Great place to stop for lunch. If you are visiting historic Kimmswick be sure to check out Dough Depot's pick 2 special.

Their pretzel bread sandwiches are delicious! Fun little shop in the entryway. Delicious desserts. Indoor & casual outdoor area to sit.

Dough depot is a must go to restaurant! They serve great food and great sweets. This place makes you feel at home and is the perfect spot to go to. When you come to Dough Depot, be sure to get the pretzel bun because no one makes it like them! Personally, I love their pickle pizza, mandarin orange salad, and the Depot delux. read more

My addiction!! How can you go wrong with pretzel bread!! Whether it's a Market Street or a Buffalo Chicken sandwich... it is transported to a whole ne delicious level when it is on pretzel bread!! The homemade dressings are so amazing, I cannot decide if my favorite is poppyseed or the spicy chipotle?? If you are a vinaigrette lover they have several!! I just cannot say enough about this cute little small business! It fills up quickly though so call ahead and make a reservation if you want a guaranteed seat!! read more

I love this place. Food is always amazing!! I love eating at small local places!! Have never had any issues with food or customer service. I love Kimmswick!! read more

I've always wanted to try this place but today my husband and I finally made it in. Our first dine in experience since being quarantined for months and it did not disappoint. They had their tables separated/ blocked off to allow for social distancing and our server was super friendly and wore a mask the entire time. We each did a pick 2 with a sandwich and salad/ chili. So fresh and tasty, the ranch dressing was awesome which is always appreciated. Sweet tea was exactly the way it should be. We have nothing bad to say and will be back soon. read more

Well...I came back and now I realize I made comments on here last time! Today I tried the southwest chicken salad! I was actually surprised that even though I only received a small plastic container of the chipotle dressing it was plenty for the whole salad! Everything tasted delicious...but I forgot about the tea being weak and ordered it again with the same opinion as last time! Oh well - consistency is a good thing most of the time...the food is still good and the staff is still friendly as ever! read more

The Dough Depot is the best place to eat in Kimmswick! That "other place" seems to get a lot of attention, but Dough Depot is the best! The mandarin orange salad...omg...I bet they serve this in heaven. read more

Very cute and quaint little town and restaurant. The food is not bad. I'm not a pretzel bread kinda person but everyone else loves it.

Best restaurant in Kimmswick (even better and cheaper than the famous place down the block). My favorite is the pickle pizza with a salad combo. Everything is under $10 too! read more

Always good and great service. The tropical salad, chicken salad sandwich and the garlic cheese bread are amazing.

Fantastic food served in a very cosy, quaint environment! We opted to eat here rather than a more famous place down the street based in a recommendation from a yelp friend. GOOD ADVICE!!! The pretzel bread that sandwiches are served on is fantastic!!! I had what they call the best grilled cheese in the world. And you know what? It was! It had two kinds of cheeses and complimented the pretzel bread well! My other half had a BLT and loved it! My little sidekick had a hot dog and fries and was in heaven! They have a small shop in the front where they sell Christmas ornaments and other cute craft items. The people there are sooo nice. They didn't bat an eye when my little sidekick decided to show them her thriller dance that she learned at the YMCA this summer.... In a small room full of breakable items. They just told her what a good dancer she was and genuinely smiled. So great food at great prices served by the nicest people you will ever meet in one of the most charming historic buildings you will encounter! I highly recommend!! read more

My wife has been bragging on this place for years, and since it was so nice outside this weekend, she asked if I would be interested in going here for lunch. I'm always up for trying something new, so off we went. It's located in Kimmswick, next to several cute little shops, and just down the street from The Blue Owl. We were able to find some street parking nearby, and made a short walk over to the restaurant. When you walk inside, it will take you back to when you used to hang out at you grandma's house. This place certainly has a lot of character and old time charm. At first we tried to sit inside, but were told the wait would be 20 minutes. We didn't want to wait that long, and my wife mentioned that we could order from the full menu from their outside window. Since it was such a nice day, this was a good move. Although it was a bit windy, we still enjoyed being outside. As for the food, my wife ordered a combo that included a turkey club and a side salad. I ordered the chicken ranch sandwich which came with chicken, cheese, bacon, and ranch, all on a pretzel bun. It also came with a side bag of lays potato chips. My sandwich was very tasty, and the pretzel bread is a nice touch. My wife enjoyed her meal as well, and mentioned this is something she had ordered during one of her previous visits. We weren't hungry enough to try any desserts, but my wife tells me they're great. Maybe next time I'll get some desserts, which could boost my review to 5 stars. Overall, this a cute little place with good food, and it's VERY affordable. The two of us ate here for a total of $20. The only downfall of this place is the hours. If you're not coming for lunch during the week or on the weekends, you're going to miss out. I think they close around 5 on the weekends. Give this place a try if you're ever in the area. read more

Been there several times. Sandwiches, pizza, etc are all great. Homemade cookies and ice cream. Get there early enough to get their fresh pretzel rolls and pretzel bites. read more

