We decided Vino Yay was our favorite and we will buy a bottle next time we are in town. My boyfriend also tried the wine slushee in tropical flavor and loved it. I thought it was too sweet, but many people were coming in to order it! The second visit we had another flight of 4, this time we tried the sweeter wines, which was a little unsuccessful for us because we don't like sweet wines as much but had to give it a try. We also had the charcuterie board which was really good. Had a nice large load of salted bread, along with fresh cheese curds, salamis, meats and olives. A perfect little snack for two. In the back you can sit out and look at the small vineyard. It's really beautiful on a nice sunny day.

You give them your credit card and get a plastic card that you dock into a reader on the wall and you pay by the ounce. You can sample as many beers as you want. You can have a full pour. You can choose which type of glassware you want it in. You can have a flight. I have beer, cider, and wine. They do have an outdoor patio and occasionally have live music. There are some snacks available for purchase. They also have a mead on tap. Plus a barrel, aged beer that you have to get at the bar and a couple of other wines at the bar.

What a great visit we had at Fawn Creek Winery. This place has winner written all over it…read more Winning staff (Keith is awesome) to a winning taste testing (we tasted at least 15 wines) to a winning outdoor seating area (covered and not), winning winery dog (Zoey is cute) to winning live music and a food menu that screams winner because it's perfect for families and the setting. Oooo, winner too because they have corn hole, checkers and music for the kids and us kids at hearts. Fawn Creek has a great setting ample outdoor seating amongst the trees and a superb wine list. We were told they are known for their fruit wines (which weren't bad at all). We ended up getting a couple bottles (less than $15 per bottle) and that deal snagged us some new wine glasses. Don't you live souvenirs for adults? Fawn Creek was perfect and it would be great for you too, a couple, adult friends or family, it's a win win for everyone. Sounds like the weekends are very busy, on a Friday evening around 4:30/5 in early June we were the only ones doing a tasting and there was very few people outside. This week we enjoyed their Wollersheim Bistro Wine Cellar Dinner for the first time. Wow! Held in the hallway at the head of their wine caves, circa 1850s, the setting is so unique with attendance limited. Cocktails / wine before, hors d'oeuvres, four course dinner with paired wine each round. Chef Romain and the knowledgeable servers were attentive, ensuring everyone's enjoyable time. They made for a sensational setting and experience. Their intent is to do this monthly or every two months. We are certainly looking forward to the next event, and will be visiting sooner to replenish our own bar!

Listen... this is the BEST kind of winery…read more Plastic cups for tasting. Local radio station playing. Aerial shots of the farm from 20 years and 2 years ago. A million news clips on the wall and tables with a view of the grapes. Very friendly owner who stopped to give us a rundown of every wine, before going out to mow (in the rain!)... and truly excellent wine. For context: We really like wine and have been to Napa and Sonoma, but also have had a LOT of wine from Michigan and Indiana. We prefer dry, but Midwest is known for sweet. We found these whites to be VERY good. Most grapes used here were engineered at the University of Minnesota--varietals like Frontenac. The wines are hard to describe... and come at every level of dry/semi/sweet... with a special character that is different from your standard Riesling/Traminette. We walked away with four bottles: Itasca, St. Pepin, Brianna and Bashful Blonde. (In the winter we may have made different choices) If you are looking for a spot that is 0% pretentious and %100 excellent... this is it. We will be back every summer.

July 28, 2025 - ordered tickets for my mom, my sister and me…read more August 1 - asked for a refund for my mom's ticket, her sister-in-law passed away and she would have to be traveling to Utah for the funeral. Mind you the website says no refunds, but I thought I would ask (the two other places we schedule tours with gave us a refund and I was appreciative). August 4 - I get an email - all three tickets or just one? August 5 - just one, my mom's, my sister and I are still coming. August 7 - am I able to get a refund? August 11 - I can get a refund, but they need to add a $13 tour insurance fee and I can get a partial refund. August 11 - I reply - that works. (Something is better than nothing.) August 15 - am I getting a partial refund? August 21 - am I getting a partial refund? So here comes the partial review - I can't even get into all of it - your head would explode... Within the first five minutes the tour guide talks about how his boss makes up stories. (I take a deep breath and say, zone out, enjoy the beautiful weather and trolley ride.) He starts off a story - "It was a dark night..., no, it wasn't a dark night, it's dark tonight." Head slap! We're parked in a cemetery, he shines his light on a headstone, then says, wait, that's not him. He then proceeds to tell a story about people putting coins on the headstones, then says no, they were rocks (which I, me, writing this, believe is a Jewish custom), then he proceeds to talk about the coins laid on the headstones. What the what?! The final crack up was near the end of the tour where the guide brings up Annabelle (which I only am vaguely familiar with seeing movie trailers, being 53 and the youngest guest on the tour), I have no idea how he is incorporating this into the tour as my sister turns to me and says - who is Annabelle? We drove around for 30 minutes after the tour to burn off energy, laugh at the ridiculous things the tour guide said and decompress. We were open to a fun, interesting evening. For most of the tour I zoned out and just looked out the window. To me what the driver was saying was too rehearsed. For me the best part was the cemetery which I went back to on my own the next day and wondered around. For me the tour was okay but won't do it again. There were a few couples including us, and that filled up the bar. Unfortunately, they had to turn a few people away because there wasn't room for them. I don't know if the wines are all sweet, but the ones that were available that day were all very sweet - which I love. I ended up buying a bottle of Marry me Berry to go. Delish! For $5, you get a bunch of samples...I can't remember how many, as well as a slushie - YUM. They have some nice glass tumblers for sale as well, and my husband snagged a couple. I recommend checking it out if you love sweet and fruit forward wines if you're in the area!
