Simple lunch spot down the road from my office. It tends to be frequented by the locals a lot. They have lunch specials every day and I feel they vary in value. Monday's chicken tenders are a bit small for the price, I waited a long time for it, and the sauces were no different than fast food. Tuesday's burger special is their most popular special, and is really good. You can also get double meat with it for just a bit more! I feel Wednesday's cheesesteak special is a bit overpriced for what you're getting - they aren't really true Philly cheesesteaks, but rather more like pizza steaks of basic hoagie rolls. Thursday's half Ace (italian) hoagie is pretty good. The Friday BBQ special is a bit underwhelming as it's just pork simmered in sauce on a bun, but still good for the price. They also have a full bar with plenty of TVs. Overall a good lunch place with (mostly) reasonable prices. read more

I seriously love the idea and concept of this place. The food is classic and simple, i love how the kids can run around outside while the adults have a few beer (the main reason I go there) but I have a huge issue with the service. I have gone 3 times in the last 2 months probably and it's always the same blondes working. But this last time really bothered me. I walk in with my friend and our kids and she's at the bar taking care of other guests which is fine but 15 mins goes by she didn't even acknowledge us or say hi or ask for a drink order. I go up to the bar and say "should I order over here at the bar or do you come to the table?" And she says well since it was just raining you order at the bar.... like ok I get that it was raining for 5 mins but it would've been nice to if she just like shouted from the bar "hey guys when you're ready to order I can help you up here" we were being legit IGNORED. So by that time we knew what to drink and eat lol when we got our food she didn't ask us how it was or anything she just ignored us again. I'm a server and I believe that being nice and welcoming to the customers is very important. I just can't believe people like that have jobs. Maybe she profiled us and thought we would be rude people because were 2 younger moms but whatever who knows. This happens every time I go there, the girls are just rude unless it's a nice family of 5 or something because I have observed the way they treated others around us. I probably won't come back there for a while because I feel uncomfortable and ignored. read more

They have a food truck at Oars & Paddles Park and it's great if you need something after a few hours on the water. Cheeseburger was A+++. The park has a pavilion with tables to eat at. Next time I'm getting the corn dog. read more

Doubles is our go-to for a quick lunch or takeout. The hoagies are awesome, the racquet fries are fantastic, the Havana salad is also one of my favorites. It's clean, lively (read= loud, a good place to take kids!) and the kids who work there are always nice and polite. Don't let the location fool you - it's attached to a hotel - but it's a great local spot. read more

And that is all day and night on Tuesday. You will be hard pressed to find a better burger! They also have excellent salads: Garden, Greek and Cuban which come in small or large. The chicken cheese steak was SO good, but, those sweet potato waffle fries with the sauce, those, THOSE are amazing! Really wanted to love the new location as much as the old, but after 2 tries, it's just not great. The prices really went up a lot. They no longer offer two sizes for all salads and the regular size with mahi is now $11 and doesn't look or taste that great. Veggie burger was way overcooked and so dried out. It used to be delicious. Buns aren't good anymore either. Doesn't feel warm and friendly inside. I REALLY hope they take the community's suggestions and input into consideration and make some much needed adjustments. It has the potential and location to be great. read more

Doubles has very excellent food, very excellent price, very excellent price; Doubles is probably the only restaurant that I will give this grade. Doubles has hot and cold sandwiches, salads, smoothies, desserts, bar food and two full bars. It is the type of family oriented restaurant that hosts little league get-togethers. There is a small arcade and three well used pool tables. I have been eating at Doubles for about 24 years. Doubles performance is so strong that near by restaurants cannot compete, most recently the demise of Quiznos. The prices are uniformly low. The drinks are priced as low as all the food items. My personal favorites are salads, fries, smoothies, soft serve yogurt, cheese steak and tuna hoagie ... And oh yes, brownies on Fridays only. I and most of my neighbors eat there for both lunch and dinner. read more

The two stars is for the food. If you're looking for a nice, casual bar with cold beer and good drinks at good prices, I'd give it three or four stars. The service at the bar has been very good the last two times that I've gone, and I was't disappointed in the way they pour a drink. So if you're looking for a nice local bar that offers okay food, then you won't be disappointed. However, one day around lunchtime, I was in the mood for a cheese steak sandwich, and I found myself very close to Double's. I remembered that there was one on the menu, so I thought I'd give it a try. Eh . . . it was just okay - not really what I would call an authentic cheesesteak - not much flavor. After a few bites, I wished I had gone a little farther north to Little Phillies's. Similar thing happened this afternoon. I was in the mood for a meatball sub, and my route was taking me right past Double's. I ordered the sub to go, and it came out hot and quick with no problem (around $6.75 for a "large"). It comes with cheese (provalone, I think) and you can add onions, so I did. It smelled good, and looked good (if a little smaller than the name "large" suggests). But the first bite told me that the meatballs were of the frozen supermarket variety -- the kind you get in a bag in the frozen section of Wal-Mart or Publix (good for crock pot Swedish meatballs but not much else). Again, I wished that I had gone just a little further east to Brano's or Bizzarro's for a real Meatball sub. I have no reason to doubt that their Deli subs are good, though I haven't tried them. On the bright side, I think Double's may be the only bar/restaurant in Brevard that still has pinball machines. They also have a few other arcade style games and two pool tables. So it's a family -friendly place if you want to take the kids. Also, could somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they used to serve Pizza five or six years ago? Also, didn't "Double's'" used to be on the other side of South Patrick in the little strip mall? read more

Stopped in to watch FSU play football and enjoyed a couple of beers (Landshark), prompt friendly service, polite patrons and medium teriyaki wings. And they were just medium. Not all that tasty. Sauce needs a tweak. But altogether a good place to watch college football, drink beer and eat wings. read more

Somehow this place ended up being an Eagles meeting place during football season, so we go here often to join in on watching the games. Fun atmosphere. Food is great; not your typical greasy, fried bar food. Their hoagies are delish and stuffed with meat! You can't beat their prices, super inexpensive! Great beer specials- the $1 beer choice changes weekly. My only complaint is that it's not really waiter service. It's counter service, but they try to accommodate with waiter service during the games.. but we usually end up having to get up to order at the counter. read more

Classic Brevard county food, its been around for a long time and will stay around for a long time. Their wraps are the best as well as most everything they serve here. I went a few months ago on a friday for the BBQ special. It was ok. Place is quite dated...the springs were busted in the seat of the booth. Self serve place. Fries were good. BBQ was ok.
