He is in all ways a professional, and a forward thinking one at that. Excellent bedside manner, personality, and a depth of knowledge to draw upon which breeds well founded confidence amongst his patients. If you are looking for a personal physician, or help with weight loss, you should contact his office. You'll be glad you did.

Dr. Posner went a step further after becoming an internist. He went through rigorous continuing education to earn his diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine certification, which is only awarded to internal medicine physicians who continue their education and training while in practice. Generally when you're under the care of an internist, you won't need to see any other types of doctors for routine care. Internal medicine physicians, like Dr. Posner, are highly trained at diagnosing even the most complex of health issues. During your visit, he will gather information about your health, and family medical history and discuss any symptoms you're having, or concerned about. It's typical to order some basic lab work, especially if you're just getting set up as a new patient. He might order additional tests if further clarification with any diagnosis is needed. Once he diagnoses medical issues, if any at all, he'll be the one treating you. Or if you have a chronic health condition, like diabetes or high cholesterol, he will teach you how to manage it and prescribe any medications you need. Your primary care physician is an essential partner in your efforts to stay healthy. Even if you never get sick, you still need to see your PCP once a year, just to have screenings done for chronic conditions that may not show any signs.

Dr. Enelow has been my doctor for years and he is wonderful. Very easy to talk to. Dr…read more Henochowicz is his partner and also very good. Sarah is their physician's assistant; she will most likely be the one seeing you if you call for a sick appt. All are very popular, schedule appointments well in advance if you need to. The one area keeping them from getting a 5 is the scheduling. The receptionist is not all that friendly and the wait (both to get an appt and once you are there) is a bit too long. But the care you get is worth putting up with that. Updated May 2009 - They have replaced that receptionist with one far more friendly and I noticed the waiting room is running far more efficiently on my last visit. I'd give them a 4 1/2 now. My only complaint - they are a little too stingy with the antibiotics.

I have been seeing Dr. Enelow for almost 20 years, before he went into partnership with Dr…read more Henochowicz. Unlike many of the specialists I see, I have never been angry with Dr. Enelow. If he (or Dr. H.) doesn't prescribe antibiotics, there is always a detailed explanation. So far, they have not been wrong in that department. Too many doctors prescribe antibiotics too easily. Dr. Enelow takes good care of my husband's diabetes and my autoimmune buffet of ailments. He is easy to talk to. He also keeps up with all the latest developments. All my adult children have chosen Dr. Enelow as their family doctor, so that has to tell you how we feel about him. If he's not Marcus Welby (no house calls), he is the closest thing you can find today. Dr. Enelow, who used to teach at Georgetown University Hospital, keeps a close relationship with that medical school. It is common to find medical students in the office, and one of them may take your history and give a prelimminary exam. I enjoy the interaction with these young not-quite doctors. Drs. Enelow and Henochowicz always redo whatever the students have done, so no harm is done. I have never seen Sarah, but Dr. H. treated me for a rare allergy and changed my life. The allergy no longer keeps me from doing the things normal people do. I only wish I had gone to him earlier. Only four stars because the office is not run as efficiently as it might be. The constant change of staff and nursing assistants is disconcerting, but probably not the doctors' fault. That's just the way it is today: people move around in jobs. Also, they do not accept Medicare payment--I have to pay and be reimbursed. I understand why, but it's annoying. All in all, you can't find a better doctor in this area. I saw five before settling on Dr. Enelow.

My first visit at Inova Healthplex, they messed up the order and the following day I went to another Inova location and the specimen got lost. Today is Saturday and Dr. Barbano's office is closed but he called me personally to make sure I am feeling okay. Dr. Barbano is the exact opposite of my previous doctor. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with pneumonia after chest xray but never heard back from that doctor despite repeated follow up. It was probably a blessing in disguise because that prompted me to look for another PCP and found Dr. Barbano. I am so grateful to Dr. Barbano for his dedication to his patients. He has excellent bedside manner as well! Would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family because he will take great care of his patients!!!

My husband is in IT and the first he noticed when he entered the office, was that there was no automation in the doctors office. No computers, everything was done with pen and paper. This was his first visit and they did not have him fill out a questionnaire about his medical history nor his family history and the doctor did not ask about it either. Second my husband had made a list of issues he wanted to discuss with the doctor and the doctor barely looked at the list. Dr. Barbano was very condescending and did not even look at one of my husbands main issues, pain in his foot due to gout, even though it was the first issue on the list. I understand that when people come to the office with a list of issues, one might not be able to go over them all but that is when the doctor should tell the patient to schedule another appointment to go over the other issues. It did not seem like Dr. Barbano had any interests in seeing my husband again. My husband felt very much like just another number and that the doctor did not really care. It was like the doctor wanted to find the negative in everything. Needless to say, he is not going back there.
