Worst pharmacy ever. The service is non existent. You call Campbell location, and after being on hold for 30 min, your call is being sent to the Royal location, which can't give you information about basic stuff like the status of your refill. Tried calling them 3 times this morning, every time on hold for 30 min, and in the end getting to a voicemail. Left voicemail, fat chance someone will call me back any time soon. When I got the forts batch of medication, they messed it up three times, until they got it right, and in the right location. I have no clue how a business can operate so poorly and still be in business. Needless to say that I will not be using them again. read more

They are the worst! It has taken a month, on 3 different occasions, to get my compounded meds. Plus, the compounding head at the Campbell location needs to learn how not to be blatantly rude to customers. Never going back, will find another compounding pharmacy that is professional and respectful to their customers and fills prescriptions efficiently. read more

I've been a Dougherty's customer for years because it's extremely convenient to my home and work. I love the idea of going to a a local, non-chain pharmacy, but I am no longer willing to have my prescriptions filled there. The best way to sum it up is that their pharmacy staff will tell you things that aren't true. "We'll have that ready in 15-20 minutes" - ha! 90 minutes later, I'm still sitting there waiting. They didn't have a drug for my daughter's strep and ear infection and my husband asked to have the prescription transferred to a different pharmacy, and they say that they can't do that. My husband is a pharmacist and almost blew a fuse when they told him that because that's absolutely not true, and lo and behold when they find out he's a pharmacist, they tell him to give them a minute and they come back to him 20 minutes later and they have the drug my kid needs. I could go on with my stories but suffice it to say, I gave Dougherty's the benefit of the doubt and I wound up disappointed. If you need medical equipment or braces, bandages etc, it's a little pricey but the staff seems to be knowledgeable and helpful. read more

Dougherty's is raved about by many people and maybe that is why I have very high expectations from them. They have consistently over the last two years disappointed me. I use them because of their location and because they do compounding. Sometimes I have to wait four days for the compounding to be finished because they are so busy. In two years, only once have they called me to tell me something was ready that I was waiting on. Several times I have gone in to pickup and only one of my prescriptions was ready. This time they had lost two of the prescriptions after I had given them 2 days more than they said they needed to fill them. Since they had lost the order they said they would deliver it to me at no cost. I asked them to please deliver to my house and not my UPS box which is my address of record. They assured me they would and I would have my prescription that evening. Well you guessed it, they delivered to my UPS box. I think their problem is that they have gotten too big and too popular and cannot meet the demand and continue to offer good service. Maybe that is a lesson for all of us in business. I will continue to go there because of their location. There are other compounding pharmacies that give better service, but they are very inconvenient for me. Hopefully, someone there will read this and make an effort to evaluate what they need to do to balance quality and quantity. read more

Not had very many great experiences there. Recently, they completely ignored a doctors order when he called in a prescription and then they claimed that they must have shredded the notes they took from the doctor on the phone because they couldn't verify what was called in and it had only been about 30 min. prior. I had to call the doctor a 2nd time after hours to get it all straightened out. read more

I use to go here every month to get my compound medications and every single time I went t hey'd rather talk about their personal stuff than fill your medications! Every time I went up there I had to set there for hours and wait! Every time I'd ask them if it was almost ready they'd start to be rude! I would NEVER ever recommend them at all!! My doctor sent a prescription to this place over 2 weeks ago (North Dallas location). I called Dougherty's after a week of not hearing anything. They told me my doctor didn't send over my telephone number with the prescription, so they had no way to contact me to get further details regarding my insurance, etc. Really? Seems like it would have been pretty simply to call the doctor back to get my number. Another week goes by, and the prescription is still not ready. Again, I have to initiate a call as there has been NO update from the pharmacy at all. Today's excuse is that the compounding lab is "a little backed up". Better take your business elsewhere - especially if you need prompt treatment. read more

