this is the way to do it. We've enjoyed several meals there in the past but the last 3 times we've been there the food was not good. We don't intend to go there unless something changes. Managers should be a better at handling a complaint also. They just lost 13 people's business plus whoever they tell about the experience.

They were a big portion aka enough for a meal or an app to share with 2-4 people. The Philly portion tastes like juicy tender pot roast topped with grilled onions, mushrooms, and green pepper then melted Swiss (I assume Swiss American actually) on top. They were fantastic. Crispy tots. Tender meat. Well melted creamy cheese. Can't recommend enough. We didn't try the drinks but the tots were good enough to draw us back. A+

Took a while to get seated, as the attendant seemed to be busy carrying out plates of food and making drinks at the end of the bar. After getting seated, we ordered drinks and three entrees (two specialty salads, a pasta meal, and a burger). The drinks came relatively fast, but the service on the food was incredibly slow. Well over an hour's wait. At one point I guessed, "They must be growing lettuce for the salad." Food arrived, but incorrectly prepared on one of the salads. The server offered "I specifically told them dressing on the side...I can bring it back and get it made over." We had already waited well over an hour, so we just took it as it was fearing an even longer delay. Actually, three of the meals were quite good (except for the overpriced and totally unremarkable burger), but I doubt any of us will return after the sluggish service. It was such a lengthy wait for the food and the server was so harried and overworked that ordering desserts was not offered. We had to get up and walk in search of a way to pay our bill. Good food, but that does not in itself make for a great dining experience.
