Just a short drive from Baraboo, Reedsburg, or the Dells you will find this local winery perched at the top of a hill. The tasting room is very large with 3 separate tasting bars that I imagine could support 10-12 tasters at once. The wine is mostly made from mixing their local grapes with grapes imported from traditional wine regions, as will be the case with most Wisconsin wineries. They offer a tasting for 5 sweet wines or 5 dry wines. If you like both, it is reasonably priced to do them both. They provide water to clean the glasses and crackers to cleanse your palate between wines. The staff pouring the wines seemed knowledgeable. The best part is when you get a glass, or a bottle and go to the covered or open gathering area. Here, you can drink your wine while taking in some scenic views of the farmland with the Baraboo bluffs in the background. The view was much better than I imagined it would be while I was down in the parking lot. (Btw, there is a pretty decent uphill hike from the parking lot to the tasting room and gathering area if someone in your group doesn't do well with climbs) If you want to turn it into a longer outing, bring your own food. Dogs are welcome too. I only get to the area once a year, but I will be back. read more

We stopped in to do a tasting and have a glass of wine outside and enjoy the view. The grounds are gorgeous. We went in and paid for our wine tasting. The person we were with was very nice. She seemed I formed in the wines. If the wine was all a little sweet for my taste but it was well made and I did end up buying one bottle of one that was more tart. We got a couple slushees and glasses of wine snd sat outside. The slushees are great. I highly suggest a stop! read more

My husband and I decided to make the trip from Madison last weekend for our anniversary, and we had so much fun! Once we arrived we went into the store and bought a bottle of Cloud 9 to share outside. I liked that they gave us actual glasses instead of plastic cups like some wineries. We found a table way down at the end by the vineyard, plenty of distance away from others. It was a very hot day, however, so after taking in the breathtaking view for a bit, we moved under the pergola for some shade. At first it was fine, but more people started to arrive and we realized the tables weren't 6 feet apart, so we started to feel a little nervous about that. After trying a glass of The Girlfriend, I bought a bottle to take home. My husband is more of a red wine drinker, so he purchased a bottle of the Sangiovese. We loved this winery!! Two thumbs all the way UP. I can say I agree with their saying, "Great views, great wines, great times!" Their tasting room is huge. The have three large tasting bars. We came here on a wine tour with a group of 8 in our group alone, so everything was set up for us when we arrived and there was plenty of space for everyone. I'd say there were about 30 of us and there was so much extra space to accommodate even larger groups. Our tasting expert was kind, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations without being pushy. We were so impressed with the wines! It's hard to compare wine tastings in California to Wisconsin but they were up there! They even had little crackers and chocolates to pair with the white/red selections. One of the red wines we took a bite of the chocolate first, sip of the wine, then another bite of the chocolate and it literally tasted like a fresh chocolate covered cherry. WOAH. We ended up buying a bottle of their Pinot Grigo (only $13!) to take out to take outside and enjoy for the remainder of the time we had there. The panoramic view of the Baraboo bluffs was STUNNING. This was the best part of the experience because it was perfect weather out and the fall colors of bluffs were gorgeous. Ladies and gents, if you're looking to get your cute fall pics, this is it- ha! Picnics are also welcome out there and they are even dog friendly!! What a great spot with fantastic views! I was pleasantly surprised at everything about this place - large tasting room with multiple bars, indoor tables and chairs to enjoy drinks at, a covered outdoor seating area, wonderful helpful staff, and good wines with decent pricing for the tastings. Of the handful of wineries I've been to in Wisconsin, this one is up there as one of my favorites for best tasting wines. They're no California wines (to be expected) but I did decide to come home with a bottle of their Sangiovese after tasting several whites and reds. I would drink any of their whites any day as well! read more

The tasting was rushed through. The wines were mediocre. Small pours and they didn't separate for patrons for covid.

It's soooooo beautiful! Yes, you have to hike up a hill like a goat in the Swiss Alps but when you get to the top there is a beautiful view of the valley. Then you go inside and it is spacious with a few tasting bar areas. It's clean and organized. The person hosting was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines, the winery and their club program. We sampled and purchased and then took a bottle and some glasses and sat outside under the umbrella heaters in the barn overlooking the valley. It was wonderful. We then hiked back down the hill. Be careful if you have had too much wine or you might roll down the hill!!! read more

I loved this winery. I went in February so there was a lot of snow on the ground. I am going back in summer time. The winery is in a perfect location in the middle of the bluffs, it is just beautiful. The wines are delicious, there is a good variety and each has their own distinct taste. This winery is family owned which is another thing I really liked. I did the entire flight of all wines and ended up having 2 glasses of the sangiovese and walked out with a bottle of it as well. Their popular wine is called the girlfriend and it has a fun story behind its name. It tastes like a moscato with a flavor of mango. It was refreshing. They have a cute little gift shop. I bought a hat and some honey. I was on a solo trip and I am so happy I came here. It is very welcoming and comforting. You need to go and support this winery! read more

I came here for my bachelorette party, it was our first stop. We did not have a reservation because we just wanted to buy a few bottles and sit outside, we had no intent to do any tasting. Upon coming in we immediately were approached with a nasty attitude. We bought our bottles and went outside. My maid of honor went in to buy more and was trying to make conversation with the worker by asking if they had a lot of bach parties come here. The worker replied with "yea, well there was a group of 8 that came in earlier with no reservation, thank god they just bought some bottles and went outside" I'm sorry but not only is it very unprofessional to talk badly about your costumers to other costumers but maybe make sure that you aren't talking badly about the people you are talking to. Beautiful location. Cloud 9 wine was pretty good. They allow dogs. I don't like dogs so glad there weren't any there when I was. (Please, dog lovers no backlash not everyone likes dogs). The young woman who waited on us was very customer friendly and she was very busy but handled it well. I would've liked a small plate menu to order some food. I didn't like having to climb a steep hill to the front door. Later, we noticed a driveway to park in a very small lot at the top. Worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

The wine prices are reasonable, glasses run between $3.50 and $5.00, bottles run between $9 and $15. They have a wide variety of chocolates that are very good. What a treat. Located in the snowy hills I found myself here on a Saturday afternoon. I walked into "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" being sung live and found out live music is one of the perks of this place. Shirley walked us through their variety of wines and made us feel right at home. We stopped by around 1pm on a Thursday and it was completely empty (which is perfect because I don't care for people) but guess what I do care for? This wonderful winery. The woman that served us was so pleasant. She gave great explanations of each wine and showed us the beautiful pictures. The Angell Semi-sweet wine is delicious! I bought a whole bottle. Also, The Girlfriend was another favorite of mine. The renovations looked really nice and the tasting room was rather large. I definitely recommend this winery! My sister and I spent a lovely afternoon at the winery. We had a wine tasting for $3 and it included a wine glass to bring home. Each sample was delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the amazing view. The air was fragrant with the beautiful flower pots on the tables. The landscape is breathtaking. Saw a hummingbird. The wine is beautifully labeled. Reasonably priced. Each wine had its own individual personality and charm. Something to please many tastes. My favorite winery in Wisconsin! Great service and really good wine. There are a variety of wines, from sweet to dry. The staff is knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable. The views from the new outdoor shelter are fantastic and you can sit under cover or out in the sun. There are picnic tables and plenty of space to enjoy the views.
