I must admit, I am a bit of a space case. I usually lose my car/house keys at least once every few months. Don't even get me started with the rest of my bad habits. Anyways, it is so nice to have reliable business like Dr. Lock permanently on my speed dial when I find myself locked out. I have used a dozen other locksmiths over the years and none of them respond faster than these guys. Take my word for it, don't call anyone else. Do not go here. Quoted around $50, tried to charge $125, negotiated for $85. It was late, I was tired and still had to haggle with the guy. Tried to guilt me to "be fair to the tech"-- as if he doesn't set the prices and decide the contract split. Jerk. Also, the tech used a ridiculous unlock method with blow up pouches and shoving a *screw driver* into the door which permanently cracked the frame and door and mangled the latch holder. I know its ridiculous because I had someone else come out and unlock it and they didn't do *any* of that. They used one technique and it took 5 minutes, charged $50. This is fair, not what this place is trying to pull. You've been warned. Go anywhere else but here. read more

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. So i made a dumb move and locked myself out on the balcony and my dog inside. After calling around and being quoted at an hour+, I called Dr. Lock. He was here in 20 minutes, and had my front door unlocked and the balcony door unstuck within 5 minutes. He was quick and professional. AND my stranger weary dog loved him. Gotta trust that doggy intuition. read more

First they quoted me a nice price but then tried to swindle me when the guy got there. Only after I told him I rather go somewhere else did he go with my original quote. During the time in which he unlocked my car he was talking down to me telling me things like, "I need to find a better job" and continued to insult me the entire time. Before he unlocked my car he had me pull up yelp to write a great review. Needless to say I faked it. So not only does this guy Yun(or Yon) try to charge an outrageous amount but insults me the entire time. And at the end of it he held my keys hostage until I wrote a 5 star review on this place(which I'm sure is why they have such good ratings) ***DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE*** read more

This place is great. They are open 24 hours and I happened to lock myself out during Christmas eve. The gentleman was very cooperative and accommodating on the phone. John arrived at my home very quick. He Knew exactly what he needed to do. The first time I called Paul's lock Smith and that was a mistake. They broke the rim edges of my door. John however opened it with ease, my keys and locks still work just fine.. He was extremely nice provided great customer service and they also have great prices. After searching a few days, I figured out that I lost my car keys and had to call a locksmith. Following the reviews on Yelp, I figure out that using those guys will be a good choice. Called Dr. Lock, and a tech name Steven showed up, cut a key for my Ford Explorer , programmed it to the car and was extremely fair with the price. I will sure recommend those guys ! My dog and I were locked out at 10pm and after giving them a call, someone was at my place within 30 mins. My apartment has keyless entry and the battery to the door was dead so my key fob couldn't open it; however they were able to open the door for me. It was a little pricey at $198 but customer service was outstanding. read more

Juggling two kids, I had manage to drop the car key in the baby carseat only to realize it when I locked and closed the last door shut. I had googled locksmith and the first company that came up was apparently contracted with Dr. Lock because he was the one that showed up. I must say the guy was quick! Once I signed my name on the dotted line he wasted no time getting down to business and I kid you not 5 seconds later I had my car keys in my hand! Highly recommend! Yuval was extremely quick to arrive and got my deadbolt and normal lock unlocked in no joke 5 mins. I am completely impressed, the whole thing took less than 10 mins plus he didn't have to drill out my deadbolt which saved me some money! If you ever in need o would highly recommend him! read more

The buttons had fallen out, it was cracked, and it was long overdue for retirement. The dealership would have charged me an arm and a leg and probably my whole salary but Busy Bees saved me big time! Travis cut and programmed my replacement car key on the spot. He was super friendly, personable, and a great conversationalist. I was in and out in about 15 to 20 minutes. Luckily, I was the first one there with no appointment. So no wait! Woot! They also have multiple locations and their hours vary so check out their website for the details. You can book online or just walk-in like I did. They also have other services and is mobile. You can really tell this is a family-owned business that loves what they do. No upsell, no pressure. Just honest quality service at a reasonable price. Plus, it is right in the heart of Little Italy so you can reward yourself with some good food or enjoy the Waterfront views nearby. Zero complaints here. I felt completely at home and well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need locksmith services. Highly recommend!

