Farm to table menu that is always fresh, inventive and delicious! The pizzas are perfect with crunchy crusts and seasonal combinations for toppings. Can't go wrong with their basic Margherita pie but always ask about the specials. Apps are limited but if you add one of their seasonal salads or soups to your pizza order you will not be disappointed. Staff is friendly, owner/chef is knowledgeable and welcoming. PLUS its a BYOB! read more

Had dinner with my wife last night, she had the Pork belly and I had the roasted chicken..... both were out of this world good. I asked the server where they get the pork and chicken and he came back and told us from Riverbend farm in Far Hills, NJ. Really a wonderful dinner, will be back........... read more

Great food! Plus it's BYOB which is even better. We went with our friends and ordered a few pizzas, beet salad, crabmeat risotto and the Mac and cheese! Omg amazzzzzzinggg! We shared everything and it was perfect. read more

The Lunch special is awesome. You are able to choose any salad and a pizza or sandwich. I selected the kale salad. The portion was generous. Just the right amount of feta. The sausage pizza was to die for. The ground sausage and cheese were gourmet with the right amount of spices. read more

Great pizza and salads with a very nice backyard. Servers are knowledgable and helpful. It's a small menu that but they focus on quality and we are rarely disappointed. read more

Great customer service despite how busy it is all the time AND great pizza!! Did a large family dinner here with 14 people and no one left disappointed! read more

Couldn't love this place more! Pizzas are the perfect combo of crisp/chewy with delicious ingredients, the zucchini chips are amazing. Waitstaff has always been attentive and friendly. The patio out back is delightful. We have made this a regular spot in our dining out rotation! read more

Wonderful experience overall. Delicious pizza. Great ambiance / decor. Super professional and courteous staff from bus staff to server. We were treated as if this was a fine dining establishment. Our server Jason was fantastic. Will be back! read more

So this is my first ever review! I enjoyed myself so much that I signed up on Yelp! But enough about that, let's talk about the food! I had the Beet Salad and the Mushroom Pie. All YUM! Who knew you could get gourmet pizza like that? I like the fact that the chef gets locally sourced and organic products - that deserves an extra star! The owner even came around and chatted with us for a bit asking how we like everything and also asked for suggestions and feedback - nice guy. The decor was cool too. I was told that they just opened the room we were led to. I also heard that they have a nice outdoor seating area in the back. I'll be back soon and can't wait until the weather gets nicer for outside. Oh and it's a BYOB - nothing better. read more

Excellent pizza, friendly staff, fresh ingredients. This place is a must! You must try the fresh homemade ricotta, it's to die for. I know why this place is named dough - the bread is delicious. read more

Best food. Great service. Always fresh. Salads and pizza are amazing. A little noisy inside but great terrace dining!

From the Meatballs to the Zucchini Chips to the Pizza Special, it just kept getting better. Chef even sent out a second Pizza because he wasn't satisfied with a couple spots on the first one, and even that first one was pretty damn good. Outdoor area in back is beautiful and weather was just right. BYO. Great service. read more

My family and I love ALL their food. Nice, casual eatery with a new fresh twist on wood fired pizza. Fabulous outdoor seating area in the summer. read more

Wow. Absolutely amazing. From apps through dessert, everything was delicious, and the service was terrific. I highly recommend!

I love eating at Dough. It is my favorite local pizzeria. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is clean and in a good location. They even have an outdoor dining area. The best food on the menu in my opinion is the sausage pizza and zucchini crisps. I get that every time I go and I'm never disappointed. Place is also BYO. read more

Best Pizza EVER! A little pricy but well worth it.. More like a date night pizza spot. Amazing Pizza with good quality ingredients! So good!! read more

