Phone repair issue still not fixed…read more Review: I had my phone screen replaced here and from the moment I picked it up it started flickering and glitching. There is no physical damage on the phone at all. The issue clearly came from how it was reassembled. When I went back to address it the first questions I heard were "When did you get it fixed?" "Do you have the receipt?" There was no attempt to even look at the problem. No let's see what's going on. No let's determine whether this is on me or on you. It went straight to assuming it was my fault even though I paid 180 dollars and the problem began immediately after the repair. I was also told it might be because the screen was aftermarket. But aftermarket screens are still supposed to work. Assembly matters. If the repair caused the issue then taking ownership matters. I checked my review history before writing this. I have never written a bad review before. I'm only writing this to protect the next person. If this had been handled with integrity I would gladly leave five stars. Mistakes can be fixed. He gave me a receipt for a $26.75 deposit on a $53.50 bill. I was told it would arrive on August 24. I called that day in the afternoon but was sent to voice mail. I left a message but was never called back. I drove to Screen Doctor, a 20 minute ride, on August 26 to check on the battery's status, and after he made an online check he told me that it wouldn't arrive until August 28. By August 29 I hadn't heard back, so I called in the late afternoon and was told that he had to go to the shop to see if the battery had arrived. He would call me back in five minutes. He never did. On August 29 I called again and left a another message, this time I was irritated.. Someone got back to me in about five minutes. He said he would go to the shop and check on the battery. He called back a few hours later and said that it had arrived. I told him I'd pay for the battery but I didn't want to have him install it after all the trouble I'd had. I went there today, Sept 1. The tech I saw, who was relaxing with his feet up on the counter, chatting with someone, went in the back room, mumbling something I couldn't understand, and came out telling me it wasn't the right battery. He gave me back my money. Three trips, wasted time, and nothing to show for my effort. I give Screen Doctor 5 negative stars. One of the worst experiences I've had with customer service.

A few years ago I came to resolve an issue with one of my laptop drives to check if they would fix, come to find out that my laptop had over 300 VIRUSES of all kinds and not to mention that they rolled back from Windows 10 to Windows 7, basically they already grabbed an infected hard drive with Windows 7 installed and replaced it with my old drive. Years later and I came in to fix a phone because it wasn't charging, it was plain and simple, all you had to do was plug in the cable back due to all the drops that happened which ended up disconnecting the cable connection that allows the phone to charge. So the guy decided to make up this story about how the battery was BLOWN or EXPANDED which is why it wasn't charging... they would be able to fix it by switching the batteries on another phone I had with me, the cost would be [$40] just for this simple fix, he then proceeds to say that it will take about an HOUR to switch batteries... 1 hour later and I came back with a person that said: "So we found out that nothing was wrong and that your charger plug was just simply disconnected, normally we would charge [$60] but since the fix was just to plug it back in we'll just charge you [$20]" Well that's quite hilarious I must say, $20 just to plug a cord back in. What was all the work for the $20? A simple detachment of the back cover, and just plug in the wire/cord, yep fork over those $20 now. At most I'd give $10 for a simple fix as that and at minimum $5. But to figure out they were going to uproot the price from $40 to $60 is just a plain scam. I'll also mention the fact that they decided to take out the magnet and try to keep it to themselves or perhaps even throw away because it wouldn't STICK BACK into the phone's back cover. The only thing I'll say about this place, thank you to the guy who was chill when handing over the phone, compared to the guy that took me in who seemed like he was arguing/yelling at me. Do I recommend this place for anyone? HELL NO, there's better places out there. 8/100
