Amazing food, service, and atmosphere today. Our server was amazing! The food was great. Our picky eater loved the fries!

This establishment is located in the mall at the entrance. It has a welcoming feel and a friendly staff. The interior is spacious and bright. We ordered the Bad A$$ BLT. The only issues with it were that it needed more mayo and more tomato to even it out. It started out very dry so the additional mayo helped but either thicker sliced or just more tomato would help. In all it was great.

I like that the place actually is well lit. Not many places like that Lots of things on the menu and they all sounds good. Ordered the green chili tortilla burger. I hope it is good. So the cook does not know what medium means on a burger. They gave to me rare and bloody. While the tortilla burger is amazing they just need know cooking. Service is great and that is what made the difference. I opted for onion rings and was not disappointed. Spaghetti you can not go wrong with it, so tasty and just right amount of sauce. Just beware the menu is on the expensive side

Stumbled upon the new location while shopping in De Vargas Mall. Great decor and a chill vibe. We were seated right away for lunch. They have a large area for dining indoors, plus a great looking patio outside. We chose the cozy bar area to enjoy our lunch. We ordered their DFG Cuban sandwich, with fries. The house made ham and pulled pork are exceptional. And the bread! The bread is perfectly soft in the middle with crisp crust on the outside. Previous Cuban sandwiches I have had were a little different than this version. The DFG Cuban with the smoky pork, crisp pickles, creamy cheese, and flavorful slaw is juicy and delicious. The fries had a "blistered" texture that gave them a great taste and crunch. Glad we took a break from shopping to enjoy this local eatery. We plan to work our way down this menu!

slow service. Even though the onion rings appeared to be House made, they were lackluster. OK burger. Must admit this is not my favorite place but my husband likes it. So we come here occasionally.

This is our first time eating at the NEW Dr. Field Goods. We ate at the old location many times and loved the food. The menu is different; some of our old favorites are gone, and there are new items, but overall, this restaurant is as good as it was in the past. I had a new dish (for us), the Kyzer Pork Chop. We buy Kyzer in the Burcher shop; they are outstanding, and the version on this menu is superb. Tender as I expected, perfectly cooked, and very, very tasty and unusual. I highly recommend it. My wife had the Mussels. This is different from the version at the old restaurant, which was Thai-inspired; this version is very different, made with a bacon/garlic butter sauce but delicious. Great quality mussels. Service was very good; food came to the table quickly, considering the restaurant was packed full. One of our friends had the burger, and it looked great. She was very happy with it. I want to try it next time, as the meats here are all super top quality. Check out their butcher shop next door. Another person had the Reuben, which I ate all the time at the old location (butcher shop), so I am happy to see it is available here. One of the best Ruben's in town.

The ribs were perfect, tender with a little cheese. Just wished we ordered an extra muffin because they're cheap and delicious. Second night I had a salad with salmon. If I lived in Santa Fe I'd need to buy a new wardrobe. The vibe was bustling, I liked that the booth tables were slightly elevated; solid bbq joint atmosphere.

We had two large parties sitting on both sides of us, so it was a bit noisy but not too loud to where we could still hear each other. I did notice one couple asked to be reseated onto the patio. Started off with their apple - walnut salad - delicious. Then the flat iron steak which had to be one of the most flavorful and tender flat iron steaks I've ever tasted. We also had the ranch salad with a skewer of the brown butter bbq shrimp. Would love to know how they made the brown butter bbq sauce, so good I could drink it. Our food was delicious. The service could have been better. We were never checked on and we had to track down our server to get out check. Literally did not see her for about 15 minutes. Truly thought she may have been on break. I do remember her name, but she could have been super busy. There are so many great restaurants in Santa Fe, but if you're looking for a casual dinner this is the place.

