I tend…read moreto drag my feet on the self care/health department (no hair cut in over a year...anyone?) but I had heard great things about Invista Optical from a friend and it didn't hurt that they're conveniently located one mile from my house. I was able to easily schedule my appointment over the phone after a few rounds of phone tag and found a lovely appointment at the end of the day on a Friday to make for easy work scheduling. All three of the staff I encountered were professional and answered my questions about COVID safety precautions and cleaning processes. They also took my temperature upon entry. This particular visit was just for an eye exam but it's worth noting that they have a fun lineup of prescription (and non) sunglasses and glasses. Invista Optical is conveniently located a little over a block from the Cultural Trail and Mass Ave action making it especially handy for downtown dwellers and employees. Would recommend!

I was in and out within 30 minutes, with clear expectations of when to expect my glasses I was also able to call back in the office to have a team member help update an invoice for me so I could submit to my FSA - this was done over the phone, and she immediately offered solutions instead of excuses.

All of this was very important to me- I've had emergency eye surgery for a rare glaucoma and I don't take lightly who I see for my eyes! The office staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to see! The technology they've invested in is fantastic. The Dr. was excellent! She listened, gave great advise (saving me from future trauma even), and then went above and beyond to order me trial contact lenses- What I absolutely loved was not only that the service and care was wonderful, but I got those trials in exactly a week and all I needed to do was swing by and pick them up. The lady at the checkout was very inpatient and was trying to sell me a no brand frame and HI index polycarbonate lens for $320. ( the frame was $95 and the lens was $250. It couldn't have been $320 with my insurance) My insurance provided me with $130 allowance for frame and a good discount on other things. I ended up buying my glasses from TARGET OPTICAL. I bought a rayban frame with rayban polycarbonate lenses for $191. I am giving this a place a 2 stars because the eye exam went fine. I reached there on time and did not have to wait. This place is located in a plaza and you won't have problem with parking.

Waited over 2 hours for the email to say it was picked. Then just went in got the product off the shelf and canceled my online order. Over 20 of the item on the shelf. Went up to pay and was actually surprised they had real lanes open ( 2 stars ). Two employees with no lines were standing and chatting. I walked into a line past the cashier and I was asked if I was ready to checkout. I said yes. I asked her if she knew how long it typically took for a gift card to show back up on an account after an online purchase was canceled. She said she didn't know. The correct answer should have been I don't know but I will ask someone. So not able to use my gift card or circle points for my purchase. A few hours later it shows back up on my account. It's no wonder people do more and more on line shopping. The lack of care and service is the norm these days. The number of curb side, park and sit on your butt, in your car spots were numerous. When it was finally supposed to be my turn, I was told that my appointment had been given to someone else because they claimed I wasn't there--despite the fact that I had been waiting the entire time.
