We came back later on that afternoon and retrieved the phone only to have the screen seal fail a day later. Hey, sometimes the glue just fails for no ones fault. This is really a tip rather than a review (but can't find the "add tip" for this business). Basically the tip is that should you decide to buy one of their Groupon offers MAKE SURE that you use it less than 3 days after buying the voucher! Luckily I did - I bought an iPad screen repair for $94 but when I arrived at the little trailer store behind a Wendy's I believe - I was told that it was not valid for my iPad Air and that it would cost $379 to replace the screen (Black Friday offers around would give me the same model brand new for $450!!!) They could not give me a refund but luckily Groupon gave me a full refund since I made the claim within 3 days - otherwise I would have been in the hole for $94 for nothing. The iPad works fine just has a single crack on the screen that will remain until it dies!! Buyer beware and check the validity of your Groupon coupon before, or VERY SOON after, buying. read more

Very Honest and very professional. My cell phone got water damage from a rainstorm last Saturday. It dried out enough to turn back on but had water damage in the camera lens. I went to Dr Cell and they were more than professional and replaced my screen and dried out my phone. They informed me that my screen was replaced (I knew) but the other company did not install it correctly. They left gaps that allowed water to come in. Dr Cell dried the phone and fixed leak problem. Absolutely ridiculous. Waste of time. Took my iPhone 7 Plus to them to fix a simple cracked screen. Julio said It wouldn't be a problem. They fixed the screen but somehow wrecked the earpiece! I literally could not use my phone as a phone anymore! Took it back to them, where Julio took a look and tried to fix it. He couldn't get it to work so instead of replacing the earpiece at a loss (since they are the ones who destroyed it anyways) he put my original cracked screen back on and told me to take it to Apple care and refunded me the money for the screen. THEY ARE ON GROUPON BUT REFUSE TO ACCEPT THEM! I purchased a Groupon to fix my iPad screen and when I went to drop it off the guy I spoke to told me that the Groupon was valid and I was good to go. Well 2 days later when I went to go pick up my iPad a different guy told me they were no longer accepting Groupons and REFUSED to honor it. I had a Samsung 6 screen replaced. After a few weeks it filled with little bubbles that later grew to dime size. I've contacted them 4 times, twice in the store and twice by email. The emails they have totally ignored, when I have been to the store they tell me they will get back to me and never do. Location in Spring/The Woodlands, TX is a HORRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS is all I can say... This place is a joke. I took my iPhone 5 in for repair and I told them what was wrong with it BEFORE I left. I said the speaker and microphone need to be replaced. Speaker would only operate at about 1/2 sound and microphone when talking without the speaker on didn't work at all. They quoted me $125 and had me put down a $50 deposit and said the parts weren't in stock but would take "a day or two" and they would call me when the parts came in. A WEEK later I still hadn't heard from them so I called them. They told me "We received one part but are still waiting on the other. It will be another day or two." 3 days later I still hadn't heard from them so I called them back. Supposedly they had the parts, said it would only take about 1.5 hours to repair. I dropped it off but had my wife pick it up. BIG MISTAKE! She didn't check the speaker, THEY HADN'T DONE ANYTHING WITH THE SPEAKER! Said it worked fine! SOOO pissed... I took it back on Sunday. (this store is open 1/2 day on Sunday) A guy I had never seen before said he would have someone look at it the next day but they should have the parts in stock so it shouldn't be an issue. I called Monday at 1pm and the idiot I had been dealing with behind the counter could only tell me that he hadn't looked at it and he'd try to get to it later that day or the next. I called back AGAIN on Tuesday at 3pm because NOBODY at this place has EVER called me and he said he would have to order the part and it would be ANOTHER day or two before the part was in. I let them have it, I was pissed and let them know this was ridiculous! PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL SOMEONE!!! Here it is Thursday and yet again I have to call THEM to find out the status... Guess what??? ANOTHER 1-2 days because the part isn't in and he can't tell me when it will be there! I'm DONE with this place, NEVER AGAIN!!! I've now been on hold for 15 minutes with their Corporate store to file a complaint... NO SURPRISE that the service there is as bad as the other store! NEVER AGAIN... read more