And the locksmith was available to come out the same day so I went ahead and took a chance. Very glad I did! He worked very carefully for about 45 minutes or so and got a brand new key fob and spare door key cut that work perfectly in my vehicle. No more worrying about losing the original key fob! Emory H. Of all days, I locked my keys in the car on a chilly Christmas night. I searched for a locksmith and called DR Lock. A gentleman from dispatch answered my call and quickly provided a summary of the charges. The dispatch gentleman also indicated a person would arrive to assist me in twenty (20) minutes. Amazingly, a locksmith named Yaron arrived in a timely manner. Yaron exited his service vehicle and provided a courteous smile and a firm, confident handshake. Yaron looked at my vehicle and quickly determined the services needed to resolve my issue. Yaron obtained the proper tools needed and promptly gained access into my vehicle - I obtained my keys. The entire process was excellent from dispatch to Yaron. Yaron performed his work duties in a highly efficient and professional manner; and his summary of the payment process was clear and concise. Getting locked out a vehicle on a Christmas night was not my favorite moment, but Yaron's excellent common courtesy and friendly demeanor also made the process much easier to handle. Came out quick (about 20 min) charged $19+103 for the lockout. Informed him that the location was an air bnb. I told him that I cannot have any damage to the door. He asked what my other option was, I told him wait for the owner to tell me where the spare was. Insulted me claiming that American's spend all the money they have (offensive). Damaged the door breaking in causing me to lose my $200 deposit. Was rude the whole time. He may want to reconsider his profession to be a behind the scenes type of guy since he does not know how to talk to customers. Claimed I was wrong when I told him that my key no longer turned the lock, he tried with it and then told me it was the wrong key. I assured him that it is almost impossible for the key to change by itself. He was certain I was wrong. I tried again with more force and it worked. It seemed that the lock needed to be knocked loose a little from the hammering of his key. All in all, it would have been far cheaper to break a window. read more

So here I am with a broken door lock on my apartment, as my tenant was trying to replace the knob and deadbolt. We bought the replacement door handle and deadbolt assembly. However, we could not figure out how to remove the existing broken door handle. In comes Dr. Lock to save the day! He did in fact get the old set out and the new set installed within about five minutes. I'm pleased with his work. My opinion is that he should have his own direct business, and if you want a skilled locksmith for any need, call him directly. He is talented and has a great understanding of all things related to locks. He even showed me how to rekey my door when the tenant moves out, which is an extremely useful bit of knowledge. After my experience and discussions with him, I have found Yuval Green to be a reputable businessman who is very talented, fair, and highly skilled. He will work hard for you and give you a very good deal on expert locksmith services. read more

6:30 am, outside front door without phone, money, keys, shirt, shoes -- only sweatpants, socks and the 3 newspapers I was retrieving from just beyond the doormat, when . . . "click!" went the door, and for San Diego it was a cold morning. Walked to nearest gas station (Chevron on Washington at Park), they helped me and called Dr. Lock. Five minutes later, Yuval arrives at front door, moments after I walked back from Chevron. It's a very difficult lock. Two years ago, the same lock took another locksmith 30 minutes to open. Not so with YUVAL. He works really, really fast and popped it open in less than 3 minutes -- maybe even quicker. Never had such great locksmith service before, and now I know exactly who to call. Just have to make sure my phone is in my pocket! Saved by Dr. Lock. read more

Yaval "Dr. Lock" did a fabulous job helping us get into our condo and replace our lock. We arrive home from a trip on Christmas eve to discover our front door lock had been tampered with and we were unable to access our condo. We called for emergency assistance and Yaval arrived within 40 minutes to assist us. He was able to drill through the current door lock and allowed us access to the condo. He installed a new lock and all within 30 minutes! He was pleasant and extremely upbeat for being called out at 8:30pm on Christmas eve. I highly recommend using Yaval for any of your locksmith needs. He definitely knows what he is doing and is very reliable. read more

