Love going here in the summer time so I can take advantage of the outdoor terrace. The inside is a little stuffy and outdated decor. Food is really great. I suggest you share 2 items off the menu since portions are pretty generous, that's what I did with my sister. We both loved the dishes, coffee isn't great (but I'm used to espressos) read more

A gem! Ordered carry out online and it was ready on time, well packaged and warm when opened after a short walk under the bridge to the park for river side eating. Special requests for condiments were fulfilled. Love the option of fresh fruit as a side. Ordered and shared the Asparagus, Spinach, Portabella Mushroom And Swiss Cheese Omelet and Wild Berry Pancakes since couldn't decide between sweet or savory; just got both! read more

The food was good! I would recommend and would go again. When we arrived it was not very busy but got busier once our food was served. Our server brought the bill in the middle of our meal, without asking if we needed anything else or refilling our coffee (we had to ask another person for more coffee). read more

Great reviews brought us in. The reviews are correct! Very small, looks like granny's wallpaper with a warm welcome, promise of quick service and hot food! My chorizo hash was good. Not the best ever, but good. Pumpernickel toast was good. Water was wet, table was tiny, company provided by me was great and manager was present. Well, everyone was available- hard to hide in a place that small. The menu looked good, offering some concocted items not found at your local diner. I would go back. Many places to see before then, but I will return. read more

Good food, quaint atmosphere, prompt service and friendly wait staff. Within walking distance of downtown Rochester. The dining room is small but intimate. Very clean and inviting. Great place to go for a small group. Parking is limited close to the restaurant entrance but there's plenty of parking in back. I had eggs Florentine with hollandaise sauce which was very good. I would highly recommend trying this place for yourself. I know I'll be back! read more

Small and very nice place. Kids are very welcome and kids typically are happy enjoying the food. The food is good, coffee kind of light but acceptable. Blueberry pancakes and awesome they called Michigan pancakes. Canadian beacon is also good same as beacon. No to many greens until you ask and custom your plate. Very good value of your money. The waiting list is not as fancy as other but still very effective. read more

I'm disappointed, this is downtown Rochester and they have a patio and they turn us down with our puppy, they told us that we can't sit because of our dog. We live in downtown and our dogs are part of our family they should be allowed to be with us. Thanks to Paul's next door who were so great to us and our pup. read more

Best breakfast in town....hands down....!!!! We have been going here for 12 years and for any of my special breakfasts (like Mother's Day, my bday, and nice summer day), I always choose to go here. Their Crème Brûlée French toast or their Southwestern Scramble (yummy jalapeño corn bread) are my go to. read more

Great breakfast spot, with a beautiful patio in downtown Rochester! Ingredients are fresh, food is delicious, and the wait staff is too notch. We found plenty of healthy and nutritious options on the menu, along with some incredible indulgences. Pancakes, bacon, omelets, Benedictines, and hashes have all been great. You can tell the food is made from scratch, with higher quality ingredients, resulting in delicious food you feel good about eating. The only real area for improvement for this breakfast establishment would be fresh or homemade bread options to round out the meals. Originally a friend and I were going to Rochester Brunch House today, but because downtown had a car show going on, and there was a 40 minute wait, we came to Downtown Cafe instead. My friend lives in Rochester and said it was good, and it ended up being tasty. I had the Creme Brulee French toast, which ended up being more "eggy" than I thought but still good, and it came with (warm!) fruit compote. You also get a fruit or meat side, so I chose Canadian bacon, which ended up being pretty good. My friend got Michigan pancakes which were stuffed with cherries, apples, and pecans, and she liked her meal as well. Prices are reasonable too, my meal was about $9.50 I think. I'd come back here when in Rochester. read more

My husband and I have been here 2 times. Really welcoming Environment, wonderful staff, especially Claire our waitress. The food is delicious and when we Complimented Claire, she gave all the credit to the owner/chef. She said it starts with him and trickles down. Snug, small place--warm & inviting prompt service. Fills up tables quickly. Nice place for conversation...a breakfast/lunch date. Menu has creative choices beyond the basics. Saw take-outs, too. We were looking for a good breakfast spot in Rochester on a Sunday morning and we came across this place. It is quite small - I think I counted 11 tables inside - but it had a quaint vibe. The people working there seemed to know many of their customers by name, which was kind of cool. The menu has a typical range of breakfast fare and my wife an I both decided to have omelette. They were nothing out of the ordinary but we thoroughly enjoyed them. I would definitely go back! read more

We got the chorizo hash and the Southwest scramble. Both solid and deliciously satisfying. Not oily which was nice considering they both have chorizo. The jalapeno cheese cornbread in my Southwest scramble was different in a good way. Took home what was left of the cornbread. The dish is not spicy at all. I actually poured alot of hot sauce on my dish. My husband got a side of buttermilk pancakes and it was so fluffy!!!! Very good. Service was excellent- very attentive but not too in your face. Our breakfast came out pretty quickly. The place is small but cozy. They have alot of regulars They knew alot of people by their names which I thought was pretty cool. We use to live downtown and so it was our first time back in two years. We were so happy there wasn't a wait and we got right in to sit down. They are currently updating some interior designs. I like get this place because it's the definition of a hole in the wall, great food and small town diner all in one. I had an eggs Benedict with avocado on top, I will be back to try the avocado smash! I had to give 4 stars because I never received my side of fruit. read more

