What a SORRY excuse for a "professional"!!! called to have wild life removed... he flaked on me the first day because of rain- after I stayed home waiting. but came next day (also raining!) really???!!! anyway, second day I had to call him to see if still coming (i shouldn't have to call you. be professional and let folks know) because he then had an attitude that I called... I agree with others about the arrogant and rude attitude this guy has. he came, didn't show me or explain beforehand what he would/ did do... he DIDN'T do what he said he would on the phone which is what I expected and agreed to for $500...he lied to let me have him come out and he could get me to sign that crappy invoice where he's scribbling over 'old' quotes. the guy didn't even want to give me a copy of MY invoice. who does that??!! I pay you, you give me a receipt - a detailed one might I add. then, he had the nerve to leave my roof door off!! and told me he's coming back so leave it til he comes two days later??!!!!-- is he serious??? so, I should have my home unsecured because your lazy, rude a$$ WON'T do what you're suppose to - leave my home the way you found it-- SECURE!!! should I mention he put my broom on top of my 1yr old baby's (cloth) play sofa? this guy is a rude a$$ joke!! wish my husband was at home - bet his attitude would have been much different. when I spend my money, I expect to get what I paid for (or was told I was paying for) and there is a standard that is expected. He definitely did not meet my standard! canceled that check right after he left! I guess if he loses enough business, he'll learn he can't treat people like that! NO STARS!!!!! you been doing this for 25 yrs? get a REAL, detailed invoice with current prices. and if it truly is an option/ policy to email them, then make sure you have my email BEFORE you slide MY check into your pocket! not just because I asked you for one! and why would I HAVE to ask??! what's up with that??!!! ** I should add he didn't even talk to me until after I gave him a check and then he over talked/ double talked EVERY question I asked. and.... I highly recommend David Quinn for wildlife removal; He Is the owner of this company. I have hired him three times over the last 10 years including this last week As nice as it is to have a backyard full of trees the downside of it is that my house has been prone to infiltration by squirrels. Animals will find a way to get it. If you do not deal with the problem immediately the damage can be extremely costly. I was lucky 10 years ago that someone from my neighborhood made a personal recommendation to use David. Within several days the squirrels were caught in non-kill traps and safely taken away. The next time the squirrels were in a different part of the house; again it was resolved within several days as the squirrels left the roof and went into the traps which are non kill cages. This past time was a lot more complicated because it involved a raccoon that initially made the hole somehow left and was replaced by a whole family of squirrels. I recommend this service because he really knows what he's doing. He was able to identify the cause of the issue immediately, and when it needed to be adjusted, he made the appropriate change. I was given the details and education about the situation, given a great reference for a roofer to fix the hole , plus advice on how to trim the trees to keep the animals away. Another important thing is that he's very upfront and let you know what the price of going to be from the start. Even though he lives pretty far away from me, every time a squirrel needed to be removed from a trap , within an hour of a call for me he was over there. I therefore give him five stars and recommend him to my neighbors. My other advice is don't let your trees grow wild and have branches too close your roof. Also, if a branch falls on your roof get it inspected immediately and repaired because what looks like a small dent will actually turn into a hole when a raccoon or squirrel realizes that it's a weak spot. read more

Dave is amazing at what he does! As new homeowners, we weren't sure what we were hearing in the attic. I called DQ on a Saturday afternoon, and he was at my house within 20 minutes. After hearing my description of what was going on, he immediately knew it was squirrels. He set up traps and even determined where they were getting in - which was NOT easy bc we have an extremely sloped roof that can't be walked on. By Monday, a squirrel had been caught! Dave came by as soon as I called him to get it, and determined that it was a female squirrel that had given birth somewhat recently. Sure enough, the next day another squirrel was in the traps, and it was clearly a juvenile. Two days after that, we caught another juvenile. Dave felt that we caught them all, but recommended leaving the traps up for a few more days. After a week, we were all in agreement that all had been caught!! I was pleased with the efficiency and knowledge he used to get the job done. So, I asked him to tackle our ant problem (did I mention we're new homeowners???). One application, and we haven't seen an ant since!! Dave knows his stuff, and I would recommend him to anyone. He's a hard worker and takes pride in his business, and even shows compassion for these animals and humanely captures and releases them. read more

i call dq pest control about a week ago,it was late in the day and i spoke with dave. he was courtious,proffesional and friendly. i explained my situation,racoons living in the roof of my house,and the mother had given birth!!! dave said he can come by the very next day at 10 am. i met dave at my house and he gave me a full expalnation of how it would work, he had already given me a removal quote on the phone. low and behold,dave went on to my roof and found a large hole where the raccons were living. i was expecting him to "bump" me on the quote,considering the issue was far worse than i thought! but no bump,just a proper explanation of the process and a request that i remain patient as the job might take quite a few days. on day 1 he humanely trapped the mother and removed her. day 2 two large pups,day 3 two more large pups. each time i called, he came as promised to remove and set more traps. problem resolved!!! i can not say enough good words,dave turned a nightmare into a solution without any hassle,and he was a gentleman through the entire process. it's good to know there are still some very honest and hard working business folks out there,and dq pest control,especially dave quinn,restored my faith !! great job dave...on behalf of my family and myself....thank you!! read more

