Very disappointed in the service. Orders not cooked in order as received there were 2 large orders after ours was placed that received their food. They nickel and dime for sauces, refills, lettuce wrapped hamburgers instead of bread etc. The food is over cooked and they really don't care. The chicken fingers were sent back the first time and still looked burnt the second time. Staff very rude with attitude like if you are bothering them for requests. Unfortunately it will be the last time we come here. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Douglas or Ruby's you will be better off. read more

I've lived in Whittier nearly two years now and just recently tried DOUBLZ... don't be a fool like me. Jump in for some great burgers and fries :) The chili cheese fries are a must have. The one thing I've noticed in their preparation is they'd use a to-go box, fill it up w/ fries, pile on the chili, and on the underside of the lid of the box they'd stack it up w/ cheese. Once the box closes the cheese and chili create the perfect FUSION. I've had plenty of chili cheese fries and Doublz ranks right at the top. However, today's economy is what makes Doublz really special. The pricing here is GREAT... they have a 99 cent 1/4 lb burger... what does a dollar get you at McD's? A McDouble which is about half the size. Great food at a portion of the price of other mom's and pop's in the area is what makes Doublz VERY special. For 10 dollars you're able to get the chili cheese fries and the breakfast burrito... other places you're looking at a good 1-3 dollars more. Same deliciousness, less price? GREAT! I haven't had a chance to try the breakfast here... if the breakfast scores the way the burgers score then Doublz will rocket up the top of the list for me as far as "diner" food here in Whittier. I don't know where to start. The cashier was rude and emotionless felt like it was a bother to order food. Second I paid for sour cream and thousand islands which I didn't get I had to get up and ask for it, only gave us one fork for three different meals and a small chili cheese fries which is just dumb. I've been waiting for awhile to go here, the ads I've seen look great! Definitely not what I got today, I went through the drive through a bit of a rush and ordered the family pack I believe it's called and and side of (ccf) burgers were mehh I asked for well done none were. The CCF were practically just cheese. If I didn't have to go to work I would of went back and asked for a refund. Sadly this just wasn't the place for me. Thought I will give this place a try for a romantic Valentines dinner with my better half and was really surprised, with a very friendly staff we ordered 2 Bacon Cheeseburger combos on the drive through and on our way home, the smell coming out of the bag was just too tempting, so we started munching on our fries, they were really good! We must have ate a good amount before we got home and to our surprise, when we unpacked everything there were still a lot of fires left, what a generous amount they give you for the price! Our burgers were VERY good, perfectly made, no excess lettuce or runny tomato, just a very well crafted tasty, thick bacon burger.. I really enjoyed this place and will be back soon.. Doublz is one of those places that I like to affectionately call "fat kid heaven". Everything is served in more than plentiful portions and most of it is fried or covered in cheese. No one said it was going to be healthy, but that's why you come to Doublz. Their menu has a little bit of everything, from big burgers to burritos and salads big enough to satisfy the hungriest of appetites. The prices are fairly average, rarely going over ten bucks a person. They also have different variations of "family meals" that are an especially good deal. They're fries are unusually good, either on their own with seasoning salt or slathered with chili and cheese. Service is average, as I've never had an issue, but no one has really ever gone out of there way for me either. The only real complaint that I have with this location is that the restroom is outside, in the back, next to the drive thru. It's really inconvenient, and also in need of a clean up. read more

Attention people the cooks at this location are very dirty and have poor hygiene. I ordered some breakfast and stood there observing the cooks work. I was baffled and dismayed to see the cook touch his sweaty face and NOT wash his hands afterwards. He continued to cook and handle food without washing his hands let alone wearing NO gloves.