I managed to lock myself out of my office this morning at around 6am. I had a meeting to prepare for at 8am so I needed to get in ASAP. I did a quick search on Yelp and I really liked what other people had said in their reviews. I called Dr. Lock and they had a locksmith out by 6:30am. He arrived hopped out of his truck and got straight to work, no funny business. In about 10 minutes he was able to get me into my office. I couldn't believe how fast he was able to work, it was like he was a machine, nothing could stop him! I could not be more grateful. DR Lock was lightening fast. He quoted an arrival time of less than 25 minutes and then phoned again when he was 10 minutes away. DR Lock skillfully replaced two (2) front door locks in under six (6) minutes. DR Lock was professional, courteous, and stayed focused on his work. DR Lock was so good, I added him in my contacts and forwarded his info to my friends. When you're locked out or in a jam, the last thing you want to do is to shop around for a Locksmith. he is professional and goes above and beyond to help you get into an area. we were locked out of a business with magnetic locks, we couldn't get into the building through those doors so we had to go in through another suite tied to ours and we had to remove sheet rock to expose a door we had covered over with bars and sheet rock. this guy comes prepared for every little thing and he worked for his money. he was here within 20 min as promised and helped us get in and made us new keys for our back door. read more

They did a really good job! I got stuck at the mall because i forgot my keys into my car and i was crazy for look for someone who can help me to open my car. the worst part it was that i had not much money and when i called to dr lock he gave me a REALLY good discount comparing to other locksman that i called, they also came really fast to the place; the tech guy was really nice to me and it only take him like 5 seconds to do it without causing any damage to my car! Last night i was in the end if my night shift. I went back home around 8 am and suddenly I realized that i dont have my apt kets with me. I searched around for a locksmith close by and found dr lock. Yaron the tech came in about 10 min, explained me the price thst was much cheaper than i tought it will be and in about 3 min he picked my lock without forcing me to pay for a new one. I will use this company again, for sure. The guy came out within a half hour and it took 5 seconds for him to open my car door. He said his name is Yuval, he had a great personality and made light of the situation, I was clearly upset after locking my keys in the car. He made my day better. I got locked out of my house on Sunday evening I called around and even had one lock smith come out and jack up the price more than half on me. I called Dr. Lock, right from the beginning it was a pleasant experience. Someone was sent out right away and he worked with me on the price. Dr. Lock was here May 28, 2016 to help me with a front door lock issue and replaced the dead bolt and the front door locks effientally with no dirt grease or stains at all. Arrived on time worked without a break, very friendly, well manored, appropriately dressed, well educated and explained the work to be done and the price ahead of time with no surprises. The service was outstanding! My lock was replaced and business was done in less than 10 minutes. Yurval was very professional, courteous and personable. Prior to selecting Dr. Lock I called at least 12 locksmiths for quotes that either gave me a very high quote or refused to give me a quote over the phone. Great example of an excellent service!!! He showed up 15min right after I called. The best thing that I liked about him is that he cared about customer's satisfaction. If I seemed to not satisfy about something, he asked about it and we try to resolve it right the way. The service was also quick which made it convenient for a busy student like me. Needless to say what a god send.. Thank you so much for your expedient services! Anyway, the story goes that we forgot to attach the house key back with the set, later in the day we went out for a drive and came home to find ourselves locked in the freezing night. When you locked outside at 2 am and the guy on the phone tells you that the locksmith will be there in 10-15 min you don't really expect that it will happen, so i was shocked first for really seeing him after exact 12 min and second for being so nice and fair. Wasn't charging me much and got me in is less than 5 min without damaging nothing in my door. Great job, very prompt and highly recommended !!! read more

I had to rekey my front kwikset deadbolt and before i requested the service i searched around and those guys showed up. No hidden fees. Within 15 mon of arrival and 15 min of labor this guy rekeyed my deadbolt and charged me only $58. I dont know other companies fees but i felt very secure with this guy. Great job and very fair price. Will sure use hime again if ill ever need a service done read more

Wow! My tenant broke off the front door key in the lock - so no way to get in. We called Dr Lock and the locksmith on call said he could be there in 10 minutes - and he showed up in 10 minutes! That alone made it worth it, but he also did the work quick and efficiently and at a very reasonable price. I'm going to keep his card for sure! read more
