absolutely amazing front worker named Jayden experience wonderful and very welcoming! Will be bringing the family again!

Great pizza. The pizza crust was crispy and good. Toppings were evenly distributed throughout. The new owner stopped by our table. Great experience. read more

Ignored me and made me wait five minutes, then served another guy that had just walked in. He got his pizza and I waited for 20 more minutes until I walked up to the counter. She pulled my pizza out of the warmer and handed it to me. I had been sitting there waiting, in an almost empty restaurant and she had walked past me multiple times. And still my pizza sat in the warmer for who knows how long. Then it was missing a topping. Don't go here. read more

We showed up for the pizza buffet, which was quite tasty. The thing about the buffet is that it is self-serve, meaning I do not have a waitress. When I payed, I was asked about a tip being added to my bill. As I have no idea what the service will be like BEFORE my experience, I choose to leave cash on the table when I tip in these situations. HOWEVER, in this case I left NONE. When the person taking my money for the buffet saw that I placed no tip on my card, I got a "tsk" and an eyeroll. Y'all....tips are a reward for good service, not an expectation. Certainly never give a customer guff over a tip BEFORE the meal. I am an extremely good tipper, but you lost me on this one. ...and there was NO service provided to anyone in the restaurant, as dirty plates were stacked high on everyones table and the "empty" tables were being used as dropoff points for customers who wanted the plates off their tables. Self-serve, self-clean, and she wonders why there was no tip! read more

I remember years ago when DDs arrived in DFW. The Honey Wheat crust was a thing of beautiful deliciousness. That time is gone. Long gone. On an evening in Midland, TX, I reminisced on earlier times and decided to make the one meal that I eat a day, a pizza from DDs. I chose wrong. The crust was bland and dry and the canned pineapple was a disgrace to canned pineapple, no real need to get into the rest of the pizza, it wasn't good. Meanwhile, I glance into the two giant windows of the kitchen and what do I see? Staff members throwing dough at one another. Yes, an impromptu food fight in the kitchen. Confirmation that I made a bad food choice. The salad was ok and the young lady who took my order was nice. 2 Stars. read more

Ordered $150 worth of food through GRUB HUB. Did not receive a large specialty pizza or pizza rolls. When I called the manager at DD's he said there was nothing he could do because I ordered through grub hub and that they had no idea what my order was , I made it literally 45 minutes prior. He said for all they knew the driver stole it and I had to call grub hub . He did not offer to help at all and even insinuated it was the fault of the driver which was very unprofessional of him to do , we have had this GH driver several times and he is always fast and the food is always in tact . This is our first and last time with Dave's and the food we received was mediocre at best . read more

MOST of the time we get really good pizzas from Double Daves in Midland and last week we got a very good pizza! However; today I ordered our normal "The Works" and it showed up to the house and was def not the works but instead, a meat eaters pizza. A few olives is what the veggies consisted of so I called. I was told by the man that answered (I believe he said his name was Eddie), that he made that pizza himself and it was a works pizza. I took a pic and it was not but he was going to argue with me so I said ok fine. Pizza was very over cooked as well. Double Dave's is expensive but we like it so don't ever mind paying for good pizza and good service but this time that is not what we got and he didn't want to even hear me out about the problem. read more

I'm sadly having to update my review, it was definitely one of our go-to places in town but I have recently ordered and none of the staff (front or back) were wearing masks. People in the back cutting and boxing food with NO MASK OR GLOVES Absolutely unacceptable these days. We will not be ordering again any time soon. We didn't get sick the last time we ordered but we definitely don't feel like rolling the dice again. read more

Ordered a Pizza online through their website and was delivered the wrong pizza. When I called them about the pizza they would not refund my money to my card and offered me store credit instead. I will not do business with them again if this is how they treat customers. Don't do business with this location. Edit - When I called about the store credit they offered, I was told it would be 15 - 20 minutes for Pizza Rolls. An hour later, nothing has arrived. This DD is the worst I have encountered. read more

Good pizza. We had a large pepperoni and a side order of cinnasticks. I believe this was our first time trying. We'll be back in the future.

Wasn't too sanitary & I mean the employees & cooks that is. Pizza was super under cooked. Took forever. But this was before covid so maybe it's better now. read more

I cannot wait to go back! Pizza yummy! The place was so clean, salad bar had all fresh items (later on in afternoon:) Salad bar area was clean. Pool table, foosball table, several flat screens w/ sports. The staff was nice & attentive. Thank you! Pitchers of beer would be useful. Not sure if they offer them? read more

My husband and I were passing through Midland on a motorcycle trip. We stayed at a nearby hotel and wanted dinner at a place we could walk to from the hotel. We ordered a classic veggie pizza with traditional crust. You order at a counter but they bring your pizza and drinks to the table. The pizza was served quickly. The crust was crispy and the toppings were crispy. We washed it down with a small pitcher of local beer. read more