Not sure what happened but Dougherty's has gone from wonderful to terrible. Longtime customer who switched to them because of their awesome customer service but the past year and particularly 2019 has been awful. Long lines, mistakes, lost prescriptions, refill errors, poor customer service, longtime pharmacy staff gone, rude staff and ongoing construction for I don't know what. Went back to CVS and Tom Thumb both of whom said they have had many customers switch to or back to them this year because of same issues. read more

ZERO STARS. This pharmacy is a joke. Never answer the phone, long lines, abhorrent customer service. Like, abysmal. They've given me the wrong RX twice (second time I caught it before leaving, thank God). Just now it took her 20 minutes to find my RX. Someone mistakenly put my "M' last name in the "W" box. Not the first time they've lost me, either. Also, why are there 20 people working here but no one is ever at the register to check people out? What are they doing on those computers back there? I seriously don't get it. EVERY time I come to pick up, there's someone else ahead of me complaining or people in line commiserating. These pharmacists don't care at all. I mean, it's not like these are life saving medications people need or anything, right? Ha! Don't get your prescriptions filled here, please. Save yourself the trouble and find another pharmacy. I have a compound RX that is filled at Dougherty's. On multiple occasions I have used the phone line to call in a refill for the RX and they system seems to have issues. Several months ago, I phoned the pharmacy to check on the refill and they indicated that the auto system doesn't always work. I tried again this month, and it looks like the auto system still doesn't work. There used to be an online form that you could fill out but with the recent move of the Preston/Royal location, the old site doesn't appear to be available and there are no links off the new site to generate a request for a refill. I called the pharmacy several times this week to check and was on hold for 5+ minutes each time and eventually hung up. Tried again tonight and after 4 or 5 minutes someone did answer and when I gave her my information she stated they didn't have anything for me so I asked if she could take my re-order. I gave her the RX# and she told me she didn't have it and then asked if it was a compound. She said she couldn't help with compounds and had to transfer me to someone else. I waited 5 more minutes on hold and then my call when to Vmail. I left a message requesting a refill and I guess we'll see what happens. read more

This place is awful and I wish I could give it 0 stars. I was recommended to this place because I needed a pharmacy that did compounding for adult numbing lollipops for a tonsillectomy. I also decided to drop off my other 2 prescriptions, Lortab and anti-nausea tablets, so I could pick them all up at once and save a trip to CVS. I took them in on a Sunday and was told the compounding took a few days, but the other 2 prescriptions could be picked up the next day at noon. I went in the next day around 1:30pm and my prescriptions weren't ready. I was told it would be about 25 minutes so I decided to wait at the store because its about a 30 minute drive from my house. So Im waiting 25 mins, then an hour, then finally get called up and only my nausea medication was ready but was promised the Lortab would only be about 15-25 mins more. So I waited, waited some more. Then I got called up again only to be told they were out and could only fill a tiny bit of the prescription and I'd have to come back the next day to get the rest of it. I waited 2 hours only to be told they couldn't fill it. So I ended up having to take the Lortab prescription to CVS, which was actually a blessing in disguise because it was over $100 at Dougherty's, and it was only $29 at CVS. While I was at the counter, I asked the price of the adult lollipops and I was told $45. When I had my mom go pick them up for me on Wednesday after the surgery, they told her it was $179 for 6 lollipops. I don't appreciate being lied to because I would not have even elected to fill the prescription if I knew it was so much. It also wasted an hour of my mom's time driving there and back. They ended up agreeing to give us 2 of the 6 for $40, but had I not been in excruciating pain and needing them, I would not have given them a cent of my money. I will be telling my doctor's office to stop recommending their patients come here. They have no respect for people's time, and the staff at the registers in the pharmacy are clearly misinformed. read more

To say that these people are mentally challenged would be an insult to those that are mentally challenged. First off, they employ people who obviously lack two important skills; personality and basic math. They have no concept of what it means to be personable, and out of the 3 times I've used their pharmacy, they have screwed something up all 3 times. I ordered meds, called to see if my prescription was ready., and left a voicemail. They never called me back. I called them the next day on a Saturday. They said that they needed a different prescription. Obviously, my doctor wasn't in on a Saturday. Needless to say I had to go three days without my daily meds. I called to speak with someone and had to let the phone ring about 50 times before anyone answered. The lights on but nobody's home! Forget this place if you expect service. read more