We were warmly greeted and we're happy. It was on the quiet side since they weren't busy yet. By the time we left, it was busy! We really enjoyed our server, Paris. He was warm and seemed to take a general interest in us. I shared my concerns with him that my pallet doesn't tolerate much spicy. He at all. He assured me there would be no problem in accommodating that. He started us off with a complementary prickly pear & lemonade drink which we loved! He also provided a complementary appetizer which was very unique and made out of avocado and mascarpone and some other items I don't remember. Why I didn't love it, I did enjoy hasting something so unique and different. We started with the best cornbread I've ever had that shaped like a cob of corn with three different kinds of butters. The cornbread is $12 and worth it! Next came the Caesar salad wrapped in some kind of egg roll wrapper and topped with an anchovy mixture. We split it so we each got two rolls which was plenty. We very much enjoyed the flavors in the salad. Don ordered the Wagyu short rib with polenta. While we don't love polenta, this was tasty and complemented the beef nicely. Don said this was the best short rib he ever had. I wish I had a picture of how they presented it. When they took the lid off, there was a lovely steam cloud and it smelled wonderful. I had scallops with each one placed beautifully on top of of really interesting wild rice and finished with toasted coconut. The pineapple salsa and the Hoja Santa Fe Oil were placed in small rounds in the middle of the dish because they had some kick to them. What was especially impressive, is the gentleman who brought out my meal leaned over and said that the Chef wanted to let me know that the two items in the small dishes had heat to them, but I was encouraged to give them a try for the full flavor. Impressive! I was able to enjoy the pineapple salsa, but the oil was a little too spicy for me, but I'm glad I tried it. We would've loved to try dessert, but we were fully satiated by our delicious meal. It was quite an experience and we look forward to returning.

However, I decided to go with an appetizer I've never tried, the Bang Bang Shrimp, which was dynamite! You get four very large, crispy shrimp in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, though I didn't find it spicy, if that's a concern for some. The sauce was very tasty; the shrimp had great flavor, were plump and tender, and they were indeed crispy. This went very well with the arugula under the shrimp. I'd order this again in a second. I then had two tacos à la carte: Baja Fish beer-battered cod and Carnitas. Both were very large and excellent. The pork on the Carnitas was indeed crispy as it should be, and the cod was perfectly fried and delicious. My wife had the Asian Tuna Noodle Crunch Bowl: seared tuna, lo mein noodles. The dressing was superb; the Tuna was perfectly seared raw, and all the items that came with the salad (mango, red cabbage, daikon radish sprouts, kale crunch, edamame, cilantro, peanuts, toasted sesame) made for a lovely and delicious meal. Our server, Tony, did a fantastic job of keeping us all happy. My only 'complaint' was that Boxcar doesn't serve their amazing Brussels sprouts, or at least not all the time. Not on the menu. I told Tony and the manager how much I love them and was told it may come back as a special from time to time. Man, the Boxcar Brussels sprouts are amazing! Boxcar has very, very good food, and I would usually avoid what appears to be a 'sports bar,' but James Beard Foundation-recognized Chef Eric Stumpf will please the foodies every time. What is nice is that Boxcar has several seating areas, so if you're into food and not the 'bar scene,' they can seat you in an area that is quiet.

The restaurant itself is beautiful. We loved the interior décor, the comfortable seating, and the warm, romantic atmosphere. There was plenty of seating, and the full bar offered an impressive selection of cocktails, wine, and spirits, making it a great place to enjoy a drink before or during dinner. We started with the Seasonal Shrub, a refreshing watermelon-cucumber soda, and a perfectly balanced Hugo Spritz with elderflower, ginger, lemon, mint, and tonic. The Tuna Tartare was incredibly fresh, the Street Corn Velouté was rich and creative with red chile popcorn and lime crema, and the Seared Crab Cake was packed with crab and cooked beautifully. For our entrées, the Prime Filet Mignon and Cowboy Ribeye were both cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with whipped potatoes, peppercorn demi, and sautéed asparagus. The Roasted Chicken was just as impressive--juicy and flavorful with confit potatoes, bacon, mushrooms, and a rich chicken jus. We finished with two fantastic desserts. The Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding with salted caramel was warm, decadent, and unforgettable, while the Berries n' Cream with pistachio crumble was light, fresh, and the perfect ending to the meal. Market Steer Steakhouse exceeded our expectations in every way. The quality of the food, attention to detail, warm hospitality, beautiful ambiance, and impeccable service made this one of the best dining experiences of our trip.
