I purchased the Osetra Amber Caviar & Bourbon Smoked Trout Roe. Along with some blinis, mother of pearl spoon, & some Griottines Cherries (they are sooo good)! Everything was a hit and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I am so glad that I came because I got to see, for myself, how popular this place is for the food they serve. The line is so long and consistently long. They're not really just known for their meat market and food products they are known for their food line I tried a little posole, rice, beans, chicken guisado, and Carnitas tacos. I even got some Carnitas and Chicharron. I always recommend Chicharron if you have to have some kind of crunch and you like pork rinds. This is the best pork rinds you'll ever have. I have to say the chicken guisado was my favorite. Please note everything is fresh. They had fresh homemade corn tortillas . Not everyone has that! They have an amazing selection of drinks. I didn't even know what to choose from. So many different flavor is in Mexican soda and when I say Mexican sodas, they're actually imported from Mexico so they taste just like Mexico. Even though the line is consistently long, it moves pretty fast. I legit saw so many people take big orders to-go as if they were having a party and this was just on a Sunday morning. I didn't have it today, but on another day, my husband brought me a chili relleno from here and it was the best chili relleno I've ever had. They don't have it every day but if you're there on a day they have it please try. It is so delicious and it's huge! The cool knows what she is doing. The store is clean, hello constantly stocked up, very colorful as the layout is organized. Your butcher lady is very knowledgeable. You can ask her anything about any meat and she knows it all. Trust me, we tested it. Come try out the food!

The guy in front of me knew what he was doing and it was obvious he had been there before, so I followed his lead and got myself a lengua Taco and a Chicharron taco both on corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. Both tacos were excellent and the corn tortilla was super soft and yummy. They had places to sit down and enjoy your meal with salsas at the tables and counters. I gobbled mine down too quick to take a picture but I'm definitely heading back to try their other tacos and definitely will get the chicharron and lengua again. Service was fast and friendly. It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish... Next time I'm going to slow down and enjoy myself.

While this location is in Spring Branch and a bit further from us, it is well worth heading here for the ice cream. You can find your typical ice cream flavors like vanilla, cookies 'n' cream, and chocolate. Where this ice cream shop stands out is the unique ice cream blends such banana pudding, strawberries 'n' cream, and carrot cake. I had the pleasure of getting scoops for all the 3 mentioned flavors thanks to their ice cream flight which gives you 4 mini scoops of whatever flavors you desire. I added the s'mores & campfire to round out my 4 flavors. The carrot cake and banana pudding are my hands-down favorites; they taste just like those decadent desserts but in creamy ice cream format. My girlfriend loved the taste of the banana pudding that she ordered it in the waffle cone and was happy as a kid in an ice cream shop. The ice cream flight is probably the best bang for your buck. Ice cream sundaes and ice cream nachos are available along with shakes and floats. Additionally, pints can be purchased to take home. I should've bought a carrot cake one cause I can't stop thinking about that flavor. They also have a featured flavor which happened to be the carrot cake when we visited. They better make that a permanent flavor cause it's straight !

Rocket Fizz: 5 Stars to Flavor Town!…read more Rating: (5/5) Rocket Fizz is a total gem and stands out from other novelty stores. I'm giving it 5 stars and here's why: I've been to several novelty candy and soda shops and Rocket Fizz is the only one that truly has a more diverse and actually unique selection. It's not just about quantity, it's about the quality of quirkiness. You walk in and immediately feel like a kid in a candy store, but one that's been curated by someone with a wonderfully weird sense of humor and taste. My personal favorites were the bubble gum and sour raspberry soda - I never knew I needed it but I loved it! It was a surprisingly good and memorable drink that sums up the store's adventurous spirit. Beyond my soda find, the aisles are packed with retro candies, international treats, gag gifts and so many other weird soda flavors you'll feel overwhelmed - in the best way possible! If you want a shopping experience that's not ordinary, full of surprises and unique finds, Rocket Fizz is a must visit. Get ready to have your taste buds - and your sense of wonder - thoroughly entertained!

The girl behind the counter, with a bunch of piercings, seemed to have little, to no customer service skills, and scowled at me the whole time. I spotted one vendor selling goat milk and another a ray of bread like jalapeno, raisin, and sourdough. Also, they had food vendors on-site. My favorite was Don Jorge, who used chamoy sauce and condiments on everything. I got his chips with olive oil and his fruit drink with a sprinkle of spice. I must say the chamoy made the taste even better. Charleston Kitchen Pies sold out quickly. I was actually going to purchase the display, which was a bourbon pecan and eggnog rum sweet potato pie. Gumbo Now Vendor and Pain Train Salsa, where I tasted their avocado sauce with their Tortilla Chips, is one of many vendors. It's a nice farmer's market and shouldn't be missed. If you come out, there's a huge park for the children to run around and for you to sit on the benches relaxing or eating a taco or chicken biscuit sandwich; there's really so much out here. Ultimately, I wasn't very impressed by the selection, specifically in regards to produce. I came mainly to stock up on produce but all the vendors had very similar stock. Very little fruit. The vibe inside is super cute with mood lighting and plenty of intimate seating spaced throughout. Parking in said shopping center is sparse. I'm not sure if parking is allowed at the neighboring businesses after hours, but I wanted to play it safe and ended up waiting about 15 minutes for someone to vacate their space. Our group had a couple of tables reserved and they had no problem having everyone pay on separate tabs. Service is offered both at the table and bar. Our waiter was attentive and had great recommendations for wine. When I was conflicted between two whites, he graciously brought me out both to taste and decide. I went with the Cacciabruco Malvasia/Trebbiano, which is a skin-contact white wine, so it had more of a reddish hue to it and almost looked like a rose in the dim lighting of the restaurant. I really liked this, as it was on the drier side and satisfied my palate more than the Gewürztraminer that I had also sampled. I didn't try the food but others in our party really liked the flatbreads they ordered. I do want to try these out next time because I know they will pair great with the wine! I'm glad I finally discovered this place! I'll definitely be back for happy hour and even a date night. With so many good places popping up in in Spring Branch, I'm sure this will become a regular spot for drinks before dinner

There are books abound, along the walls, in the bathroom, everywhere. I had a glass of Experience, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a good pour, not too little or too much and the taste was deep, well balanced and smooth. Since the event took place around dinner time I also had a Fig and Speck flatbread. The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.
