Sealed the likely entrance, built trap boxes ( YouTube... ) and used various baits. Rats are extremely smart and fast. He'd get the food but not caught. After a a few weeks I gave in and searched for an exterinator. The reviews about Joe prompted me to get in touch. The reviews describe him perfectly ! He came the next day. We spent almost 2 hours going around the house inspecting for evidence of entry points, nests, activity as well as getting to know each other. He is truly a nice guy who knows his craft ! Joe seemed impressed by my approach. Thought, based on what he saw, that there might only be the one and didn't see any obvious additional enrty points. He suggested a few new baits and traps and we decided to stay in touch before moving to poison. He refused payment for his time and advice. He promptly replied to my status texts over the next few days. Nobody caught, no success... until I got him ! Sent Joe pictures. Recieved a congratulations reply ! Now going to keep monitoring for a few weeks, traps set. Maybe my problem is solved. Fingers crossed my visitor didn't have friends and family. I googled a few pest control companies and Joroba promptly responded, and did an in person assessment the same day. Once all the logistics was worked out Jose and Walter came back at 7am the following day. They located and removed one dead squirrel. After a few hours the smell subsided but there was still an odor in a bedroom. Jose and Walter returned the same day, located and removed the second carcass. They returned the next day, patched the holes and thoroughly repaired the roof. The holes were patched so well that it's difficult to locate the repair area, the surface is very smooth. Amazing work. They were polite, cleaned up after and didn't leave until I was satisfied. They weren't rushing or trying to hurry along to get somewhere else. They will be my go to if the squirrels come back, but fingers crossed that they find a new home.

The better majority of them are complete scams. I went through 2 exterminators that were total jokes and scam artist, but had fantastic reviews that were clearly bought. I called parkway, honestly to get yet another walk through on the house. Stephen was honest and awesome. He look everywhere and couldn't find a bug. He looked at my "bites" and really pushed for me to get a second opinion before I waste a single penny more of "fighting" these bed bugs. The same day I went to an emergency dermatologist....low and behold it was never ever bed bugs!!! It was a severe allergic reaction to poison oak. Stephen put my mind at ease, and even left traps just in case but said your not going to catch anything to begin with lol. So thankful for honest, and good hearted professionals!