This is my absolute favorite breakfast spot in Oakland County. The service is impeccable, prompt and friendly. The most impressive part about this restaurant is the fresh, creative, homemade plates. Their corned beef hash is the best Ive ever had. So delicious. There is something for everyone at the Downtown Cafe. Id recommend it to anyone. The place is rather small so its best to go a little earlier that youd typically head out for brunch. Enjoy!! read more

I've been a frequent of this place for the last 15 to 20 years and I have never had a bad experience here. My favorite is the corn beef Reuben. You will not know here or find a unique special. quiet when it's not full, but so comfortable what it is. There definitely would be some wait time if you're going for breakfast or brunch on the weekends. read more

Fabulous breakfast! Get here early because the restaurant is on the smaller side. There was no wait at 8 am on a Saturday, but by 930, all tables were full. The coffee is strong and the staff does a great job of keeping your cup filled. The menu is a good mix of sweet and savory. For a smaller restaurant, the options are plenty. My friend ordered the Creme Brulee french toast and I ordered the Eggs Florentine. After trying bites of both, I can tell you that the kitchen staff takes pride in what they serve. The flavors were perfect. The seasonings were perfect. The presentation was perfect. The cost was possibly $2-3 more than other breakfast spots around, but the extra money is worth it. This will be a go-to breakfast/brunch spot for sure. read more

Came to this cute cafe due to the great reviews I've read on yelp and decided to try it out myself. Our service was great! We were sat right away and drinks order right away as well. Our waiter was very kind and had a good positive energy to him. My SO and I ordered creme brûlée French toast, eggs Florentine, side of bacon, and house fries. The wait wasn't bad at all and came at a good time, not too slow but not too fast. Eggs Florentine was very good and I would definitely recommend getting if you like eggs Benedict. There bacon was good but nothing out of the ordinary, just typical bacon. THERE HOUSE FRIES. They are actually chip form which I quite enjoyed because it made them unique to the cafe and were delicious. They have some sort of seasoning on it that has a flavor with a kick but just the right amount. There creme brûlée French toast.... I was highly disappointed with this just because when it got served it did not look appetizing at all. It was soggy and the berries didn't seem fresh at all. I had really high hopes for it because I kept seeing it all over yelp but I would honestly pass on it and try something else. Besides the French toast I definitely would come back just because everything else was great and I definitely want to try there lunch menu since the house fries were so good. If you're in the area and want to go to a nice little cozy cafe, this is just the spot! read more

This was the low point of the meal. While it looked nice and had a great strong coffee flavor, it had zero sweetness whatsoever and did not improve with cream and sugar added. I would put it at the bottom half of my drink around the world espresso martini quest. But, the other drinks quite made up for it. The pomegranate mimosa and plain mimosas were wonderful. I would order both of those again. Just the regular mimosa alone was nice and seemed like a must order item. I would recommend those. One child got a smoothie which was nice and the other a beautiful tiramisu latte that was beautiful and came with a lady finger and mascarpone cream on top. My husband just got the coffee which was standard and nothing special. I love a sweet and a savory for brunch, so I ordered the fruity pebble pancakes. The batter was so lovely and sweet. It came with a nice salad, which a good dressing, but I also used the siracha maple sauce to dress it up a bit more, and it was very tasty. The biscuit also had gravy and cheese. Both of those items had nice portions and it took two people and three meals to finish it all, which is a good deal, I like nice portions. Two people got the tiramisu pancakes and one got the Monte Cristo. Everything was fabulous. I would love to come back. I think I would get the pancakes again, so well made and delicious. I would also like to try their wrap sandwiches. They looked amazing.

Park 600 itself is a lovely spot, while it doesn't match the level of the hotel, still lovely. The menu caters to breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can eat at any time throughout the day and they have a pretty decent cocktail program that adapts to the season/trends that keep the menu fresh. They of course can make many of your favorite drinks and they have an ok wine selection also. The food has always been very good here. I have never had a bad experience and have always left very content. The meals are rich, full of flavor and very well done. I think the price points on the menu are a little over the top, but for a hotel restaurant, probably on par.

You can easily walk in, not wait awhile, and get a seat quickly. The restaurant interior was modern industrial with Scandinavian/minimalist influences(?), which I loved because it felt a cozy and welcoming. Any who, back to the service and food. I really enjoyed my entrée, I choose Corned Beef Hash & Eggs and the asiago bread, the dish was a bit heavy (not in a bad way), and I ended up requesting a diet coke but overall, the dish was very good, and the corned beef is not the type from a coney island restaurant, it was shredded and flavorful. The service was outstanding, and our waitress was beyond pleasant and attentive. Would I recommend this place to others? Yes. Would I come back again? Yes, there were other items on the menu I'd like to enjoy.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. We picked a table outside, and it felt like our food and drinks came out as soon as we sat down. We ordered the Firecracker Chicken Wrap, Reuben Sandwich, and the Fruit Blast Juice (raw juice which has pineapple, orange, milk, and honey). The wrap and sandwich were absolutely amazing. The juice was very refreshing and flavorful, and they have so many to choose from. Highly recommend for a quick, delicious bite with excellent service!
