We went there with a large group of 13 people. Out of those 13 meals 2 people liked theirs. The hamburgers were overdone, the prime rib and cheddar sandwiches were pretty sad And put on hot dog buns. The gyros were bad, the pitas were dry and broke in half and the meat wasn't good. When there was a complaint to the manager she came over with her hands on her hips and said that's the way we make them so that's the way we serve them. No offer for a discount on her meal. if they're trying to go out of business this is the way to do it. We've enjoyed several meals there in the past but the last 3 times we've been there the food was not good. We don't intend to go there unless something changes. Managers should be a better at handling a complaint also. They just lost 13 people's business plus whoever they tell about the experience. read more

It's very busy on a weekend evening (5:30) We waited a long time for drinks and a menus. I think there was only one waitress! When we finally got our food, we had no utensils. We waited again for those, until finally we started eating certain things with our hands because it was getting cold. Our fish was very good, but the fries were cold and looked like they had sat out awhile. They ran out of drink mixers and cottage cheese. When the utensils finally came, nothing was wrapped. She just had a handful of silverware she put on the table for us to pass around. Okay, it's casual dining, but come on! Plus I got sick after I ate, so something was bad. Wonderful atmosphere if you enjoy being swarmed by flies constantly. Cozy little corner pub! Thought it would be a great stop from online and personal references. However, we did not make it to the food. There were SO MANY flies we couldn't put our drinks down without flies landing on them.. and us. When we brought the issue to the attention of the staff, he seemed confused and wouldn't look at them. I am aware it is fly season. However they should be taking preventative steps to avoid having more flies than customers. read more

The cheese curds, the best in the state of Wisconsin. Whenever I stop by Reedsburg, I thirst. I thirst for that smooth perfectly in-house brewed Porter. The beer you can only find within the confines of what is called the Corner Pub. The days are coming where this beer will reach legendary status. But wait there's more to the legacy the Porter is building, it's called the Smoked Porter. You like smokey tones, well, you will like smokey tones. All the pints are served to perfection in a frosty pint glass, a vessel created for one purpose, to wet your whistle. Once that happens, you'll find that one just won't do it. The bartender will promptly have another ready in a fresh frosty pint glass just for you. The fried cheese curds here are by far some of the best cheese curds that I've had. Matter of fact, it's the only place I will ever truly order fried cheese curds in the state. Yes, I said the best fried cheese curds in all of the state of Wisconsin! Stopped for lunch on our way home. The waitress was working both tables and the bar. After asking for a small sample of their brewed IPA I was quickly informed that there would only be one sample but a flight was available for only $4. I silently hoped the IPA would be tasty; however it wasn't. In fact it was one of the worst beers I have ever tasted. Maybe it was just the IPA that wasn't good... so we ordered a flight. We tasted five of their brewed beers. Watery and a weird after taste was a common theme. The beer prepared us for lunch. The foot was lack luster with minimal flavor. The hamburger was dry, though the fries were crispy. This was the worst beer and food we have had in a long time. Incredibly disappointing! we won't be back! read more

This was my third time here, and although I've never tried the food, the beer was great. He brews small batches and it's all good. It's been remodeled since the last time I was here. We tried the cream stout, 2 different porters, a bourbon ale, and some kind of maple ale. Others at the bar said the food was good, but we had dinner plans later that evening. This is a restaurant circling the drain. The food used to be good years ago but now it's just bad! You can tell that they are trying to skimp on everything. The burgers were paper thin and the fries looked like the grease hasn't been changed. We ordered the IPA, which tasted like an Amber, then wanting to order another beer but not sure what to order because the last one tasted bad asked for a sample but they said they didn't do samples. we ended up ordering the same crappy beer because we didn't know what to order. when we got our bill we noticed the waitress charge us for extra drinks we hadn't even drank. We were in town for the annual Fermentation Fest (great event) and had lunch at the Corner Pub. The place was packed. Yet the server was friendly and happy to take the time to tell us about the place. It's the oldest operating tavern in Sauk County and owner Pete Peterson brews his batches two barrels at a time right there in the basement. Our lunch and choice of beer were delicious. That evening we attended the Fermentation Fest Food/Drink D'Tour, which featured area food artisans. Corner Pub was there showcasing their varieties of beer. We sampled them all, and they all were great. Rich, not overly hopped, and full of good flavor. My favorites: Oktoberfest, Cream Ale and the Weiss. My husband's: Oktoberfest and Bourbon Scotch Ale. Awesome burger and beer! No frills cheap eats and local small batch brewed beers. The cream ale was the best!

I just had a delicious cheeseburger and the cheese curds were very good too. I had the milk stout and wasn't disappointed there either. Yum!

The Corner Pub has the best fried cheese curds ever. The burgers are second only to xxxxxx in xxxxx Wisconsin. If you didn't have friendly service it was because you were the problem. They were great. I had my kids with me and they loved it. read more

I went there for the fish fry. Though sweet potatoes fries weren't a choice for a potato, I couldn't resist and wasn't disappointed. And when I was leaving, I caught a glimpse of what looked like hand cut fries. A decent little salad bar that also comes with dinner. We dropped by the Corner Pub last fall for a couple beers and a sandwich after hiking Devil's Lake. The place has a great small town ambiance to it, which I dig. The food was spot on diner fare, no complaints at all. My burger and fry basket was reasonable and hit the spot. Unfortunately, my problem was the beer. Four of us ordered different styles. When the waitress brought them to our table, she didn't know a Porter from an IPA, honest to goodness. Not a huge issue, but you would expect them to have that down. I remember trying three of the choices at our table, an IPA, a Porter and my Octoberfest (if my memory serves me). Nothing was special or distinct. The IPA was nowhere near being a hop bomb. I've tried a lot of IPA's and with your eyes closed you wouldn't have had a clue as to what it was. Either way, I'm not into bashing people who put their craft out there for others to judge. The beer was perfectly drinkable, but none of us had a second pint which does not happen very often. When I'm in the area again, I would probably give it a second chance and see if my opinion changes. The waitress was friendly and we watched the Badgers roll up 500+ rushing yards against Indiana. This place won't even let you have a small sample of beer before buying. But you can buy a smaller glass for $2.25. No beer menu and the bartender couldn't give any decent description of the beers. We got one pint that was pretty good and one that wasnt so good. Definitely luck of the draw at this place. Not very customer friendly! read more
