I called in and ordered the Upstairs Neighbor a 16" Crispy crust, caramelized onions, Cup n Char pepperoni, NJ crushed tomato, whole milk mozzarella, and chipotle honey drizzle Pizza. Make sure you have plenty of napkins in arms reach because the pizza is good but the sauce is sticky ! This is a nice twist to the pepperoni pizza. Oh! And the order was ready in 20 mins just like they told me over the phone.

Tried Dough Head back when they opened a few years ago and recently had the chance to try em again. Popular spot with lots of takeout orders and you can get slices too. Service very quick with managing pickups and such. No tables inside, pickup only. Had the John Dough which is plain cheese. Very crusty and crispy. Sauce and cheese very well balanced and it was a good, all around pizza. Have heard good things about some of the wildly named ones also need to try those out next time. Thanks

I wasn't the biggest fan of this pie BUT I can see people who really enjoy Buffalo wings really enjoying this! It was very flavorful very meaty and packed a punch! Pick up was quick and they always ask if we want plates! Something they can improve on is making the slices more even, but I do enjoy the rustic style of the cuts.

Have I found a new pizza spot?? I think so! Ordered delivery for a Elon crust and garlic knots. First of all, I can never say no to a spot with awesome pizza names and the variety is unmatched!!! When I got the large pizza, the box was HUGE which let me know immediately that I'll get my $$ worth. You can choose to have your pizza "well done" aka a good char on the crust but not burnt. Dough Head def understood the assignment on that one too. The pizza was ahmazingggggg with a good balance of cheese and sauce. Also, hats off to the garlic knots because it tasted like somebody put they back into it! I have no choice at this point but to go back and try their other pizzas too!

WOW OH WOW! I have to admit that this was one of the best slices of pizza that I've had in Philly! I was always under the impression that another commonly mentioned pizza place was the best but my option has definitely shifted! The slices were large and so good! I had some left over and it even tasted better heated up the next day! Will definitely coming back for more!

This is a very good pizza spot, I did order it to my house which admittedly is a bit far from the location so it's hard to fully assess how the pizza was before the transit. The flavors were very good and there was a good amount of pepperoni on the pie which is important. There were more garlic knots that I thought there would be and they were good but not life changing. Don't get my wrong this is a very good option for to go pizza; I just wish I was a bit closer for fresher delivery.

Had a pretty tough time deciding on which two pies to go with as there are so many similar-ish options but each with their own character. Ultimately asked for help and went with Dough Joe & Grannie Pannies Dough Joe: I'm a huge white pizza guy and this was just okay. I surprisingly felt like the ricotta was too soft to hold up the rest of the pizza in terms of overall texture. The garlic spinach was a nice touch. The sausage was fine-really nothing overly special. The crust is good but there's a LOT of it. We ended up buying extra marinara sauce and the garlic parm sauce for dipping-I really enjoyed the latter but some may find it a bit salty. Grannie Pannies: The thickness of this crust was key- a nice thinness without being too floppy. The sauce was nice. Added some of their garlic powder, chili flakes, and truffle hot sauce which really put this slice over the edge. I was actually quite surprised they had the truffle hot sauce in the condiment section-would recommend (it is HOT!). The prices for the pies were a bit of an eyebrow raiser but the pies were really sizable so I actually think they were quite reasonable. They don't have seating here but there are a few bars/brewery nearby you can venture to to eat.

Wow! If I could give this place a score of 100, I would--without a doubt! Started with a couple slices and a Dr. Pepper... ended up devouring a whole square pizza. That's how good it is! The food? Absolutely excellent. The service? Top-notch. The vibe? Super cool, with some awesome artwork on the walls that adds to the experience. Hands down, one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The owner Justin super cool even gave us a tour of his kitchen told us a little bit of his secret dough

I was blown away by Dough Head. Having lived in NYC, one of the meccas of pizza, my expectations are high! My love with this pizza spot began when I noticed their extensive, fun menu via uber eats. I was a little weary because it is on the pricey side, but they have a large selection of unique pizzas! I chose the Upstairs Neighbor which had caramelized onions, pepperoni, mozzarella, and a heavenly drizzle of chipotle honey. BLOWN AWAY. The crust was crispy as were the pepperoni. It was just simply perfect in every way. My curiosity got the best of me so I had to get RPG (Ranch, Parmesan, and Garlic) sauce. What an amazing addition to an already amazing culinary experience. Lol! The only thing I didn't love was the cucumber feta salad but that was probably because of my own taste buds. It was a little too tart for me! I can't wait to order pizza again though!!

