The office assistant I spoke to was rude and unprofessional on a "follow up" phone call a week after I called multiple times and left voicemails requesting insulin. He discusses several options, the outcome of each, and which best works with my lifestyle for the best result. I have NEVER seen a doctor who cared so much. He always prints out handouts for me to take home and he directs me to related articles and resources to educate me on my health condition. I did not go…read morein with very high expectations given the mixed reviews online, however, I have been pleasantly surprised with the positive experience so far. Communication - Dr Joshi is extremely responsive in the online messaging portal, and so does the staff. There was once I could not locate an MRI order and I shoot her a message in the morning, she replied in the afternoon informing me it was just issued and uploaded to the portal. This is something I am still in awe with the medical system. We are in 2023 and we are primarily still calling back and forth the doctor's office. Endocrinology is complex but I feel that Dr Joshi does a good job in explaining my diagnosis in lament terms and outlining the treatment plan. She is also practical in the sense that if there is no need for follow up or further testing, she will let you know and not waste your time. My previous doctor insisted on regular visits with no concrete goals and plans which I felt was a waste of medical resource and my deductible. I have overall had good experience with their front desk staff. It can be hard to reach them some time, but they are generally easy to reach early in the morning or right after lunch at 1pm.

Even with a crying baby and an antsy 3 year old, they required that I have an appointment to drop it off. Ok - so I wait, but when my turn comes they refuse the sample saying that the times written on the collection are wrong and thus they must reject the sample. I explained the administrative misunderstanding with the recording of the times (despite having completed it according to the instructions provided), and that the sample would be the same. I asked to be able to change the label to accurately reflect their new instructions, but they refused saying that since I handed it to them they couldn't allow me to change the record even though it would still be accurate. Now the labs won't be done before an important appointment. A disappointing experience that felt most frustrating that there wasn't any effort on their end to come to a reasonable solution. Based on this experience I cannot recommend this practice to others.
