Where you order right when you walk in the door

Such a cool place! They were very friendly and it was easy to place out to go order. Next time we will definitely be dinning in such a warm vibe. Food was good as well! We got the apple butter sandwich and the bruschetta and they were both very good. Highly recommend if your in the area and looking for a causal fun place to eat. They also have outside seating

This was a delicious find. My husband and I were going to eat somewhere else In Kimmswick but had to park a few blocks away. While walking to our previous destination we saw The Cheese Shack and decided, "why not?" I ordered the Fat Pig which is BBQ pulled pork on thick slices of grilled sourdough bread, cheese AND mac'n cheese. My husband had the grilled cheese and bacon. He expected his sandwich to have a little more bacon on it. Mine was delicious. There is plenty of indoor seating but since it's a beautiful day today, we sat out on the front porch. There are also several picnic benches on the lawn with umbrellas.

This is a food truck turned into a brick and mortar restaurant. They have done a nice job with branding, landscaping, and turning an old house into a cafe. I ordered a raspberry chipotle turkey grilled cheese sandwich and the fried Mac n cheese ball. They forgot to put the chipotle raspberry sauce on the sandwich, so I had to go back and ask for a side of that. Once I got that, my sandwich was very good and cooked to the perfect ooey gooey melted cheese doneness. The Mac n cheese ball was very good as well but I thought a little pricey for just one small cheese ball. Maybe 2 or 3 for $1.50 would be a better deal. They have a nice outdoor seating area, but the temperature was in the 90s on our visit so everyone was seated inside. The inside seating areas are pretty small and it was busy that day. One bathroom to share right in the main hall of the building that can get backed up as well. Overall, a good visit and will definitely be back to try other grilled cheeses.

It's the kind of place you instantly know you'll want to return to. This was our first time here and we were go glad we made the little trip down to Bourbon, MO! We ordered the bacon and egg panini, and it was cooked perfectly. Whatever homemade seasoned butter they use deserves special recognition--it added so much flavor and made an already great sandwich even better. Of course, the dessert case was impossible to ignore. Everything looked incredible, and choosing was no easy task. We finally settled on a pecan brownie and a sea-salt chocolate chip gooey butter cake slice. Both were fantastic, but the gooey butter cake completely stole the show. Hands-down, it was the absolute best gooey butter cake I have ever had--and I've tried many from plenty of bakers over the years. This single slice may have changed my outlook on life. They've set the bar so high that I honestly don't know how anyone else could top it. Warmed up just as the owner suggested, it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a tender, flaky crust and incredible flavor. Absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be back again--and you should go too!

But other than that that's the only complaint that I have. Friendly staff, amazing food and drink. There's four shots in it so just FYI. Maybe don't drink it after 5:00 p.m. like I did but it was still worth it. The ambiance of this place is absolutely adorable with a rich emerald colored green chair and couch with nice cognac colored armchairs, and a nice fireplace at the head of the cafe gives a cozy and warm ambiance as well as the beautiful Christmas decorations that they had while I was there made it a place that a lot of people wanted to hang out. There were at least six other tables with friends and family just chatting which honestly led to a really nice sense of community which a lot of places in America don't have. And I found this place to be absolutely lovely and worth every penny. A true gem to Oakville!
