They had him at Coal Miner's Daughter sandwich. It was a slice of all beef bologna at least 3/4" thick, fried to perfection. It was served on grilled Texas toast with lettuce, tomato, onion and honey mustard dressing. He ordered the pasta salad as a side, and the veggies were fresh and the dressing was perfect. His meal was $6. Six dollars!! I ordered a Clear Creek club sandwich, and I kid you not, I could have fed a family of 3-4 people on the meat on the sandwich alone. There were copious amount of thickly sliced ham, Turkey and bacon--seriously it had to have been over a pound of meat. Grilled Texas toast, lettuce, tomato and cheese made this stack at least 6" high. My side was fresh honey mustard potato salad--very good. There was so much food, I didn't eat even half of my sandwich. We each got a can of Diet Coke, and with tax, this came in at under $20. We have enough leftovers for another meal! And it was clean and unique to boot. There is outdoor seating but we didn't chance it as it was drizzling when we got there. Anyway, we were more than impressed! No need to go to any other sandwich shop in the area. It was well worth it for us to make the drive from KY! Don't miss this true gem of a restaurant!!

**April 2025: Wednesday Late Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were driving from Charleston, West Virginia to Pigeon Forge, Tenneesee and needed to rest and eat before heading to our destination. We're both from southern California so we have high expectations for Mexican food. When we entered we were plesantly surprised by the warm and colorful atmosphere. The chairs and tables had beautiful carvings and it just put a smile across my face. My friend and I each ordered a dish and honestly we probably could have shared one entree since the portion was enormous. Flavors tasted authentic and it was very filling. We had a ton of leftovers. Overall, a solid spot to enjoy some ethnic noms.

Has to be from friends and family of the business, or people around there have y e er had good bbq to compare it to. No prices beside the menu items, but we figure...roadside bbq, can't be that expensive. Two pork sandwich meals and an extra side of Mac and cheese was $31! The bbq didn't have any smoke flavor at all. Could've been cooked in a crockpot. Baked beans were mushy, and the Mac n cheese was swimming in flavorless cheese sauce. The sandwich and sides at best, maybe $8, nothing what they charged. Also, no public bathrooms, which seemed very odd. Save your $. Go to the $ store up the road and get some jerky or Vienna sausages.

We asked for a recommendation and ordered a combination Italian/Egyptian dish that was supposed to be an Egyptian recipe inside of a Stromboli. The crust was extremely good, and I could see the potential of the meat, onion, veggies inside to be good, but what we got was too salty. We got a dessert to go which turned out really good as well. The baklava we got had hints of basil in it which I would never have thought of being a good combo but it was excellent. The main downside was the pricing. We got two waters, split a small Greek salad, split a Stromboli, and got one dessert. Total was $48. The owner gave us a 10% discount since it was our first time, but $44 still seems high. We will be going back though for Greek salad and the Egyptian bread which we didn't get but looked amazing

There really are NOT a lot of options for a sit down breakfast in the Wise area. That's a bummer…read more So, we showed up here to relax and have breakfast one weekend rather than eat in our cars. I was saying goodbye to family and we decided to eat here before driving off in all directions. As a chain breakfast spot goes, the food was in the lower part of the OK zone. It wasn't nearly as good as the higher end breakfast spots and kind of felt behind the standard. Kind of the "value" breakfast. It was warm, eggs were great, it met the needs. Staff was great. Waitress was very nice, polite and attentive. The cook was working his butt off and really hustled in the kitchen doing an A+ job. The management should be proud of the people here. With OK food and great staff, the score dropped because of the seating. We had six adults put at a table that really was designed terribly. In likely another cost saving measure by their franchise operations, they have this ledge along all the windows. It hangs out about 6". If you are along the window and eat with that arm, forget it. It was a crazy inconvenience. I almost went to 2 because of the poor design. If you are a cost accountant, maybe you would rate it higher on the ability to cram people into a space designed to cost the least to build.
