**April 2025: Wednesday Late Afternoon Visit** My friend and I were driving from Charleston, West Virginia to Pigeon Forge, Tenneesee and needed to rest and eat before heading to our destination. We're both from southern California so we have high expectations for Mexican food. When we entered we were plesantly surprised by the warm and colorful atmosphere. The chairs and tables had beautiful carvings and it just put a smile across my face. My friend and I each ordered a dish and honestly we probably could have shared one entree since the portion was enormous. Flavors tasted authentic and it was very filling. We had a ton of leftovers. Friendly and the food is good. If you get a pitcher of margarita, it will most likely be virgin. You will need to order shots of tequila. A local said it's best to order by the glass and not the pitcher. read more

The food is always good and the service is great. The only negative comment id that I always pay a different amount when I order the same thing every time. The receipts are hand written and I cannot read them and the language barrier prevents any conversation to explain why the total charge is always different. read more

Lunch was quick and delicious. Best of all, it was very affordable for the large portions. Great quality at low prices. Papas Fajitas -- French fries w queso and fajita chicken, pepper, onions -- was dynamite. I could eat it everyday! I ordered the Norton Ribeye which was full of gristle and fat chewy as gum, vegetables weren't cooked. They threw those vegetables on the grill and burned them, melted cheese with bacon on half baked potato. It was awful! The chips they brought to our table were stale like they'd been sitting out for a week. Our waitress was very polite and kind, but there prices are astronomical $8.25 for cheese dip that any other Mexican restaurant would charge $3. For Ridiculous. 4 meals 4 drinks and cheese dip $94. Not including tip, our waitress suggested we speak with owner, We did... He didn't care, We politely said fine we'll not be back... His response " Good I dun't care" Well we'll see word of mouth is your best advertisement. A simple discount or even a kind word would've helped made this a better experience but we and our friends were TOTALLY Ripped off and offended by this Rude individual. Oh let's not forget about the facilities which are filthy, windows with plastic covering them, cold because they're trying to heat with space heaters. Used Mi Finca 3 for a lunch I had in Norton Virginia for one of my doctor's offices. The food was good, but I had called the restaurant the night before and told them I had 30 people to feed and I needed the food by 11:30. I even offered to pay that night because I needed to be walking out of the restaurant with the food no later than 11:30. The thing that ticked me off is they didn't even start cooking the food until I got there and we were late to the lunch. read more

I was literally blown away by how darn good this place was. I have been all over the US and had Mexican food and this was honestly THE BEST. I came back 2 times during my stay in VA because it was so good. I had the fajitas both times. The fajita - phenomenal .. the rice - phenomenal. Im from Connecticut and I would never have expected this place to be so good and so so so reasonably priced. I will be looking for Mexican this good until I make it back there !! read more

Food was delicious. I got street tacos, which is something i haven't seen on the menu in other Mexican restaurant locations in Wise County. My daughter tried a chipotle chicken dish. Was greeted and served with hospitality and kindness. read more

The entire experience is out of this world. The menu seemed as though it was never-ending, and budget friendly. Definitely had something on the menu for everyone. There were huge portions of fresh, delicious food. I had recently come in with a large group and we were seated in the back area, the server handled it like a champ. For almost 15 people their cups stayed full and the food was correct and delicious. I got takeout - two dinners. Placed the order. A bit confusing - had to repeat it 3 times and they never took my name, but the order was ready quickly. They could not find the order, of course, because they had no name but they said that is how they do it. The food was fairly good; however, when I checked the receipt, I discovered two things. Their menu states in several spots "add cheese dip for $1 extra" (and that is how I specifically said when I ordered it), but they charged me the appetizer price of $3.75. Also, in our area, a restaurant CAN put an additional levy of up to 6% on top of the 6% sales tax we already pay. I ended up paying 12% tax. I have never been charged a levy before. A friend of mine and I are regulars here. We love it! The food is always great and the staff doesn't blink at special requests. My friend has a couple of things that she can't eat and they never have issues with leaving something off or changing a menu item to suit her needs. We sometimes get caught up talking and end up staying for a while and they never try to run us out even if they get busy. The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is always festive (especially if you're having a birthday). The decor is beautiful. This building used to be a Long John Silver's and they have really turned it around and made it very nice. read more

