I'm not sure why this place averages 2 1/2 Stars. Before I retired last August, I used to stop here at least twice a month to get a BLT. It's one of my favorite sandwiches and Douglas makes it pretty good. I haven't been there in a while and had a craving for the sandwich. In the past, I would get it to-go but this time I ate it in the restaurant. It was delicious. I always order it with two extra strips of bacon. The tomato and lettuce were fresh and crisp, and the bread was lightly toasted, and mayo was applied. If you like greasy-spoon type diners, this is your place. Nice woman at the register told me she would give me the biggest and juiciest wings. I love fried chicken and it was crispy, juicy and delicious! I went to the restroom and it was SUPER CLEAN, just like the restaurant and also the kitchen, which is very visible!! I think people hate on this place for whatever reason.... I see this business is unclaimed and after visiting I understand why. The prices on the menu are all incorrect. I ordered a $8.99 combo and was charged $12.93. When I questioned why , I was told it was old pricing and should have been $9.99 which still didn't account for the almost $3 extra in charge. I was then told it was tax. Long story short they have no idea what or why they have items priced for. Was only told if I didn't want it they would cancel my order and that they understood why I wouldn't want to pay an extra $4 over advertised price. No effort in making the customer satisfied and I highly doubt they will make any effort in changing the price of the menu. With the pervious owners I was able to pay with my Amex card. Now the new owners don't take it. But that's not the big issue here because I have other credit cards.