Love this place! The food is great, service is always great and Kimmswick is super fun. It looks really small from the outside but there are lots of tables inside and great little desserts and things to purchase. The cheddar broccoli soup is awesome and the pretzel bread that is used on the sandwiches is to die for! Definitely take time to walk around the other local shops after lunch! read more

This little restaurant has to be one of my favorite place to grab a bite to eat. If you come you can have anything you want but make sure you choose the pretzel bread! it's delicious. Up above is a little area for shopping. I highly recommend you stop by. read more

This is my dad and I's favorite place to eat! Very reasonable prices, but EXCELLENT food! I always get their baked alfredo pasta with the pretzel garlic bread on the side and it never disappoints! If you haven't tried the Dough Depot yet, I highly recommend it! After eating, it's always nice to take a stroll in the small town and do some shopping! read more

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Love the pretzel bread sandwiches... and the southwest salad is excellent!! Their frozen strawberry lemonade is really good too! They are typically really busy most of the time but it's worth the wait. read more

This is definitely a hidden Gem in Kimmswick. They have since expanded their dining area, which is great because the wait is not as long as before. I have been here a few times but forget to rave about how great it is. First off they sell FROZEN WINE...yes...they do. So make sure you get some if you are there. They serve salads, soups, pasta, and sandwiches. Make sure if you order a sandwich to get the Pretzel Bun for it. If not, you don't know what you are missing. I ordered Salad but I have had their soup (I can't compare to bread co) but they are pretty good. Their price is so much reasonable than the Blue Owl next door. I ordered a whole sandwich and salad, my son had the kid's soup meal, and we HAD to try a dessert. We end up spending about $16 for both of us plus tip. I will recommend their desserts. Normally I splurge on their chocolate, but something told me to go for the gooey butter cookie sundae. So glad I did. Don't be fooled by the 1 scoop or 2 scoop. They are big portions. They also have a cute little shop that has some boutique type things as well as goodies (pretzel buns and gooey butter cookies) and even ornaments (which are very reasonably priced). I don't go to Kimmswick often, but when I do...I love stopping by here for a treat. read more

Was a great place for a bite. Prices were good but now no one wears masks - not even the servers! The pretzel bread for the sandwich was stale. Salads were still wonderful & server was nice. Probably won't return. Covid is real. read more

This was my first time here and my wife and son's second time. Everyone was friendly and the food was good and not expensive. Order any of the sandwiches which are good, but what makes them better is the pretzel bread. What makes it worth the drive out are the desserts. We all picked the same one, funnel cake a la mode, each with a different flavor of ice cream (they have about 10 different flavors). We picked cotton candy (that would be the 13 year old), cookie dough, and butter pecan. Super delicious. I'm sure we will go again. read more

Anytime I am in the area, this is one of the first places I think of for lunch. I love pretzel buns and this place has some of the freshest buns in the area. My favorite sandwich is actually a breakfast sandwich, but I get it for lunch. It has bacon, egg and cheese on a pretzel bun. Delicious! Friendly staff in a quaint cafe. You can purchase bakery and other goods on your way in or out. read more

Yummy every time I go. Love all the soup choices, and pretzel bun sandwiches. Friendly staff, clean place.

Kimmswick is a great area to walk around, check out the shops, and grab a bite to eat. The Dough Depot is a great restaurant in the heart of Kinmswick. If there is ever a wait for a table, you can peruse some of the nearby shops while you wait. I have been there a few times when there was no wait, which was nice. They have a decent menu and the ambiance is unique. The portions are good size and the prices are very reasonable. Today I got a combo with the mandarin orange salad and the roast beef and cheddar sandwich. I cannot speak highly enough about the salad. the poppyseed dressing was wonderful and the almonds have a delicious candied taste. The dressing was served on the side so you can control the amount you add (and there was plenty of it). The roast beef was also great and was served on tasty pretzel bread. It also came with a side of au jus. I was completely full after eating. The restaurant has a small shop in the front that sells a lot of Christmas decorations and some other items consistent with the shops in Kimmswick, such as flavored jams. read more

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience. The wait for a table wasn't too long, the food was fresh and tasty, our server was polite and professional, the prices were reasonable. The only complaint.. and it may keep me from coming back.. was the amount of disposable dishes they used.. plastic flatware and cups, etc. And when I asked for a refill on my tea, the server brought me a new plastic cup! What a waste! I'd up my review to five stars if they switched to real glasses and silverware. I understand that this may require some major changes in the back of house, but it's so wasteful! read more

Delicious every time!!! Great roast beef pretzel sandwich and scrumptious mandarin orange salad!!

Had the Madarin Orange salad with a hot ham and cheese sandwich. Quite possibly the best salad I have ever had (with a homemade strawberry vinegrette dressing). Sandwich was madr with homemade pretzel bread. Told the wife that if I ever became a vegetarian, I coule live off that salad. Not a chance though, since pork steaks, pork loin and bacon exists. Sandwich was very good yoo - prices very reasonable! read more
