My shoulder had deteriorated to the point where a reverse total shoulder replacement was the only viable option. Needless to say, facing a major surgery like that was scary. But the results have been nothing short of amazing. I'm now pain-free and have regained strength I haven't had in 30 years! From start to finish, Dr. Sweet and his team explained every step of the process, answered my questions, and made sure I understood my options. I always felt informed and confident in the care I was receiving. A special thank-you to Dr. Sweet, his Nurse Practitioner Michelle, and Office Assistant Anita. Each of them played an important role in making this experience such a positive one. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail made all the difference. I waited over an hour and a half to see the doctor, and when I was finally seen, my appointment took place in a casting room rather than what I would consider a normal exam room. After waiting that long, I expected a thorough appointment and some meaningful direction regarding my ongoing workers' compensation injury. Instead, I felt completely dismissed. Dr. Deitel repeatedly asked me what I wanted to do, even after I explained that I am not the medical professional and that I was there because I wanted help getting better. I was looking to my physician to evaluate my condition, explain my options, and guide my treatment. I left feeling like there was very little interest in actually helping me or addressing my ongoing symptoms. The interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive, and I walked out without confidence that my injury was being appropriately managed. Dealing with an injury and the workers' compensation system is difficult enough. Waiting more than 90 minutes only to leave an appointment feeling like I was expected to figure out my own medical treatment was incredibly frustrating. After this experience, I have requested an immediate transfer of my care to another provider and will not be returning to Dr. Deitel.

After scheduling two months worth of PT, the very next day one of their staff calls telling me that they no longer accept my insurance! Typical. America the "GRATE" sucks too. So I have to go back to my PCP. (A child that they gave a certificate to, but has to get an "okay" from anybody else before doing ANYTHING at all!). I have to wait for them to refer me to somebody else. It's all a waiting game. By the time I get another referral to another QUACK, and this idiot is worse than the first one... I could have driven to Tj and back and gotten healed already!!!!! Then V.O. Calls me back, telling me that the clinic doesn't accept my insurance, but Dr. G does, and he would like to continue w/ my treatment. Great. We make an appointment. We keep the appointment . Only to be told, by the Dr. himself, that they are no longer going to see/treat me, due to the insurance mess! Those of you who are dumb enough to even call this place, don't say you weren't warned. I had my right knee done three years ago by Dr. Ballard, and the recovery was so easy and the results so impressive, that I was actually looking forward to this procedure. This surgery was the easiest I have ever had. Surgery was at 2:30 and at 4:30 I woke up, got dressed, and went home. The next two days I used crutches just to be sure, but my knee already felt better than it did before the surgery. Virtually no pain after the procedure. Now six days after, my knee feels like I am 20 years old again. Dr. Ballard checked in with me to make sure I am doing OK, which I really appreciated. This doctor is a master mechanic and a truly gifted surgeon. Now I can play volleyball with my daughters without loading up on Advil.

We have had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Calderone's office in Camarillo…read more Dr. Calderone himself may be a perfectly capable orthopedic doctor, but unfortunately, the overall experience with his office has made us decide not to return. The biggest issue is the staff. Whenever we need paperwork, medical records, a referral, or really any type of request, we are made to feel as though we are bothering them. There seems to be very little urgency or concern, and it routinely takes days just to get a response. The office experience isn't much better. Every time we have had an appointment, we have waited at least an hour in a small, uncomfortable waiting room with the television blasting soap operas or other programming at a volume that makes an already unpleasant wait even worse. Even more surprising for an orthopedic practice, the restroom is not conveniently located inside the office. Patients have to go out the door and down an outdoor hallway to use it. Many of the people coming to an orthopedist are dealing with broken bones, serious injuries, pain, walkers, crutches, or limited mobility. You would expect an orthopedic office to be designed with those patients in mind. Our biggest concern, though, is simply the overall lack of care and compassion we have felt from the office staff. When people are dealing with injuries and pain, a little kindness, responsiveness, and understanding go a long way. Dr. Calderone may be a good doctor, but in our experience, he needs a more caring and responsive staff and an office environment that better accommodates orthopedic patients. Unfortunately, based on our experiences, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this office.

The only time he was not able to treat my pain was over a decade ago and he told me to go home and wait 2-3 days and if the pain was not better see a orthopedic specialist. That time he didn't charge me since he did not perform any treatment. I don't know of any other doctor who would treat their patients this way. Today I had two issues, one with my knee and the other with a very painful foot that I could hardly put any weight on. After only a 20 minute session I went home and a couple of hours later I am 80% better and able to walk! I can't say enough about Dr. Veselak. He is truly a genius!