So far so good- just waited an hour and my screen looks good as new! Its a tiny popup-like shop in the middle of a shopping center parking lot so its easy to miss. I got there and waited in the shop for about an hour- got some nail filing done- and jammed out to tunes the tech had playing. Tech was a young wiz who balanced repairs with customer service for the many guests who popped in with inquiries. I was skeptical, but when i got my lifeline (phone) back, it seriously looked flawless. I would suggest to get there during their slow time, perhaps during the week (?) to get it done with a shorter wait than the busy weekends. I brought my iPhone 6 in to get the screen replaced an hour later my screen turned black and my phone got extremely hot. I knew it was still on because Siri still worked. When I brought my phone back they told me it was because my phone was dead. I showed them that it was not dead that Siri worked then they told me it was just a faulty screen. They Changed it again and now my screen flickers and barley works. I would have been better of keeping my phone with a crack in it verse the damage they have done. STAY AWAY, AT ALL COST!!!! If there was a way to not even put 1 star rating I would. There are a lot of things going on here that really upset me. I'm not one to use Yelp in fact I didn't even have an account but I NEED to let people know the injustice of this "Doctor" Cell Phone. First the place is located in this old T-Mobile run down shack. I should have known not to use this guy just from the outside. Second, the web-site is wrong at it says they close at 7:00pm (they really close at 6:00pm) so I visit them at 5:30pm after I get off work. No one was at the front but I hear someone in the back, "HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE?!?" What kind of way is that to greet a customer? I responded "NO, THERE IS NO ONE HERE" referring that there is no one running the counter. So the guy comes around the corner looks like he just got done eating lays potato chip and woke up from a nap. Completely unprofessional. He makes it seem an inconvenience that I come in 30 minutes before they close saying, "I can't get to it today." he didn't even look at it. How does he know? So I left my number so he could call me back. Well 3 days go by and no word so I call him and he says, "Yeah I tried to call you." I ask, "What number do you have?" and of course he wrote down the number wrong. Well it comes to find out that he can't do anything. Completely broken. I say okay and pick it up the next day. Now all this is okay, fine I understand the guy hates his life because he works at a cell phone repair place. The thing that really gets me is when I go to pick it up he says that will be $38.99. I said "What? You didn't fix my phone?" he replies "It's a diagnostics fee." Funny how he NEVER mentioned that before!!! What a RIP OFF! I had to pay almost $40 bucks for what? Nothing! Incredible! Very bad business practices. Dropped off iPad on Monday around noon to get a cracked screen replacement. Everything functioning properly except screen with cracks. I was told it will be ready by closing (6:00pm). Later in the afternoon I am told the flex cable and home button not working & they need to send it to the Galleria for parts & replacement. The service tech said it will be done by Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning by the latest. Tuesday afternoon, no one answers the telephone. Wednesday, afternoon I make contact via phone and they said the part had to be ordered and it would be back and repaired by the next day. Thursday afternoon I calla gain and no answer. Friday afternoon I call again, and I am told it should be ready by Wednesday of the following week. At this point I told them that i want the iPad back and will be in to pick it up and take it somewhere else. They said they would call me when it came in. Saturday 45 minutes before closing I called and no one answers again. I tried again 30 minutes prior to closing and they answered the phone. I was told that the iPad was back. Where was my phone call to say it was back? Customer service is terrible and I believe they broke the flex cable and home button. Bad customer service, bad repair work and I now have and iPad that they botched up. The Apple store said that there was internal damage to the unit. Spend the extra money and go to Apple or at least somewhere else. Very disappointed! read more

Went into the store 1/12/18 to ask about getting the back camera of my iPhone 6s plus replaced, and was told they would need to order the part and would call back the next day. Went back the next day after getting a call saying to come in at 10 am, once we got there it seemed the part had never been ordered and there was no note or anything saying the employee had even tried to order it either. 5 minutes after leaving we got a call saying they magically found the part that had previously never been ordered. We went back and 30 minutes later we had a new back camera, the only problem was the camera was not a 6s camera and was malfunctioning. So we went back inside to ask about the issue and was told they could order another part and we could get it replaced the next day. Perfect.... well we went back the next day and AGAIN the part was never ordered. But the friendly employee said he'd call his boss who was supposedly on his way with the part. We waited for 30 minutes until we realized the manager was never on his way and would never get there. So we just asked for a refund. They told us we couldn't get a full refund so we are down $30 and still have a broken camera. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!! read more

I was DISGUSTED by the way Dr. Cell Phone stood behind their work. I fixed my phone screen for $100 there about 10 days ago. (Of course, that was the "incredible" price I got only after I was forced to write glowing reports on three different reviewing sites.) With my purchase, I received a 30 day warranty, which led me to assume that the technicians at Dr. Cell Phone stood behind their work. I WAS WRONG. Only 10 days later, my phone screen is completely unresponsive to touch and I was informed by the technician over the phone that the warranty doesn't really cover anything besides for lines on the screen. Basically, the warranty is meaningless. Now, they say, my only option is to dish out another $100 and have them once again fix my screen. But can I squander my money if I can't be assured that they will actually FIX it? No. Shoddy, shoddy work and terrible customer service.
