Oh let me tell you about this experience I called at 8. Yes I understand they close at 9 but I was only 5 miles away. Asked for delivery and the gentleman man told me it would be one hour to a hour and a half do to road conditions. Really? I had been outside all day the weather never was that bad. Very disappointing experience! We called and ordered 6 pizzas and some wings. The guy on the phone advised it would be an hour. Another person in the background could be heard telling the worker on the phone that it would be a 2 to 3 hour way due to it being such a large order and with the delivery. The tone was rude. We offered to do carryout instead and were told it would still be over 2 hours. It really wasn't that large of an order. It felt like they were being put out, yet the food industry is a customer service based business. Even if it was an unusually busy night, it shouldn't have been that we were bothering them. Sigh.... We have eaten at other Doubledaves locations however it has been several years. But I remember loving the pepperoni rolls. We decided to order a large meat eaters and some pepperoni rolls. The pizza was extreme mediocre. The meat was good, the sauce and cheese were very meh and the crust was like cardboard. The pepperoni rolls were awesome. So we may order again to try to regular thick crust, maybe some more veggies, but as far as the pizza goes it was not good. read more

We've eaten at DoubleDave's twice since the new management took over, and both times were great. New management has turned this into a great pizza joint, there is plenty on the buffet, the restaurant is clean, and the staff cares. The owner took the time to take away our dirty dishes, and his attention to detail showed in every aspect of the restaurant. Bottom line: this is the best pizza joint in Midland. If you gave up on the old management, I recommend you give it another shot. read more

Let me first say that this review is written based only on customer service and false advertising. Having arrived late to my hotel (I am a flight attendant) and learning that eat in restaurants in the area close at 9pm, the front desk recommended that I call this place. She said they deliver until 10. I looked them up on yelp, made my menu choice and called at exactly 9:22. The person on the phone said that they were "past their delivery time". I explained that the website said that they are delivery and open till 10. He explained that that is only when they are at "full staff". I explained my situation and that I was pretty desperate for food and he said, "Whataburger's open". Once again, I am at a hotel with no vehicle. Thanks man. Way to represent your restaurant. This place has some really great pizza, but I would advise eating in instead of having them deliver. I have completely stopped ordering from here for delivery because it has taken over two hours the past several times and they don't seem to think it's anything out of the ordinary. Sorry, but I don't want to wait 2 1/2 hours for cold pizza. Don't bother complaining either, because instead of giving you a refund, the manager wants you to come have dinner at the restaurant with them for free. I'd rather just have a refund. Complaints about the delivery service aside, it's a nice place to eat inside. It's clean with the typical pizza restaurant atmosphere with a salad bar and tvs to watch sports. Well I placed an order online at 7:23 pm. It was delivered at 9:40 pm. I made 2 calls to the store, once at 8:30 when I was told it would be "20 minutes, well more like 15" without an apology or explanation; the second call at 9 pm when they told me they had an hour and a half wait but the delivery driver had left 30 minutes before so it shouldn't be much longer...still no apology or explanation. I had tried to pay online with my Visa but I got an error message so I figured I pay the driver. He was unable to process a credit card and they do not take checks so I had to call my payment in. I ordered a deep dish, which I did not get, and the crust was soggy (probably from rinsing around in the delivery car for so long). I'm new to midland and have heard that there is no where in town with good service or competent workers. I'm sorry to say that I am finding that too true. I felt super bad for the delivery guy. We went on a Wednesday night buffet night. The salad bar was a mess and bugs were flying around under the glass. There was no silverware & when I asked for a fork, I received a cheap plastic one. The window that allows one to look into the kitchen was filthy. A young man was sweeping the floors with a dust mop and then used the same mop to sweep out the booths. The employees had no gumption - they just trudged around with no sense of urgency. I heard people request the same pizza multiple times for the buffet with no response. The restrooms were very unkept. On a positive note, the fresh pizza & stromboli that finally came out were very good! Overall though, a disappointing experience. read more

Just ordered delivery. I didn't know what to expect, being from Upstate New York. I was very happy with the speedy delivery, the price and the quality of the pizza (it wasn't as good as NY but was tasty). What I was most impressed with was the delivery person.