The crust on this pizza is great. It's crunchy yet chewy at the same time. And I did ask for it to not be too charred. I know it's not a common preference for pizza, but I'm not a fan of that burnt taste. And Dough Head accommodated my request perfectly! It was perfectly cooked and was absolutely delicious. Tons of toppings on this pizza, unlike a lot of other pizza places. A pizza did cost $28 (with taxes and fees), which is certainly on the higher side.

I was in the area and searched for Pizza, so glad I chose this place. I believe it's new to South Philly and it def adds value to the food scene in that area. It's right across from Pats Steaks. We will be back to try more things. But, for a solid piece of cheese pizza, place should be your next stop.

Fast service and kind employees, but I was not impressed with the taste of the pizza. The place is well kept and clean.

I have had some really bad pizza in this city, and I've had some okay pizza too. However, this is the only pizza place I find myself going back to. Truth be told, I don't have the patience for Angelo's so I can't compare Dough Head to them (yet). Everyone on my street (mere blocks from Dough Head) order it too because I always see a box out on trash night. We love the dough mama (white pizza with crumbled broccoli) and the Olivia gluten John (chicken, sun dried tomatoes). You should go for their premade selections, rather than DIY because you'd be hard pressed to make something more delicious than their options. I've ordered online several times, and it's always ready on time. They recently started a rewards program too so now I can see how much of a fatty I'm really being by looking at my rewards!

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room--rare in New York. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

The hostess took our coats (a nice touch!) and then a rotation of two servers explained the specials and we ordered. I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. We are so lucky to have an amazing (and nationally recognized!) pizza spot in the neighborhood and it's always nice when you can walk in without a reservation from time to time.

We ordered two of the famous spicy caesar salads (must order!!), a ricotta toast, a White Claw pizza, and a finished off our meal sharing two chocolate budinos. The White Claw is a pretty classic white pizza, mozzarella and swirls of basil pesto; the crust is amazing! It pairs perfectly with the salad. The ricotta toast is decadent and addicting, but a little bit goes a long way. The chocolate budino was outstanding - sweet, with hints of espresso. We won't talk about how I ended up with some of it on my white turtleneck... Service was friendly and QUICK! We ordered, and I swear we had our first dishes in less than 10 minutes. The server was a doll, though I can't recall his name. Downside of Prunella, like anywhere in Center City, is there is no parking. Upside, is you're just a short walk from the 13th St. Septa Station, and you're literally equidistant from Broad and Market streets. Pro-tip: Killer happy hour specials, but only at the bar. The polite smile that says "it's fine" while the eyes say "it is absolutely not." Totally understandable. No one loves a near-close order. I even acknowledged it out loud--apologized, explained we weren't from the area, and that we were just trying to grab a quick bite because it was one of the few places still open. She said it was okay. Her face said otherwise. Fair enough. Here's where it turned around. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and legitimately impressive. Not "good for late night" good--just plain good. Every bite was fresh, the ingredients tasted clean, and the pizza clearly hadn't been rushed or phoned in despite the timing. Hunger probably helped, but even factoring that out, this was a standout. Honestly, I was kicking myself for not ordering an extra one to go before leaving the city. That's how good it was. We did try to get drinks, but were told the soda machine was down. The nozzles were off, so I'm guessing it was a cleaning/end-of-night thing. I won't ding them for it--though let's be real, tossing nozzles in sanitizer isn't exactly a marathon. Still, not a deal-breaker. Restaurant was clean, but of course, they were near closing. I tipped her a few bucks for staying late, and left genuinely satisfied. Bottom line: the food carried this experience completely. If you're visiting Philadelphia and need a reliable, fresh, late-night bite, &Pizza is absolutely worth the stop.
