For the normal person with no computer knowledge and want some special treatment or a window into the computer world I would recommend. My personal experience: I had a VERY specific issue and unfortunately it was MY fault that the issue even happened with my PC. However they could not fix my problem, and charged me for diagnosing without ANY communication about starting or anything regarding diagnosis (I called later in the day I dropped my PC off, no sort of work was done, I called two days later, no sort of work was done, I showed up the next day and supposedly once talking face to face there was a bunch of diagnosing done, and my problem was NOT able to be fixed) If I knew then what I knew now I would have saved money, time, and sanity. Also very bad timing with when I brought it in, they were swamped so I will give them that. If you want communication, it has to be done in person... just saying. Quite literally show up and talk to the guys, they are VERY nice, got nothing against them, just communication is poor over the phone, or at least between workers (person who picks up phone and person who works on PC) read more

Good service, saved me buying a new laptop. I encountered blue screen of death, windows wouldn't start. I had a couple of tears Niclas I work with try and recover it, we got the data off but couldn't reboot the laptop. Twice in the past six months I have come to this store with problems with my laptop. Apparently Windows updates did not finish correctly and I was facing the BSOD each time. I took my computer in and paid for the express service to have it looked at sooner. The communication I was given was always at my own doing by calling the store. They seemed to be behind or understaffed and it took them over a week to test everything in my system, and the only thing they could tell me was that they "assumed it was my motherboard" causing my blue screens. I consider myself very proficient with computers as I've built close to a dozen systems, but with OS and other issues admit I am out of my league. I spent $150 to have my computer sit in their shop for over a week and wasn't really given any clarity. I went to a local place to purchase computer parts and got a new system build instead. They had laptop (daughter's) for around a month only to say they could not fix and try to sell my daughter one of their used laptops. It was picked it up, taken to another repair place/person and had diagnostic and cost to repair within 24hrs. Laptop was repaired with no data loss within 48 hrs. by this other person. Honesty is extremely important to me, and this business is as honest as it gets! I had a problem with my computer that I could not figure out (when I usually can figure most things out) so I took it in and had good conversations with David and Ross, both of whom were very nice and clearly knowledgeable. I was trying to calculate what it would cost me if different hardware had to be replaced and braced for the worst. But to my surprise when I returned Ross said that there were no problems that he could find. Having never had this type of problem before, it turned out that the problem was with my monitor screen. For years I had been turning it off at night but never unplugged it (which had to happen to let the capacitors discharge completely to fix this problem). It would have been easy to take advantage of me by claiming that this that or the other needed to be replaced but that just did not occur. I highly recommend this business!!! read more

Long story short, my computer was damaged, so I dropped it off at Neobox. They not only tested the individual components and placed and mounted them correctly within the case, but they also reshaped the case with a rubber hammer. When I arrived to pick it up, I thought, based on the amazing re-fitment of the sides of the case, that they would overcharged for the work. Fortunately, I was completely wrong in my assumption and actually paid significantly less (emphasis on significantly) for the work. These guys are not only good, but they are indeed craftsmen. Fantastic service! My laptop completely crashed. I was in a panic because I use it for work and I had sensitive data on it, so I took it to Neobox at 10am when they opened, and about 4 hours later they called and had all of my data pulled off the hard drive and wiped the computer clean so I could send it off for warranty repairs. These guys are great, and honest! My computer would not boot. They diagnosed the problem as a bad secondary drive that a big box repair shop left in after installing a new drive. Even though I inadvertently told them the wrong drive info, they figured out the correct info based on the drive label and removed the bad one. It booted right up. They only charged me for the diagnosis. I am very happy to have found an honest shop. I will take all my repairs and upgrades to Neobox from now on. read more

Given our experience, I have a hard time believing these reviews. First off, the no longer provide free diagnostics like there website claims. They don't tell you this until the bill comes. Then they say they know they need to change the website, but they are purposely choosing not to, as it has been months since they were informed. Also, it took them a week to even look at our computer. We told them not to do anything to it except diagnostics without our approval, but they went ahead and tried something, didn't fix the problem, and still wanted to charge us. Do not trust the few reviews they have. Our experience is real and I am sure we are not alone. We'd never go there again and are just trying to save someone else time, money, and problems. read more

These guys built me a computer a couple of years ago and they did an AWESOME JOB!!! I just told them my main uses of my computer (gaming and media) and they build it utilizing all the latest and greatest technology at an incredibly affordable price. The cost of my computer was less than buying one brand new from a place like Best Buy and performance WAY BETTER than anything you can just flat out by, except for maybe Alienware. But like I said, it was less than half the cost of Alienware. I dont trust anyone else more than the guys at Neobox. They're some nerdy dudes that know their stuff. I even go to the extent of driving back home to The Woodlands from Austin if my computer ever needs maintenance or upgrades. read more

I can't say enough about how awesome the folks at Neobox are! Had a laptop that was constantly shutting down. Sent it to the manufacturer three times, spent several hundred dollars and the problem still persisted. Took it to Neobox and they immediately diagnosed the problem but let me know it was repairable - didn't charge me a dime! So I asked them to make a recommendation on a new laptop - Jeff did the research and ordered the new laptop, Chris got it set up and transferred all my data from my old system and voila!
