First things first Bucks won! Second things second... this pizza was amazing. We got in line with eight people in front of us and had our pizza within minutes. We occasionally pop up to Milwaukee from Chicago for a quick getaway in a fun town with nice people and as we stumble back to our hotel after a day of drinks and food we always get a pie from Brick 3. We moved to Wisconsin 6 years ago and it's been really hard to find good pizza like we always had back in the Philly area. Midwest pizza is generally mediocre at best. There are only a couple places in Milwaukee that offer authentic NY style pizza, and this is by far the best we've had so far. It's also great to have slices available to try different pizza varieties, as it should be! I wish it was a little closer to my home, but it's worth the drive to go get some really good Pizza. And this spot is right on MLK drive where it's easy to access after you've hit up every bar and saloon on the street and fixing for your drunk munchies. I give them credit for being able to handle large crowds by having a various selection of slices to choose from. Reheated slices aren't the best in terms of taste usually which is what this place does. Went with the plain cheese and sausage four cheese; both had the taste and texture that you could tell was reheated. Nevertheless it's hard to go wrong with reheated pizza when you've had one too many beers. They got the location and operations to handle volume not to mention the selection on a busy night such as Friday or after an event at the forum. So they'll always be serving up slices for you. I was in town staying at the Hyatt Place near the Buck's arena. I had a Pizza craving. I always look for some NY style Pizza. I was took a chance on Brick's and wasn't disappointed. It was very busy with college students getting Pizza's to go. I had a classic cheese pizza because that's the true test of any Pizza. The crust had a nice chewyness to it, the sauce was fresh and light and the cheese had a nice amount of saltiness to it. They were generous with the cheese and I actually would have preferred just a little less, but that's just me. I would get it again. read more

Good afternoon! Just a quick note to let your team know that I stopped in for dinner the other night. Thursday the 19th, to be exact. While I'd been there several times, my friend, Andrew, hadn't. Being that I'm from Chicago, I tend to be somewhat skeptical about my pizza choices. It's been my experience since moving here that when they hear Chicago and pizza in the same sentence, they immediately assume deep-dish pizza. Not for me. Deep-dish is too doughy. It's good, but I much prefer thin crust. In Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, there is a pizza place that is excellent! It's called, Nueva Italy. Their butter crust is out of this world! That place is one of probably 4-6 places I tended to go to for pizza. I've now lived in Milwaukee for just over two years and I'm still adjusting. I still find it frustrating that I have yet to find a decent Chinese restaurant. For a long time it was pizza as well. Not anymore. The pizza at Brick 3 is fantastic! I'd been suggesting to my friend that he try it and, well, there we were. He not only thought that the pizza was great, he also thought the service from the two guys behind the counter were equally as great! To me, since I've been in the hospitality industry for some time now, is of equal importance. Both Rufus and Shane were super friendly, and displayed a loyal and genuine customer satisfaction attitude. While I will always go back, It made me happy to hear that at the end of our meal, my friend Andrew will also go back. Excellent! The only regret I have is that I forgot to purchase a garlic knot as we were leaving since I'd been raving about those as well. But there will be another time, for sure. So, thank you to Brick 3, Shane and Rufus, and every BOH member for making my friend's experience a memorable one. If I'm on Old World Third and craving late-night food, Brick 3 is the place to go. A lot of the nearby bars have food and the kitchens are open pretty late, but sometimes that late-night pizza experience is worth it in itself. Some people go to Ian's, which is nearby, but I like Brick 3 a little better. These are slices. They're essentially served on paper plates. The Caprese and lasagna pizzas might be my favorite. I usually get 3 slices so I can take one home for in the morning. 2 large slices is plenty of food for one meal. They're not open super late during the week, as I was disappointed to learn one evening. But on the weekends when they are open into the wee hours there seem to be a lot of people. It's been a long time since I've been here and it deserves an update. It really is New York style counter pizza in the mke. I went with just a cheese slice and a garlic knot and I think my total was $3.5 or $3.75. You really can't go wrong. I had a huge foldable slice and while I went with basic cheese they had other fun flavors like bbq chicken, mac and cheese and caprese. It's got a great location just south of the entrance to the fiserv plaza off north old world third. I'll have to remember this place once basketball season starts. Staff is always really nice. Yes, B3 is the place you go for pizza after you've been drinking. GET OVER IT! They're equipped for (and embrace) volume. As for the pizza, it's solid. Chewy crust and a nice base selection of "greatest hit" pizzas. Service is fast, communicates well, and can even crank out a whole pie if you need it (in under 20 minutes). Cashier is friendly and will quickly steer you in the right direction. What a great way to replace all those calories you burned off at Red, White, and Blue! read more

Not sure what the "3" is about in the name, but five of us, desperately hungry and led astray by a 9/22 PBS Wisconsin Foodie program that erroneously claimed there was Texas brisket (brisket is beef!) to be had among the booths at the Saturday Deer District Market, we stumbled upon Brick 3 Pizza on Old World Third Street. Sportsbar decoration in the tiny place, it's claim is to resemble New York/Jersey "slice" joints. Maybe 8 kinds of pizza are baked, then stored under glass. Take your pick of very large slices (one is plenty for a person), they will be quickly heated at very high heat. We had two Supremes, two Capreses and a "whatchamacallit". Oh, yeh, there are sandwiches and salads as well. But the pizza is just very good. You can also do take out and order on-line. However, the flavors, the crispy nature of the crust and the ingredients, all compiled by the lady in the back room, are among the best in Milwaukee. Who knew? read more

Pretty good for by-the-slice pizza. Brick 3 knows what's up - they're right on Old World 3rd, in the middle of a bunch of bars. Sometimes you have drinks and you need a thing to eat - and who doesn't like pizza? There were about a dozen choices on our stop - from plain cheese to more exotic options like buffalo chicken and mac'n'cheese. Slices are $4.50 and are "good sized". Toppings were pretty skimpy honestly but I did like the NY style crust. The dudes working were nice and efficient. They do sell beer and White Claw of you want to keep the party going. Came here after a night out. Typically we stop by Ian's but I had never had Brick 3 before so figured we would stop by. It was similarly priced to Ian's and other local slice places. They had a wide variety of pies - we opted for the bbq chicken and the spinach and feta. Both were decent, but the spinach one was better than expected. We also had a garlic knot and it took all the willpower in the world not to get 3/$3. The garlic knot was the best thing we had from here. Overall a solid stop for old world third nights out.
