We stayed here for two nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean, and everything in the room worked well. The staff was friendly, and we felt comfortable during our stay. The amenities were up to par, and the location was convenient for our needs. It felt like a solid choice for a short stay. However, the jacuzzi was a bit of an issue. Since it's February, we decided to use it twice, but the bottom of the jacuzzi was very slippery, which made us feel unsafe. I nearly slipped and fell in both times we used it. It was definitely a concern and something the hotel could improve to make the experience safer and more enjoyable for guests.

The DoubleTree was our first stop on our roadtrip. This DoubleTree is an older, yet remodeled property. We were checked in by Brianna. We were upgraded to a pool view room. However, since it was on the second floor, my wife rejected the upgrade and instead were given a room with a great view of the roof along with the solar panels up there. Not a big deal since we arrived late and it was too dark for us to see anything and left early the next day. The room itself was adequate. It had a king bed as we reserved. There was a large screen TV. It had a lot of table space for work. There was no clock in my room. Management said that there is normally a clock there. The bathroom was normal for a hotel. The shampoo, conditioner and soap were from Crabtree and Evelyn. Breakfast is complimentary for Hilton Gold and above members and was served downstairs at the Sycamore Tap and Table. Gold members and above are given $15 in dining credit where you could either choose the buffet, or the menu. Overall it was a good one night stay. I was able to get a good night sleep to drive the next day.

Visiting family in Chico, CA - this hotel priced reasonable. Although, bathroom small... It is clean and seems newly renovated. The room...good size and fortunate to have at least a pool and solar panels view. Good to know... management conscious of environment as well as saves in electric consumption. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Easy access and close to shopping area. If you are visiting Chico, CA... highly recommend to consider.

In mid July, drove into the Hilton Doubletree in Chico California, without reservations. Since it was not during a school move in/out or holiday, they actually had a room at a reasonable rate. Paid $120 with my Auto Club discount. Yay! Pros: Great front desk service Nice size room, with a large King bed and TV. Room included a refrigerator and coffee maker. Bathroom fixtures were nice, shower was huge. Staff working in the lobby restaurant during dinner and breakfast were very, very nice! Cons: Room 427 was far, at the end of a long hallway. The door lock was really bad, it had obviously been forced open at one point. There was a huge gap between the frame and lock.. way to wide to the point i considered asking for another room. (But didn't want to walk all the way back.). The door handle was also installed improperly. You have to lift up on the handle instead of push down. I asked them to repair the door and handle at check out the next morning. (Front desk staff said, oh we have a lot of handles where you have to lift up :). See pic of door gap. "Note: My room 427, was the only room down the entire 4th floor hallway that had the door gap issue. " Air Conditioner was extremely loud, and no way to control it.

Overall, I had an average experience for my one night stay here. There is tooth brush and tooth paste available upon request at the front desk. The hotel has sanitizing wipes in their lobby and there is free parking. I heard DoubleTree is known for their complimentary warm cookie, I wasn't offered one during check in, but I asked later on and they gave me one. The cookie was good. Unfortunately, there is no complimentary breakfast and no microwave in the room. During the day, the weather is in the 90s. The thermostat for the AC unit in my room wasn't working but good thing the manual setting on it still worked. During the evening and morning that I was there, the business center with two computers were not working and couldn't print.

    Excellent bathroom

Every now and then the universe makes sense. Like when you check-in at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chico, and Tess greets you with a warmth and kindness. From there, you find a renovated room and nice bathroom which are way above average. The fitness room is well appointed and clean. Excellent property! 5-stars!

    Lobby. Love these wood dividers!!!!!

This visit we were in room 427 and it's showing wear and tear unfortunately. It's still a go to hotel at this point, but it's not getting 5 stars this visit. There was also an issue with the morning lady giving us the diamond credit after the young lady at check in told us we had credit. It got fixed as we knew it would, but it sucks to be made to feel the way we felt in front of a line of people. Again, we will stay again and still recommend it!

    Warm delicious cookie.

Stayed two nights three days they don't supply a Jacuzzi or bottled water. They are of no help to keep the noise down.

We have really enjoyed our stay at the holiday inn. My husband and I decided to stay in Chico as we…read morewere getting ready for the birth of our third child. We were having to go back-and-forth to the hospital for induction reasons.. When I called to make a reservation, whoever I spoke to was very kind and accommodating, and was able to get a King standard room on top floor and a quiet area so we could all get lots of good rest. The room.. very large. We were quite impressed with the layout, thoughtful design and how large the room was. We've been in plenty of hotels, and this is the first time I've ever seen a standard room as big as this one. The staff overall was really nice and accommodating. Some went above and beyond while others just did their job and that's fine too. Breakfast... It was really nice to have it available especially because we had to get up early each morning to head to the hospital. I do wish consistency was a little bit better. The first morning we had scrambled eggs, which were not the best and I didn't care about the potatoes. They didn't have much flavor. But the bacon (1st day) was good and the cinnamon rolls were good and so were the pancakes. I also liked that they had lots of other options. If you didn't care for the hot options, they had fresh fruit, milk, and juice, oatmeal, bagels, and muffins, etc. They had coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider, and tea, ready to go The second day was a little bit puzzling, but I enjoyed breakfast better. I preferred their cheese omelette, turkey, sausage, hash, brown, and biscuits and gravy on the second day . The other interesting part was the bacon on the second day was very different than the bacon on the first day. I think if there was more consistency with quality than I think customers Would appreciate it . Cinnamon rolls are pretty good though! They offer laundry services so bring quarters and they offer detergent in their little shop. They also have a pool and a gym. Overall, the hotel was really quiet inside and outside, even though you're by lots of other building buildings. There are plenty of places to walk to and go eat and there's a major grocery store next-door. Our hotel room had refrigerator and microwave. Everything looked clean and very updated as it is a new hotel. The biggest takeaways from me was the size of the room in the layout, some of the breakfast items, and some of the staff were very accommodating. The only Con I really had was the inconsistency with breakfast and the quality. But for not having to pay for breakfast, I thought it was a good deal.