As a real estate investor I have used DQ Pest Control on 4 properties, including my own home. The guy has numerous years of experience and is a real pro at what he does. He has caught numerous raccoons and squirrels that I have had to evict from a few homes we recently acquired. I believe he has even been on National Television before (Discovery Channel, etc). That should say something. I'm a results man. I rationally explain my situation to him, meet him at the property to hear his game plan, then text him every time another animal shows up in the trap. He has always shown up within 24 hours to change out the traps. If say a cat or bird ends up in the trap, when that is not what we were going after, he has never charged me for it. Within a few days, mission accomplished!! If you are looking for a soft spoken secretary to ask you about your day, this may not be the person for you. If you are looking for one of the best in the business, this is it. Give credit to where credit is due, that's why I'm taking the time to write this review! HORRIBlE COMPANY. I was at Cvs Pharmacy yesterday and David Quinn, owner of the company, was hired to come in and capture a pigeon that was in the store. Instead, he came in the store without telling any of the employees that he was there and shot the pigeon with a rifle twice at the busiest time of the day!! There were children around who were extremely upset that this happened as well as customers who were furious that this occurred. Blood was all over the place (which he didn't even care enough to clean up) and it even got on a customer's sweatshirt. When people confronted him about what he had done, he was screaming at them and threatening to arrest them. David Quinn is a completely unstable man with no remorse about the chaos he has caused. I have never seen someone so out of control. This was an extremely disturbing experience for many people including myself and little children. I do not recommend this company at all! Help to put this company out of business and please choose a humane and customer friendly business instead. read more

I called the DQ pest-control in a panic. It was 11:30 at night. I was hearing all kinds of noises through my walls in my bedroom. I believe the owner David answer the phone. He was so kind, he was trying to calm me down. To help me relax, he told me he would be over within 30 minutes. He showed up at my front door within 25 minutes. He told me to sit down and to take deep breaths not to worry that he will handle it. It turned out to be two squirrels. I found his company to be impeccable. By the way he tried to relax me and calm me over the phone . I thought it was incredible . Most companies I would've got an answering machine . If a service would've of picked up ,they would've told me to call back in the morning. This kind man came over immediately after hours . We had a serious wildlife problem for many months. Squirrels had gotten into the attic and recently even raccoons. Dave from DQ Pest did a great job over a couple of weeks to remove these animals. He came several times a day to remove them, even coming at night to remove the cages. Even when we had the bad storms he came over to remove a very large mean and nasty raccoon. I actually heard it growl and saw its teeth. We have two kids and were very nervous that the wildlife could bite the kids and harm them. Overall he captured a large raccoon and over 6 squirrels. He checked the attic and has now referred us to a roof specialist to close the holes. I would highly recommend him to any one. Once you have wildlife in the house then you will understand what a great service he provides. He is fully licensed and really brought a sigh of relief to my elderly parents who live there. What a horrible company or should I say owner (David Quinn). He is the nastiest businessman I have ever met. His company is a scam. After weeks of asking him for a copy of the service contract and receipt, I told him that it is business protocol that a customer should receive a receipt he responded to me "shut the f up". Isn't it common business practice to be given a receipt? Well not for him he wants to take your money and not execute the job. I hired him to exterminate Raccoons that are coming on the roof of my home, he clearly stated and took my money promising he can get the job done and his job isn't complete until he catch them. Three weeks later the guy David never caught anything but miraculously his traps are gone and he claims his job is done. Huh. I retained DQ Pest Control recently to handle the problem of several squirrels running loose in my house attic. Dave, the company owner, took an immediate and sincere interest in my plight and provided expert and courteous service. The squirrels were successfully trapped and removed within a few days (humanely). He also referred me to a local contractor (Carlos) who did an excellent job with removing and reinstalling the roof line gutters in order to repair (i.e., mostly replace) the rotting fascia board through which the squirrels had been gaining entry. It is a very good feeling to have received such first-class service from a professional like Dave. So let me start this review off with a story. My wife and I were preparing for a barbecue at our house tomorrow. I was setting up some outdoor lights and I dropped it on my Azalea bush. Suddenly I get swarmed by so many bees! I'm freakin out because we have a party. My wife gets on the phone. Mind you it's like 8pm. David says he'll be right over. He tells us to stay inside and he will take care of it. We were worried that we might have killed a hive of honeybees. Turns out that they were Bald Faced Hornets. Nasty suckers apparently. I discovered I had squirrel damage to my fascia last week. All along, the sounds eminating from my daughter's bedroom wasn't birds nesting but in fact, squirrel's nesting. I hired DQ to remove the squirrels from my property so that they could not return to my fascia and attempt to create a new entry into my roof and build another nest. I have had an ant problems for years and could never get rid of them no matter what I did. The ants would be all over my kitchen and bathroom.
