Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

They were so sweet driving down 45 minutes from Oceanside to fix it up enough to get us through the storm. We were quoted for a proper patch and a whole roof. The quote came back better than any other quotes and were able to do an entire roof. Staff showed up on time every day, and the project was completed on time. Staff were very professional and courteous. They even helped my neighbor bring in her trash bins just because she was elderly, which I thought was so very sweet. There was a little damage on a fascia board and before we spoke about it, they already were working on replacing it and out getting paint to match the house. We had multiple neighbors ask about them and commented on how fast the crew worked, how respectful they all were and how great the roof looked. I couldn't recommend these guys enough!

Haven't give SCE a penny since the 3rd month after our system went online (over 2 years now!). The reason I'm writing this review now is that we had a major roof leak back in late November and part of our upstairs ceiling collapsed in. What a nightmare!! We weren't sure where the leak was or if the solar was the cause. We contacted a roofer to address the roof repairs needed and we also called New Day to let them know what was going on and asked that they be involved in determining the source of the leak. They were so responsive and quickly came over to evaluate the situation. After their inspection they didn't feel the leak was due to the solar panels but was rather a roof problem in one of the valleys near the solar panels. They didn't just walk away at that point. They came the day the roofer began the repairs and worked with them to fully evaluate the problems. They removed the solar panels that needed to be removed so the repairs could happen and put them back after. They were correct and the solar was not involved in the problem. Corey the owner went out of his way to make sure he had a crew on-site when the roofer needed them there so that we could get our repairs done as quickly as possible. Corey was up on the roof multiple time to make sure everything was done correctly and we were happy and secure that the problems were resolved. Many other companies would have just said "not our problem" and walked away but that's not how they do business. I would so highly recommend them to everyone for their professionalism, knowledge and follow-up even 2 years after the install!!

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Jeff was on top of his game with everything, so much that I ended up working with him to get my new solar installed as well. I decided to cancel Tesla and go directly with Jeff. This was probably the SMARTEST move I've done, as he was able to get EVERYTHING done is such a timely manner, from install to getting it up and running with SDGE. It was a huge relieve because the whole process with Tesla was just way too time consuming and slow. My only regret is that I didn't meet Jeff sooner as the process with Tesla dragged out so long, that I wasted months for no reasons. The quality of work was amazing. Its the little details that counts. For example, painting the conduit to match my roof and walls. My previous Solar company did NOT do that. The equipment was installed last year around April 2025 and he told us the fire department or City of Vista, I can't remember which, said the panels needed to moved about 3 inches from where there are currently installed in order to get the final. He was to have come back just this past April 2026 and when I never heard from him I started reaching out on a weekly basis. We've been ghosted. Another year passed and I now find out from City of Vista there should be no equipment installed because the plans hadn't been approved. We are now working with the City of Vista to determine what needs to be done to move this project forward. Oh, did I forget to say he has been paid $40,244.00 to date.
