You could tell the passion and family like atmosphere at J Henry. Our tour guide was Elista. The history and background was so interesting, it gave us a tremendous appreciation for their craft. The tasting at the end was so much fun, again, we learned so much about their brand. We then headed to the bar to continue. Next time we will take more time to try the bistro. We became fans of their bourbon and we will be back.

He works with other businesses in the area which is always great to hear. Shortly before we were ready to leave, a couple came in and didn't seem to really know what they wanted. The owner did a great job of describing the liquor options, making cocktail recommendations, and then ultimately went off menu to make cocktails they would like. We happened to be sitting next to the lady that does the tours so we thought, awesome, we love seeing old buildings and hearing the history so we signed up! It's $20 per person and about 50-60 mins. It was super cool to see, informative, the lady was friendly, and answered any questions we had. It was pretty amazing to hear that people actually live on the 4th floor, I wasn't expecting that for some reason. After the tour was over she played the large organ for us which was great. We sat down for another beer, listened to the awesome music the bartender was playing and set up our next tour at the Driftless Glen distillery. Bought a few nice wines and whiskey before leaving. They have this band and get togethers throughout the year. The whiskey I purchased was made specifically for the 250th birthday of America. At $120 a bottle; $100 goes to veterans. The blend is a mix of red, white and blue corn in the amount of percent of the colors of the flag! The grain blends consists of three colors of corn, red (41.5%), white (40.9%) and blue (17.6%) mixed to match the percentage of colors on the American flag. Aged 6 years in new charred Wisconsin oak barrels! Stop here if you can!

Not sure why... just doesn't seem right.) At any rate, I think their gin may be my favorite. GLD gin is my absolute favorite, but Death's Door is super solid, too.
