My mom got a regular coffee me which she loved and I tried the orange speciality drink (the name escapes me). The flavors were very powerful and a unique flavor for iced coffee I had not experienced before; I would order this again. The workers were kind and greeted us upon entering. Thank you a million times over for being open during the 5k! Every year we get bummed none of the shops are open following the event, you were a lifesaver for our post-race pick me up.

We almost didn't make this stop because of time, but I'm sure glad we did! Coming home from camping…read moreand this was an easy stop close off the highway. My husband was able to drop me at the door and then pull the truck and camper around the block and parked on the street across the road to wait for me. The store itself was bright, welcoming, and a good amount of seating. I didn't go into the back area but there were 2 cozy chairs up front by a big open window to sit and wait for my order. Fresh pastries and kolaches, scones, cookies displayed nicely in the front case. They didn't have sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches ready at the moment I was there, so we ended up ordering 3 bacon, egg, and cheese and 1 jalapeno sausage and cheese kolaches and everyone in my family thoroughly enjoyed them. We have an American kolache near us and everyone in the family said these were bigger and they enjoyed the taste of the dough much better. My son really enjoyed the jalapeno and cheese one. It was perfect for him B/c he doesn't like eggs and loves the jalapeno kick. I am super picky with my cinnamon rolls. My favorite cinnamon roll ever was from Bumbleberry Inn outside Zion National Park. I am always on the search for a similar roll. I almost didn't get one as I prefer traditional and the ones left were a little small in size. For same pricing (much larger), I opted to get one of their strawberry ones and try it out. It was very satisfactory. Nice and soft, good gooey center, and they use a fresh strawberry compote. It also tasted like it had maybe lemon zest or juice in it to add a pop of citrus. Flavor was spot on and I'll gladly get a cinnamon roll here again. I ordered a large Berry Sweet Smoothie to split between my 3 kids and they all loved the flavor. I loved that it was fresh and simple, clean ingredients-strawberries, bananas, Greek yogurt and milk. We try to avoid dyes and preservatives so I had reached out on fb messenger, maybe 20 minutes prior when I found the location on the map, and asked about things we may be able to order. I'm assuming it was the owner who replied, but she was quick to reply and assure me everything except the jello items were without. The girls on front staff confirmed they used a strawberry compote on the cinnamon roll and went over ingredients in the smoothie. This is much appreciative! I know it takes extra time and questions they usually don't get, but I'm very much an ingredient mom so I don't visit restaurants/bakeries often. I'm very appreciative of the ones that help me review ingredients! I also noticed they use Monin syrups and many of these are dye free so I know on our next visit if my kids would like a coffee drink, I'd be able to order them one! Okay and then lastly, the coffee...and truly main reason I stopped. They are working on a coffee menu, so I couldn't prepare what to order ahead of time. I'm very basic and don't do syrups, but my favorite drink is a flat white. I was a little nervous they wouldn't know how to make it but when I asked, she said she could definitely do that. The drink was a little low on the amount in cup but I assume that is because of how it is made. Certain drinks just have less ratio. My other worry is that the milk will always overwhelm the espresso flavor. This was balanced perfectly. I didn't feel like I was just drinking steamed milk foam. I could taste the espresso and it was a good, smooth flavor. I would for sure order this again. The only thing I might ask for next time is maybe just fill the rest of the cup space with some brewed coffee. Highly, highly would recommend making this a regular place if you are local or making it a designated stop, like we will, if you are a couple hours away. This will now be a forever stop when we are traveling to campsites in the area! Thank you to the Baked and Brewed team!

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday morning and Mandy provided amazing customer service from the moment we walked in. This is my husband's favorite breakfast. The biscuits and sausage gravy were amazing, in my husband's expert opinion. ( having consumed this dish almost everywhere) I had 'just avocado toast' (their no egg version) and it was very good. I suspect the bread was freshly baked and not from a commercial bakery. Now let's talk about the important thing. The coffee. They have a coffee, hot or iced called the 'Sweet Bourbon Brew'. I figured I was unlikely to get freshly roasted coffee with bourbon syrup from the nearby distillery anywhere else and went for it. It is AMAZING. I would come back just for this. Now, the restaurant itself. Live music on a Saturday morning. Kitschy, eclectic decor that was obviously quite intentional, and a DOLLY PARTON CORNER that has obviously existed for quite some time. Their motto appears to be a Dolly Parton quote. "If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours". Yes. It's that kind of place. They also seem to be attempting to control their carbon footprint.

It's the kind of place you instantly know you'll want to return to. This was our first time here and we were go glad we made the little trip down to Bourbon, MO! We ordered the bacon and egg panini, and it was cooked perfectly. Whatever homemade seasoned butter they use deserves special recognition--it added so much flavor and made an already great sandwich even better. Of course, the dessert case was impossible to ignore. Everything looked incredible, and choosing was no easy task. We finally settled on a pecan brownie and a sea-salt chocolate chip gooey butter cake slice. Both were fantastic, but the gooey butter cake completely stole the show. Hands-down, it was the absolute best gooey butter cake I have ever had--and I've tried many from plenty of bakers over the years. This single slice may have changed my outlook on life. They've set the bar so high that I honestly don't know how anyone else could top it. Warmed up just as the owner suggested, it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a tender, flaky crust and incredible flavor. Absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be back again--and you should go too!