This was certainly a pleasant surprise. I stopped here for a late lunch while visiting Norton. The atmosphere was a fun over the top Mexican handicraft. Very bright and cheerful. The service was unbelievably nice and the food was surprisingly better than the usual Mexican wholesale. I would definitely make this my go to place if I were living in Wise county again. It doesn't stand up to some of the incredible Tex-Mex I've had, but hey - it was much more than I expected for the location. read more

Obviously something has changed since prior reviews. This place is fantastic! My friend and I had the special which was fajitas with chicken, steak and shrimp. It was so delicious and full of flavor. The rice beans and salad took up a full dinner plate. As I'm gluten free I asked for corn tortillas which they delivered with a smile. Service was spot on. My husband and I really enjoyed our date here first time I had ever been we sat near the bar. The seats were comfortable, the atmosphere was not too loud. We appreciated the beautiful artwork and delisious food. The waiters were friendly a very nice family atmosphere. I like the bar area is separate from the other area of the restaurant. You get your money's worth with the portion size. Highly reccomened by us. We will visit again. read more

Friendly staff , love the endless chips and salsa . Carne asada is one of my favorite also the shrimp cocktail dish is delish, Place is busy, so I call ahead on the to go. Wish they delivered. I do not understand the long lines here. The Tex Mex cuisine is microwaved to death! The chips and salsa is very bland and uninspired. I am not sure how food can be this bad? I think my fellow RAM volunteers are suffering from so much heat exhastion any cold drinks seem wonderful. We're from California and eat at Mexican restaurants often. This was by far the worst Mexican food I've ever had at a restaurant. The cheese in the chili relleno was runny and could hardly be called cheese. The taco shell was a store bought shell filled with poor tasting ground beef. The only reason I gave the place two stars is because the decor is delightful. read more

Terrible. The food was typical Mexican food, nothing special. It took them 5 min to ask us what we wanted to drink. It took them another 10 minutes to come back to get our order. Our food was delivered and we never saw our waiter again. We sat there for 45 min and finally decided we needed to go up to the register. To start on a positive, this has to be the cutest most uniquely decorated Mexican restaurant I've ever seen. Menu was standard fare. Rest room a little scary and could use some brightening. Service was fare...basically brought water, chips, salsa, took order, brought order, picked up dishes, and brought check. Sounds basic but not much smiles and niceties. Consistently great food every time we come here! It's the best Mexican food around. I highly recommend them. Prices can't be beat either!

Ended up going back a second time and was surprised by how good my meal was. They must have been having a bad day during my first visit.

I eat here at least once whenever I come here to visit family or work. The staff is really nice and service is fast. The food is consistently delicious. I actually had wrapped my retainers in a paper towel and thought I put them in my purse. I realized after I left that I didn't have them. I went back to the restaurant and explained I may have dropped them or left them there. I spoke to Raff who had his staff look for them. They actually found them!! Not too many restaurants take the time for something like this. They were very busy that day. For this and all the good experiences I've had here, they get a 5! read more

Our kids go to school at the University of Virginia at Wise (right down the road) so we've been to Mi Finca several times. The food is always good, service speedy and prices are reasonable. On my last visit I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp fajitas and the kids and hubby typically get the pollo fundido. The margaritas are great as well! read more

Maybe our server was having a bad night. But my husbands family took my daughter (who is a huge fan of Mexican food) here for her birthday. The server was rude and short tempered , we were made to feel very unwelcome. The food was mediocre at best. In all honesty there are other Mexican restaurant with nicer servers and better food around here that I will be spending my money at...If I could give 0 stars I would. read more