Absolutely excellent restaurant. High class food with a laid back atmosphere. We had the grilled sourdough toast for an appetizer. There are a variety of toppings for the toast and all three that we had were very very good. Pizza was excellent, definitely lived up to its name. Lots of creative pizzas on the menu that we will try in future visits. For the person who said that the gnocchi weren't good, I couldn't disagree more. i thought that the gnocchi at Dough were the best homemade gnocchi that i have ever had. Owner was a very nice guy and from talking to him, you could tell that he really cares about his food and customers. Phenomenal restaurant that I will be recommending to friends and family. read more

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is homey and sophisticated, and the servers are wonderful. Great place for a date night or family dinner. Would recommend to everyone! read more

I was visiting family in NJ from out of town and was so blown away by this place that I insisted we go back again two days later. The salads are amazing (try the kale salad or the beet salad!) with really large portions. Most of the ingredients are sourced locally, so that's extra cool. The owner came out to talk to us, which was a nice touch and he's really friendly. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, this is the best pizza I've ever had, including in Italy. Try the butternut squash pizza with braised kale, and you must also try the risotto - it's to die for. Bring a group so you can all try and share different dishes! The patio is fantastic, weather permitting, but inside is really cozy, too. I bet it'll be amazing in the winter, with the wood fire oven going... read more

I eat lunch here frequently, it's close to the office. Good, fresh delicious food, attentive service. Can't say enough good things about the pizza. I understand the rest of their food is good, but I can't get past the pizza! read more

We had a great Ladies Night Out there recently and their staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was fresh & quite good. The only critique is that weeknites they close at 9 pm when our conversation was going strong. They didn't chase us out, but there was only 1 other party there at the time. read more

Most of these reviews seem a little too well written for me. They have a bit more food critic jargon then I'm used to seeing in reviews from just plain folks. But, be that as it may, we had the Pizza Margherita and the Rib Tips Parpardella. My wife said the pizza was OK, nothing special and the crust was thicker than she'd like. But the Rib Tips Parpardella was tasteless. The pasta was clearly homemade and while not bad, lent the only taste to this dish it had. No gravy or sauce of any king. Just a pasty, bland entree. After two forks, I left it uneaten. The salad also could have used a dressing, regardless of what they said, it was just bathed in oil. And, for $8 the two golf ball-size rice balls were notable only for their high and unjustified price. There may be items on the menu that are much better in taste and value, but we are unlikely to ever find out. read more

There were six of us in our party and we enjoyed our time at Dough. We tried a wide array of apps and entrees including pastas and pizzas, and everything tasted good. The service was also good. We'd likely return. read more

So delicious! Went here with my boyfriend for dinner. We ordered the kale salad, the gnocchi and the pizza special (chicken sausage, spinach, basil, pesto, sundried tomatoes, and fresh motz.) For dessert we ordered the 3 scoops of gelato. Everything was delicious! It was the perfect amount of food and I loved every bite! read more

Great, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Simple, rustic ambiance. And amazing locally-sourced, seasonal food. You can't spend your money anywhere better in Caldwell for a casual, delicious BYOB meal. read more

Just ate at Dough for the first time, today for lunch. The food and the service (by Fernando) were very good. We had butternut squash soup, arugula salad and a pizza (fontina cheese, leeks and pancetta). I enthusiastically recommend this place. read more

Sausage fontina pie is awesome! Great place, great service!

I had a Bridal shower there this past weekend for about 40 people on their outside patio area and it was amazing! Alyx was the manager responsible for helping us with planning and executing the party, she was great and very accommodating. She made sure our every need was met and our guests were happy. The food was so good and our guests are still talking about it. I myself and the bride have a Gluten allergy and Alyx was kind enough to make us separate meals and pizza. I would highly recommend eating here as their pizzas are amazing as well as the kale salad, cod and skirt steak! Also if you are looking for a place to have a private party go see Alyx she will not disappoint! read more