Had to come here because they are the only one who could supply the compounded prescription I needed for an eye infection. Dr.'s office called it in while I drove over, and I was told about 25-30 minutes to prepare. With the temp numbing drop from the Dr. quickly wearing off, I sat there for over an hour while I watched the elderly head pharmacist spend 30 minutes chatting off to the side with a customer while the pain began to radiate and my eye began to throb as I cringed from the light. The front desk girl was swamped but very nice, she saw what was going on and finally went and got my prescription and gave it to another pharmacist to fill. Got home and the instructions they'd prepared were for the wrong eye. read more

I started coming here last year after one too many issues with CVS. It was an easy process to transfer everything over and everyone is friendly here. They even remember you and get your prescriptions as quickly as possible. I've never had to wait very long and unless we move out of the area I'll keep going here for the foreseeable future :) read more

I have been using Dougherty's for over a year due to its location being convenient for me and having my prescriptions on file. However, this pharmacy is easily the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. They consistently make errors and only correctly fill a prescription around 25% of the time. Their errors have been: -Running out of a medication and failing to notify me until I've arrived to pick up my prescription (most common problem, happens 50% of the time) -Not refilling a prescription that's been called in -Incorrectly filling an order (needed a multi-month supply for a trip, filled out a special form specifically for that purpose, the pharmacy only asked the doctor for a normal refill.) -Failing to contact a doctor that they say they are going to contact Basically this place is very poorly run. Save yourself the hassle and just go to a big name pharmacy. Those are much quicker and rarely ever have any miscues on service. read more

Great inventory but very slow service. I went in there yesterday to get a pressure bandage and I could have stood there for an hour with no one asking if I needed assistance. When I got someone, he promptly told me he was new and spent time looking for my product until I had to ask him to get some of the 3 or 4 employees milling around the back who were chatting and putting inventory on storage shelves. I'm only giving them the star for their cute overpriced stationary. But I'm not here to complain about inanimate objects. They are helpless victims that have to sit on a shelf everyday and breathe in the smug coming from the employees. I'll explain. I had been told by friends to use them for my prescriptions. My friend said "They are a cute, sweet little local pharmacy that treats you like family." Oh boy I don't know what family my friend comes from but I sure as heck don't want a part of it. To sum it up... They refused to fill my prescription because the pharmacist deemed it too high of a dose. How did she let me know? Oh I heard her yell at the pharmacy tech. The whole store heard. Now the kicker? The big black frizzy haired pharmacist sat behind the counter and refused to come tell it to my face. I'm a tall, educated 20 something year old who has a college education. I'm not a junkie writing fake prescriptions and trying to score. I was not the only customer who was ill treated. There was a sweet old lady who went to pick up her husband's arthritis medicine. They refused to work with her insurance company. While I was waiting for my turn to be verbally assaulted I overheard the poor woman tell her husband on the phone "well we have to pay full price. I guess we will have to eat whatever is in the fridge since I can't get groceries. I'll just fry up the okra." Long story short unless you are in to being treated like a hardened drug addict and $40 candles don't go here... Or better yet, message me and I'll go ahead and slap you in the face. Consumer Beware!!! I got a prescription filled here for the first time today. When I got home and opened the bag, the box had been clearly opened. It was a single usage box of 10 pills in a blister pack. One of the pills was missing!!!!! The pharmacist had to put my prescription label on the box, so how could he not have noticed that it had been tampered with!!! The side of the box was bent oddly and the side flaps where open. Who does their quality control? On top of this, when I called 3 hours ago, I was told they would deliver the medication out to my home immediately. I have called back every hour and they still have not delivered my medication. This is no pharmancy I want dispensing drugs to anyone in my family!!! Now its been 4 hours. No medication and they are closed. read more

