So glad these places exist! I saw a Groupon for another store and yelped it - bad reviews. So I yelped 'iPhone screen repairs' and found this location. My iPhone4 screen shattered after one too many drops, so I figured I could go to the Verizon store to talk about an upgrade to the 5. They laughed and told me to pay the $549 or come back in April of 2014. Awesome...no advice or help at all! So after I found this store, I dropped off my poor, broken phone. The tech was super friendly and explained what he would do, warning me that if the phone had been exposed to water sometimes it doesn't behave when they try to bring it back to life. I accepted, paid $75 for new glass and a new screen, and was told to come back in an hour. I finished my errand early and came back within 45 minutes - the phone was done! It looks brand new and works beautifully. Really pleased with the service and the quality; the tech was amazing! Too bad I didn't get his name to tell people what a good job he did. The negative - there is no sign off of 1960 telling you where this place is, and it's a tiny building, so if you don't know what to look for, keep your eyes peeled for a little orange building with no road sign. :) read more

Had a groupon and took my iphone4 here for repair. There was some misunderstanding around whether or not the taxes were covered in the groupon. Aaron (sp?) was extremely patient with me and explained the process. Not only that but my phone was done in no time at all!. I was really impressed with Aaron and will definitely bring any of my phones for them to repair AND recommend them to my friends. read more

These guys were great. First, I went to the store off of 290 and was directed to one closer to where I work. At that one (the 6500 location that I'm writing this review for), they were able to replace my iPhone 4s screen and my iPad 2 screen in an hour and a half on a Friday. They even threw in screen protectors. The guy working the front of the store was funny but professional and took the time to put the screen protectors on himself. This place is a no-brainer if you have cracked iPhone or iPad screens. Apple wanted me to trade the devices in for refurbished ones that I would have to pay for (~$400). Dr. Cell Phone replaced both for around $250. read more

Took my boyfriends iPhone 4 because half the screen was completely broken and cracked off. They fixed it the next day as they were out of my black screens but were getting another shipment that afternoon. We left and noticed a black mark on the screen. Also the screen began to skip when scrolling and not seeing the top row of text. Went back today. Replaced it. No hassle. It was great. Excellent service. Great job. read more

1960 & HWY 290 location in Jersey Village. I took my iPhone 4 in there with a cracked screen TWICE (hey, don't judge me....) and each time they fixed it like NEW. I would add to call ahead to make sure they have the correct parts in stock "before" you drop it off. 1st time I dropped it off late in the afternoon and had to wait until the next morning to pick it up due to a parts delivery and the 2nd time it was done in 2 hours!!! It's hard for me to believe that NO ONE has anything bad to say about this place. My phone suffered through some water damage recently and after waiting for 2 hours at Apple for them to basically tell me "Yep, it's water damage, give us $300 to replace it" a quick google search led me to this place. They tell me they charge $35 to even LOOK at your phone with no guarantee that they will even attempt or try to fix it. Basically they could be charging poor fools all day long and say they look, but really don't. Or even better, charge the fee and then quote them an insane price so they have to leave. I can't believe anyone would fork over that money. The best part is when the salesgirl told me "It's $35 to see if its water damage" Well no sh*t, I just spent half my morning at Apple for them to tell me that. Morons. read more

I took in an ipad 3 to be repaired and afterwards there was something that was behind the glass and you can tell that it's been repaired. Overall, I guess the job was ok but I wish it was better. read more

I had to get the front replaced on my Iphone so decided to visit this store. The techs were friendly and professional. They told me it would be an hour and it was! I am very happy with their service. My only negative comment is they need to vacuum the store but that really isn't anything to do with their service and I just wanted to make a note of it. This place sucks. Brought my phone in for a screen repair thinking it would be cheaper than apple. Turned out to be the same price. They got me to write a review on Google to get a discount before they even touched my phone. They fixed my screen in a timely manner, but left my middle home button loose. I came back multiple times for them to fix it then I noticed my screen wasn't even on my phone and I couldn't put on my life proof case. Brought it in and they fixed it "as good as they could" I could have paid the same exact money at the Apple Store without haveing to bring it back over and over again for them to fix it. My phone still doesn't look as good as what it did. Don't waste your time. read more

I will never cone back. Your sales person told me I needed a new battery because mine was bad. The new battery is worse than the old one. Your guys mislead me to believe I needed a new battery when I actually did not. So sad that sales ppm use these tactics on hard working ppl whom value there money. read more

I recently took my phone in to have the screen replaced so I could give it to my son since I was upgrading. They fixed it in a timely manner and it looked great. However, as I was attempting to put the phone in a new protective case the screen cracked. I am far from the Incredible Hulk, but geez, simple added pressure and it shattered like a cracker. Mind you I had only had the phone back for 2 days. I emailed them and sent them a picture of the crack and I swear I received an auto reply. If you ask me, I don't even think they read the email. Greeeaaatt Customer Service!! No offer to have me bring it to them so they could inspect it to see if there was "physical damage". Needless to say, I won't be using them again. If you use them, make sure you can touch the screen without it shattering. Expensive service, cheap replacement parts. read more

I went to this location to have my screen repaired after hearing good things. I arrived at 10:00 AM and was met by a friendly man who worked there. He said he had one screen left and that I was lucky enough to get it. I then left my phone after giving him my passcode to it, my work phone number to call me at if there was anything wrong, and etc. He told me that I should come back around 11:00 AM - 11:10 AM. I went back then and to my surprise, he said the screen was faulty and he couldn't replace it. Now, he had my work cell's number, so he could've called to tell me that, but he didn't. He then made an excuse about another shipment not coming until later on that day. I got the general feeling that he was lazy and didn't want to work. When I first walked in he complained about not being able to eat breakfast since I came in right at 10:00 AM. The store opens at 10:00...seriously? I then went to the Woodlands location and was able to track down a cover that another person had lost rights to when they didn't show up in time to claim it. I recommend that location, not this one. read more

I was DISGUSTED by the way Dr. Cell Phone stood behind their work. I fixed my phone screen for $100 there about 10 days ago. (Of course, that was the "incredible" price I got only after I was forced to write glowing reports on three different reviewing sites.) With my purchase, I received a 30 day warranty, which led me to assume that the technicians at Dr. Cell Phone stood behind their work. I WAS WRONG. Only 10 days later, my phone screen is completely unresponsive to touch and I was informed by the technician over the phone that the warranty doesn't really cover anything besides for lines on the screen. Basically, the warranty is meaningless. Now, they say, my only option is to dish out another $100 and have them once again fix my screen. But can I squander my money if I can't be assured that they will actually FIX it? No. Shoddy, shoddy work and terrible customer service. I am extremely disappointed with the way you handled this malfunction. read more