I could spend all day writing a review about how incredible Dough is, but I'm not going to. If you haven't been, you NEED to try this restaurant. I can't think of a single dish I've had there that I've been disappointed with (full disclosure, I'm not a fish eater, so I haven't had any seafood dish). We were just there last night, and it doesn't get any better than sitting outside on that beautiful patio with good friends and amazing food (some wine and beer didn't hurt either). We come to Dough for just about every birthday or family gathering, and are never disappointed. The menu is always changing, but while you can, I strongly recommend the "Roxy" pizza...salami, burrata, jalapenos, and local honey (many of their ingredients are local). It's too good for words. We will be back again and again... read more

appetizers were excellent - burrata with pear?, meatballs pizza - margherita, and mushroom, too bland, excellent dough desert - apple pie and brownie, excellent price - $90 with tip bottom line - wanted to love it, service and décor excellent, but at $90 the pizza just didn't have enough flavor for our family, was actually bland as a few others have noted; read more

Recently held a large party here and was very happy with how everything went. The planning was made easy by the manager Alyx and the food was delicious. Definitely a great place to eat or throw a party. read more

Yummy and fresh ingredients! I love the kale squash pizza and the great salads. The staff is also very accommodating. In the warmer months we like to sit out back and enjoy the ambience. read more

I work two minutes away from here and I am now so happy I discovered this place! We ordered the zucchini chips and they were great. You would expect them to be greasy since they are fried but they weren't and tasted so good! And the dipping sauce that comes with them was great too. For our meal we split the Pesto pizza, which was the perfect size for two people. Great pizza, amazing pizza dough. Thin crust and so fluffy! Will definitely be coming back here again! =] read more

Place is freakin awesome!!!! Hands down best pizza in north jersey and I've been to many....Delish!!!

Food is amazing but a/c needs attention. Only cool place was the bathroom. We sweat through dinner. Won't go back until fall when the weather cools off. read more

Amazing service! We were seated right away and the service was spectacular, too! Their food tasted fresh and well cooked. Other waiters and waitresses came to our table to make sure everything was okay and asked if we needed anything. The environment was calm and cozy. This is a highly recommended pizzeria; I will definitely revisit this place again. read more

Visited twice and both times excellent. The service was wonderful and super friendly and attentive. We had the mac and cheese- to die for must have! Pizza was excellent, the kind you hope for in an "artisan" pizzeria! Awesome flavors, we will be back. Make sure you try the bruschetta, was great! read more

Extremely tasty food and very friendly service.

Hands down, my favorite place for pizza- I dare say, in all of nj?? The decor and atmosphere has a modern/rustic feel, service is excellent and food is amazing. What more could you ask for in a restaurant? The kids love the zucchini crisps and Mac n cheese. I personally love their kale salad- the dressing is perfect, both taste and amount. Has almonds, avocados and tomatoes in it also- topped with shaved parmesan cheese, so delish! We've tried a lot of their pizza pies- fave probably the smokey. It has smoked mozzerella, some kind of bacon/ham, kale I think?, and an egg in the middle, barely cooked with the yolk runny. Seriously perfection! I'm picky about my carbs and the dough for their pizza is amazing. I never eat pizza crusts, but I eat every last bite here. Hubby loved the hangar steak sandwich. I had a bite and the flavor was excellent. Tasty meat, arugula, horseradish mayo, bread was excellent of course. These people know how to do carbs right! Definitely will return again and again. read more

Came here for dinner last night. I suggest making a reservation, this place is very popular. Thankfully we had brought a bottle of wine and drank some while we waited for our table. Next time will make a reservation online or call. The atmosphere is great in the dining room. The service was very good, I believe it was the manager who stopped by a few times to check in on our table, our waiter was nice as well. We ordered the meatball appetizer and the ricotta spread. It is a great pairing. I almost wish this came together as it was a lot of bread for just the 2 of us. Maybe a smaller portion and offered as 1 appetizer for smaller groups, since it pairs so nicely together. I ordered the margarita pizza with prosciutto. It was very good. My husband ordered the steak special, he said it was pretty good. Would certainly come back because the service and atmosphere is great. The food was quite tasty; would swap the steak for a pizza next time though. Will return! read more
