Wow! A relative had ordered a basic pizza with their original crust and I was impressed by the generous amount of toppings, and the crust was that right amount of thickness/slightly chewy. My relative had also ordered an Alfredo pizza from their specialties pizza menu and that was also to die for! The Alfredo sauce wasn't overly salty and the chicken and other toppings were nicely interspersed throughout the pizza. Tonight we ordered the garlic bread, a deep-dish pizza with most of the toppings a supreme would have, plus a small 10 inch spinach artichoke chicken pizza from their specialty menu, with a cauliflower crust (Spinach 'N Choke is the formal name). Where to begin: I have never had a pizza with a cauliflower crust, and this crust was wonderfully thin! It has that slightly sharp flavor that comes out in waves and truly compliments the artichoke, chicken and spinach, and the sauce is the harmony to the melody that is the rest of the pizza. The garlic bread came in two huge slices that had a wonderfully browned cheese and garlic topping, where the butter just soaked through the bread so nicely it tasted like the entire piece was infused with the garlic and cheese! No on to the main deep-dish pizza. The crust was definitely deep-dish but not so bready that you lose the toppings in the bread and it actually had some chewiness that gave a pleasant intro to the pizza. The toppings and sauce were all the way out to the edges and the actual pizza appearance told you that it was going to be an incredible experience! There were absolutely no bare spots, thin spots, or flat spots. With each bite, you could taste every single topping on the pizza...this is the way pizza should be made. Not going to lie, the cow mascot that they currently have dancing in front of this place got our attention! It's tucked away in a tiny strip mall-ish place so easy to miss but I would recommend making the trip! Delivery, take out, or dine in. Their hand tossed crust is delectable, not too thick and very flavorful. For me, the crust is what makes the pizza! They have specialty za's or you can create your own. We also got the boneless wings, they were extremely small which was our only disappointment. 6 bite size wings for 6.99$ but the sauce was amazing (we got garlic Alfredo and buffalo, but there are many options) and they were cooked well. Downtown Pizza's new Thiensville location just opened and its got a really fun, seat yourself atmosphere to accommodate 30~ people or so. Grab a booth or table and check out the menu at your own pace. When you're ready, order up front; the only problem is, you pay at the time of your order which makes deciding on a tip and charging future beers a little sketchy. Service was very good, however. Speaking of beers, they have a nice selection of bottles and cans for a small location but the only option, so far, is drink it from the vessel which isn't optimal for craft, or a copper mug which isn't much better. I hope to see pint glasses in the future. The wonton-wrapped mozzarella sticks were delicious as is their pizza, though a little on the pricy side. Two beers, the app, and the small size pizza ran my wife and I nearly $50 with tip; a bit expensive for a quick pizza evening, especially since the whole restaurant is self-serve. Your dishes go in back where you can also find napkins and silverware as well as to-go boxes. Delivery is currently "limited" - based on the capacity at the time of the order. We ordered a large Lotsa Meatsa and wondered if they forgot to put the meat on. I can't even tell you how the meat tasted since I never got a decent chunk of it. They also suggest that they put loads of cheese on it, not true. It left 3 people feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. Just ordered carry out: mozzarella sticks, a dozen buffalo wings, a Mediterranean pizza and a classic pizza. Order was done on time, smelled AWESOME and looked great. For the price, the mozz sticks could have been bigger and more "gooey", but hey- it's 25 degrees out and it was a 6 min drive home, so that might account for why weren't as melty as I like. Wings are BIG-- awesome!!! Could be tossed in a little more sauce after cooking, but really good nonetheless. The Mediterranean pizza was great- not sure what Feta they use, but YUM! Hubby loves the sausage (classic) pizza, so I'm sure the kids will too (assuming we share with them when they come home). I hope they keep this standard of quality! Went here for the first time and we were very impressed. It has a small, classic pizza place feel to it and is complete with an ice cream counter full of many cedar crest ice creams. The mozzarella sticks were the best I've had. Mozzarella cheese rolled in a wonton for great crispy outside and soft hot cheese inside. We just had a pepperoni pizza and it was cheesy and tasted great. The crust was a good texture of firm on bottom and still soft and chewy under the cheese and sauce. Also, the service from the staff was very good. They were polite and helpful with anything needed. We will definitely be back. read more

I really want to like this place since so close to my house and very charming little pizza joint .... but the pizza is very overpriced; tastes like cardboard with sauce; and service staff seem confused all of the time. The dine-in pizza is perfectly fine. Their delivery service, however, is the absolute worst. We live a mile away and they are completely incapable of delivering a hot pizza within an hour (or an hour and a half in 2 cases). I understand the growing pains inherent in opening a new location, but absolutely nothing has improved in the time since they opened. Tonight we gave them one last shot- we waited an hour and a half for them to deliver us the wrong order. My husband and I have ordered takeout from here a few times. The pizza is great and they have a lot of variety. We also ordered the wings once, but they were awful, probably the worst I've ever had. Their menu claims their wings are big, but we got maybe two large ones and the rest were small. There's also barely any sauce on them. Their prices are also too high for the size of their food. I really enjoy Downtown Pizza. Generous portions and very delicious. They're farm to table, so everything is always fresh, and for that, I am willing to pay a little bit more. I've never had a bad experience with their food or their service. My only complaint is I'm not a huge fan of their beer selection, and I wish they carried a bigger variety of styles of beer. They carry about 40 beers total, but I feel like a lot of them are the same style of beer. Overall, definitely would recommend to a friend! read more

Very confusing place! Didn't know you had to get your own plates, utensils, napkins, etc. No direction whatsoever! As for the Food - Pizza was very bland not much on it. We ordered the average cheese, sausage & mushroom. It tasted like cardboard. The Wings were absolutely horrible! I ordered the zesty garlic and ended up with bland tasting mushy wings. Called thiensville location, they told me they were open until 10pm. Walked in at 9:15 waited at least 5 minutes before someone walked out from the back. He instructed us to sit anywhere. Waited at the table until 9:30. Finally a young waitress came out and told us she couldn't serve us since it was 930. We told her we were waitung since 915 and were told to have a seat. She still refused to take our order and walked away. She rudely told us take out only! We were the only customers in the place. May want to rethink going here. Definitely not after 9. read more

Sunday 9/17/17 - about 5pm: Pizza was OK but expensive for what we got. Toppings were sparse. Thought they forgot to put the mushrooms on until we found a few tiny pieces. Agree with another review, if you're counting calories the topping portions are like Weight Watchers. I will try it again but will let them know I expect to be able to see and taste all toppings I am paying for. I have had the pizza from the Grafton location and it was very good so hoping it was a learning curve for a new person. Friends of ours had similar experience a few days earlier once they got the right pizza. Originally gave them the wrong pizza and they had to come back for the right one. We need a new pizza option in Mequon, and we were excited to try Downtown Pizza tonight. Unfortunately, this place didn't hit on any marks. Pizza was OK...very acidic sauce and doughy crust. It would be good late night college pizza, but not for a family night. Mozzarella sticks were good, but they use the same acidly sauce as a dip. When I called in my order, I asked the girl on the phone what her favorite pizza is. She said that she doesn't eat there a lot so she can't recommend anything, but she thinks some people like the western pizza. Enough said. read more

Have been to this restaurant on four separate occasions. Each time our family and friends have gone here, we hoped that they would improve. We have found hair, bits of what I believed to be paper, and to top it all off, our silverware, glasses, and plates were filthy. For how expensive every item is on the menu, we expected much more, and much more quality.
