Donuts 5 stars. Every single one was so good and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Very unique flavors and very well balanced. The potato in it definitely is different and also very delicious. Bring your own coffee though... 1/5 stars , Coffee situation could use some work. No lattes and no espresso. It's all drip coffee made to order. Takes forever. I ordered a cold brew and I didn't like the taste, but that could be because I don't usually drink it. The menu features flavors that would be amazing in latte form, but not drip coffee mixed with syrup and powder. My company ordered some coffee drinks that took a long time. We finished our donuts and one person never got their drink. Disappointing.

Best Donuts in Chicago! I've already been to this place twice in the last two months. They offer an amazing selection of seasonal and classic donuts--standouts include the miso, Japanese pancake, Vietnamese coffee, and brown butter chai. My personal favorite is the miso donut, served fresh and hot--it's easily the best donut I've had. The staff were warm, helpful, and patient, especially as we showed up with a group of 15 friends from our run club. The shop is on Wilson Avenue, right next to Uptown Church. Just a heads-up: there's no exterior signage, which makes it a bit tricky to find.

Found another favorite place for donuts and they are all potato-based! They taste like donuts too! The texture is amazing. Soft and chewy and melts in your mouth. I tried my first donut from here at the Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park. My friend and I wanted to visit the actual place in Uptown and it was worth the trip. We tried the miso honey butter, chocolate sea salt, and the seasonal baked apple cider. My favorite was the miso honey butter. The donuts range from $4-5 each which is not cheap but it's so worth it. All of their donuts are not filled. Customer service is also great! They are really nice. The space is small with limited seating, but has great natural lighting!

A neighborhood donut shop that also sells coffee and breakfast items. Everything is made with potatoes which is interesting. I tried the Whipped Vietnamese Coffee and Sweet Potato Maple. The Whipped Vietnamese Coffee was light and fluffy, with a bit of caramelization crunch. Its base was flavored with chocolate that comes through and it has a light coffee aftertaste. The Sweet Potato Maple was extremely soft and had a nice mouth feel. The sweet potato definitely comes through and the maple glaze was slightly crisp and not overly sweet. Definitely my favorite. The store has several tables and the staff was very welcoming. They also went around wiping down tables while I was there which was good to see. It is definitely pricey but they are specialty donuts made fresh.

Wow, love at first bite. From the softness of the doughnut to the full flavor light enough to coat your tongue with flare. I felt like I was eating a mochi donut and well yeasty donut baby-- I had to take my time and enjoy every bite. Absolutely a must try for folks visiting Chicago!

I've been wanting to come here ever since I heard such good reviews from my friends, and it is definitely worth the trek up here. The donuts are baked in smaller batches and come out soft and hot and ready to eat. Insane flavors, every one was good. The OG vanilla was great but the miso honey butter stole the show

Bought a chocolate Downstate Donut at the Logan Square farmers market and it was the most fabulous delicious donut Capone has ever eaten. Ordered six more and loving these donuts! Many flavors the buttermilk was my favorite out of the half dozen.

Who knew potato doughnuts were a thing because I sure as hell didn't. Flavors are a tad muted but they also don't taste fake or anything like your run of the mill or typical doughnut. Not overly sweet, nor are they cheap. It's about $5 per doughnut but they have a rewards system as an incentive. There were a couple of sandwich options that sounded intriguing but the equipment has been broken so be aware & there's an option for turkey bacon for the healthier option.

These might be the best donuts I've ever had in my life, and I am absolutely not being hyperbolic or exaggerating. I can't speak to the service or ambiance since these were dropped off by a friend, but I am absolutely blown away. Will be back to make sure this isn't some sort of fever-dream.

Some of the best donuts I've had. The flavors are unique and all delicious, the staff is really nice, and there is quite a bit of seating.

Bought a couple donuts at the Evanston farmers market last weekend. Interesting and unique flavors like pistachio, Vietnamese coffee, and apple cider. Texture is light without being crumbly. Cons: the glaze doesn't hold up for the day - it starts to melt by the end of the day (no, I didn't leave the donuts in a hot place). And I would have appreciated some kind of heads up that paying by credit card would result in a 15% service fee! 15 percent! That's more than the tax. 2 donuts ended up costing almost $10. So were they tasty? Yes, but certainly not $10 worth of tastiness.

Cute shop with so many unique flavors and friendly staff. We got the lemon blueberry and pistachio donuts. They were so yummy with the perfect level of sweetness. The texture is a hybrid of a regular donut and a cake donut and they're very soft and moist. Will be back to try more!

Both were delish! The glazed donut was fluffy, sweet and my fave. My husband loved his old fashioned donut! He said it was crunchy yet moist. We also both got the Hot N' Spicy chicken sandwich which was so good!! Flavorful and spicy, with toppings that helped add some freshness to it. Pair it with a soft brioche bun, and this sandwich was heavenly! Def check this spot out for breakfast! One of the best places we tried while in Chicago!

Pulled up just before 6:30 AM on a weekday and there were just a few folks ahead of us in line, but service is quick. Cake donuts were actually pretty solid here; the Blueberry Cake Donut was the best item, super soft and moist with a good amount of berries throughout. The Pistachio Cake Donut for some reason was texturally firmer and drier than the other. Unfortunately, the fried donuts were all misses. The dough was just really dense and none of the toppings really hit. The Glazed Donut just made me sad that the dough was bad and the bacon on the Maple Bacon Donut wasn't crispy, so you got a cold, chewy, greasy bite that wasn't super pleasant. The chopped dough pieces in the Apple Fritter were also oddly firm instead of soft. For a place with rave reviews, I was pretty bummed by the donuts, but maybe the fried chicken sandwich is where it's at.

However, it wasn't the cleanest but we were still willing to give it a try. When we arrived, the hostess/waitress asked if we had a reservation and I told her no but there were literally only 2 tables being occupied at the time, so she had us wait until she cleared another table. The menu gave a hibachi vibe, they had teriyaki bowls, unwich sushi rolls, soup, and specialty drinks but no fountain or canned drinks. I wanted the salmon and everyone else was getting chicken but that didn't happen because they were out of salmon. Really wasn't feeling the other options, so we canceled our order and left. I would definitely give the place another try but maybe earlier in the day and a different location.

It's pretty small inside, with maybe no more than 10 tables. When I came there was a large party taking up majority of the dining room, leaving about 4 tables left. We didn't have reservations, but I believe they take them. Luckily we were seated right away without any issues. They are known for their Asian cuisine. Think Taiwanese fried chicken sandwiches, Japanese mochi donuts, ube, vietnamese coffee, etc. What I tried: - Mochi donuts (1 strawberry, 1 chocolate) ; so fresh! 10/10 - Strawberry/peach lemonade boba; Extremely sweet, but good! Staff was super kind from start to finish. The only downside (which is big) - it is pretty dirty around the restaurant. With all the white, you can unfortunately spot things quicker. A deep clean would do the trick!
