Roma's was recommended by a local and it was a huge hit! Portions were fulfilling along with the side salad and breadsticks! The ranch was the best I've had, definitely homemade!! And the tiramisu was perfect to go. Take a marker so you can sign the wall; my friends and I enjoyed reading all the shenanigans!! read more

Food was okay, the entre' anyway. Didn't receive the salad or breadsticks that were supposed to be with the order. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed the walls had graffiti on them ( people had left their initials and such over the years) . The table we were sitting at was no different, had drawings from a child, and people's initials. We decided to put ours on the wall, we were immeasurable derided for it by the wait staff. We apologized and left it at that. The wait staff was horrible to us, never saw the waitress during our meal and had to call on one to get our ticket, never checked on us at all. Then we were treated badly at the register, when i asked to have the salad and breadsticks removed from the bill. We told them we wouldn't be returning, as the service was horrible! Would not recommend to anyone. read more

If you ever find your way to this city, restaurant options are very limited, and this is one of them. Unfortunately, I'm so unimpressed with this place to a point where this review is going to be very short, and just talk about the food items and their walls: Cheese bread: bland Side salad and bread: fresh and decent Fettuccine Alfredo: bland and inconsistent sauce Deep dish pizza: very good Soda: probably not free refills since the seem to serve poured bottled sodas And, for some reason, there is writing on their walls. Supposedly, per our server, there is writing on the wall since one day, someone wrote on their wall, then didn't clean it up so they let others write on the walls as well. I grew up in Wise County, and I've been eating at Roma's with my family since before I can remember. I live in Washington, D.C. now, but Roma's is still my favorite restaurant. I've never been disappointed in a meal here. Ever. It's always warm, hot, and fresh ... and served with a smile. The owner and staff are among most beautiful, humble, and hardworking people I know, and it goes without saying that they really contribute to the fabric of our little community. I'm always so happy to see them. Quick comment: there seems to be some confusion/frustration in some of the other reviews here about the graffiti. It's important to know that Roma's has tried -- repeatedly -- to renovate the upstairs space and get rid of the ... writing on the wall. They've spent time, money, and energy trying to make the place look tidy and neat. Time and again, the writing has returned. Only after years of effort have they embraced the graffiti ... and it's not even a mild annoyance to the locals. Love this place. 10/10 would recommend/force my out-of-town friends to visit. read more

Decor is a bit run down, but they have embraced it by allowing folks to color and write all over the walls. We had the thick crust pizza and it was actually very good. It's kind of like a French bread pizza with the crispiness but we enjoyed it. read more

This place is awesome! Our family has been eating here for over 20 years and the food is consistently great now like it was 20 years ago. Fresh salads & dressings, great pizza, scrumptious breadsticks and bread and excellent manicotti, lasagna and spaghetti. We always love the food and the service is generally very good. My favorite is the manicotti. Yum! We drive from Appalachia to eat there every time we're in town visiting family. Great job Roma's. Keep up the good work! read more

Very limited options, the food is okay but is not the greatest. I'd say the pasta is over priced, and not that great tasting. The salads are probably my favorite. The pizza is not Northern pizza, but it is okay. For a restaurant in the middle of no where, it's decent. I have been here three or four times but haven't gone back. Me and my family have eaten here about 3 or 4 times now. The first impression is bad decor very old and outdated and many seats are torn and split open. Dark lighting, walls written all over and carpets not the cleanest. The Pizza is really good and tasty. The Pasta is ok, sauce is sometimes bland and runny. Salads and Breadsticks are great. The Staff is always friendly but very slow service even for refills with only a few tables of customers. Our last visit we actually had to go FIND our Waitress to get to-go boxes and our bill.... Also the bathrooms are small and old...would love to see them update this restaurant with a whole new inside and tweek their pasta dishes and wait staff...because their pizza is great! read more

In town for pleasure not many choices so we gave it a shot on a Saturday night. Very busy, short staffed, but servers were hustling. My wife and I both had baked meals and they were really good. Bread was warm and good and salad started the meal. Would recommend and go back if we are ever in the area. read more

We were told the food was good, but service wasn't too bad. So we went anyway. Service was horribly slow. Took a long time to come get our order. I ordered Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. It comes with salad and bread sticks. Their salads were a bowl of lettuce, a small slice of a tomato and two cucumber slices. The breadsticks were simply pizza dough baked with absolutely no seasoning. Then my plate of spaghetti came. It was the smallest plate of spaghetti at a restaurant I've ever had. And the sauce was ICE cold. Yes, warm noodles, but the sauce on top was completely cold. I had to wait for the waitress and then took it to the counter and brought it to the cooks attention. No one, not one person apologized at that point. Then a plate with warm sauce came, still no apology. I said something to our waitress when I paid and she said, well you got a warm one. Yes, but I didn't get an apology. She gave me a discount (10%) and a sorry at that point when I mentioned I would be reviewing them o. Yelp. So there you go. read more

Very iconic place in Wise. Usually good service. The meatballs and stuffed shells are really great. Balcony seating is a fun feature. I hate to say but I fear most of their food is frozen and the desserts are poor to non existent. Still a good place to visit. read more

Me my husband and daughter get there at 8:30 keep in mind the open sign is currently on and the doors are unlocked THEY DONT CLOSE TILL 9 and this is Saturday night mind you...we walk in along with others walking in behind us the waitress tells us they stop serving people at 8:30 because they can't make any money for the business after 8:30! We leave .... they just lost out on money for the business not serving us or the people behind us this is not the way to treat paying customers nor the way to make money for the business we left went 5 minutes down the road and went to Applebee's who served us and we will not be going back to Romas! We have been going to Romas for the past 16 years dedicated customers and then they treat us this way! Wow! read more