Convenient, but sometimes slow to process prescriptions. If you need them to contact your Dr. to renew a expired prescription, it can take a week. Also, have had several instances where I refilled script on the automated phone system and took more than 24hrs to get ready. I think they do a lot of volume and can get behind. read more

I too have experienced horrible service at this pharmacy. I had them call the doctor's office for a refill med. The pharmacy called me and told me it was filled. Later that afternoon I went to the pharmacy to pick up the med. The clerk told it was not ready so I would have to wait for one hour. I return one hour later spoke to the same clerk who said there was an issue with the refill. 20 minutes later she returned and said I have to call the doctor's office. They (Daugherty's Pharmacy) had no record of whom called me. What a waste of time, I will not return this pharmacy. The customer service is horrible. read more

They are TERRIBLE! Try calling and actually talking to someone in the pharmacy. Their automated phone service does not allow it. My mother is in a memory care facility that they service. If that was not the case I would use ANYONE else that I could find. Additionally their software that the senior living centers use is also TERRIBLE and difficult for the staff to use often resulting in med mistakes. I am going in on Monday to hopefully speak to someone who cares. read more

Had the most horrific experience and left the pharmacy after passive aggressive abuse by a particular Pharmacist named Chris and still they have not completed an order for an Rx initially called in 9 days ago. I did not leave it all to them to follow up. I called a total of 6 times, every time you call you wait a minimum of 3 minutes as the recording says your approx. wait time is. After that on 2 out of these 6 calls I got voicemail, 1 of those I just hung up the other I left a message cuz it was continually a wait to maybe or maybe not get through to someone each call. I was called back and told they were out of the med and will order. They said I can pick up Monday. I said "should I wait till Tuesday just to make sure" (they very often have a line of people waiting for Rx's to be filled). He says no it will be ready Monday. I show up late Tuesday to find they can no longer get the medicine and want an ok from me to order generic. I can go on and on with other failures occurring trying to fill this one prescription and it's now day 9. I left the store in tears at closing time, the last person to be serviced (horribly so) ...clearly the pharmacist was behaving partially because of this AND possibly because pharmacist manager wasn't there at that time and the man was just a completely uncaring and passive aggressive jerk. In the parking lot he walked by and I asked him how could he treat someone like this (I'm crying) he completely ignored me went to his car and tore off. I was the only customer left in the store when all of this was happening. Other staff watched and heard, nobody said one word to help a customer in tears. The whole situation rose over a period of 9 days of a fiasco some knew it who were standing there (they had been involved in the screw ups earlier in the week when I had come in 2 other times plus those 6 phone calls and 1 callback). The abuse was just over the top in the end. That pharmacist, Chris, should not be in a job particularly where he has to take care of sick people and cause them undue stress. I fully intend to speak with managers, owners whomever I have to trying to make sure this never happens to anyone else by this man. Yes I was frustrated but he handled it all as unprofessionally as possible, short of cursing at a customer. I know things can get confusing and complications can happen with meds, orders, service. I have been a chronically ill PERSON for 20 years now. It takes a lot of patience to work through the system on so much of the managing it all. I am generally incredibly patient, gracious, and kind with people in service to the public because I'm acutely aware of how much crap they have to deal with. I was frustrated going into Dougherty's this evening but only because I had already endured a lot of screw ups with this one order. I had just called in to see if my Rx was ready as I was driving there. It was screwed up when I arrived, I waited for it to be done, while checking out it was still screwed up because the gave me the incorrect quantity (way short) and I had to wait around for abuse. They still don't have the rest of my order so I still have to go get the rest. I NEVER want to set foot in this place again and I have been going there for at least 20 years. I like doing business with locally owned proprietors. Choose better for yourself with Doughery's. We've run a very successful family owned business in Dallas for 26 years. It is simply wrong to treat customers like this. Most specifically the way this pharmacist treated me without any care to the problems that ensued on their behalf prior to his actions. There are things that are not running right/smoothly there but the reason I'm walking out after 20 years of business with them is the complete lack of acknowledgement by all at their errors and topping it off by a professional pharmacist to my face acting deplorable...and he takes care of the sick...