My wife and I go here on Wednesday nights to take advantage of the pizza and salad bar buffet. Food is pretty good and the staff keep a regular rotation of a different variety of pizzas to choose from. Plus, $1 drafts on Wednesday nights can't be beat. read more

Expensive, bland and they got my order wrong the last time l ordered. I will not be spending any more money here. Gave them two chances and both times l had the same experience. Mediocre cheaply thrown together pizza and WAY over priced for what l got. read more

New favorite pizza spot in town. Never had an issue with service or the food. Every once in awhile I get the lunch buffet. Can't go wrong with pizza, dessert and salad. It has an old sports bar feel to it which is nice. The online app is a bit of hassle but it's worth it loyalty points :) read more

First time eating here, came here with the fam. You grab your own menu and fill out your order and walk up to the register. There were no pens. No one there to greet you. Looked around and everyone was eating the lunch buffet. I had a gift card to use so I wanted to sit down and order different items. I wanted to try the chicken pesto sandwich, but they were out of Pesto. We ordered a large works pizza, small cheese pizza, 7 hot wings, and a phlily cheese steak sandwich. The cheessteak sandwich was so salty and the bread was all burnt. The large pizza was decent. The hotwings were average, I was hungry so I ate the whole thing. I may come back again and try a different pizza. They took about 35 mins to get our food to us. read more

My boyfriend and I were here to watch his granDson play All-Stars LL Football in Midland. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decideed to order a pizza from a different pizza place. I haven't been a few years because we had a bad experience. We gave them another try at lunch and we were all pleased. The pizza was fresh and they kept the bar stocked. We will be returning!! I will say though the chairs probably need to be updated they were all kinda wobbly but that would be my only complaint. read more

Glad to see Midland get a Double Dave's location. When I was living in the Spring, Tx, I was introduced to Double Dave's Pizza and really enjoyed it. The pepperoni rolls are good, but their meat lovers is the way to go. Go give this Texas Pizza joint a shot, it's much better than Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut or Little Cesars. read more

Placed my order online and by the time I got to the restaurant it was ready to go so that's a big plus. However, the pizza itself is rather average. Didn't have a lot of sauce, the slices didn't hold up under their own weight, and the flavor was pretty much indistinguishable from many chain pizza places. The pizza rolls were a bit lackluster too, they felt like too much dough and not enough filling. The concept is good but the execution is average overall. Service was great though! read more

One of my coworker friends asked me if I wanted to go eat all you can eat pizza. I was hesitant when I heard all you can eat pizza, because that usually means all you can eat cardboard. I trusted my friend though because he likes to eat. I like to eat. Let's go. Yoooo. The pizza buffet here is legit hahaha. The sauce on the pizzas are pretty darn good!! The crust isn't the best but eh I was satisfied. The pizza wasn't dry or overcooked. Just tasted like fresh pizza. It cost me $12.99 to eat lunch with a drink. Not bad! Best of all, they had Hawaiian pizza in the buffet. You neeeever see that. All you pineapple on pizza haters out there, pineapple on pizza is the best okay? Lololo. You can also ask the staff for a pizza that you want and they will make it for you. So if you don't see that Hawaiian pizza, just ask! They also have dessert pizza. I tried the cinnamon pizza and the chocolate chip cookie pizza. Sweet and scrumptious, great way to end the pizza stuffing party. read more

Bland wings, blue cheese had no taste. Extra pizza toppings requested not given. Won't order again.

This is literally a Cici's pizza but with less options to chose from. The pizza looked like it was sitting out for hours.. very dissatisfying taste to say the least. $14 for crappy pizza... I definitely won't be back. read more

This pizza was the best I've had ever. The delivery was fast, the pizza was hot, which hardly ever happens! The toppings were generous and well placed. The crust was yummy and golden brown, not burnt. I will definitely make Double Daves my go-to place for pizza. Delicious We tried the Pizza rolls and they didn't disappoint. Once again, delicious!! read more

We ordered the pizza, showed up around 30 minutes, husband paid and they read the order to him. They said 20-40 more minutes. We waited for 2 hours for a new girl to come and say they lost the ticket and she was sorry. She then said they lost the order twice. Even though they read him the order. After 2 hours, we got a refund and will not be returning. read more

Recently, I was ruminating on that fact that there's no place in Midland to go sit down and have pizza and a few beers. Then I discovered Double Daves. The pizza pretty decent, not the best I've had but probably the best since moving to West Texas, but it's the fantastic beer selection that usually draws us here. Great microbrews from around the country in both bottles and on tap. You can get a bucket of bottles or a pitcher and hang out. There's plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game and it's not usually too busy. You do have to deal with families with kids who run around a lot, but it's pretty tolerable. The pepperoni cheese roll things are tasty and the "deep" dish pizza is better than the hand tossed. Check the website for daily specials and you can end up with a $8 large made to order. They also have great delivery! read more

Midland is not a town known for its restaurant scene. Its especially not known for good pizza. After suffering through many bad pizzas in Midland, we stumbled upon Double Daves. This is probably the best pizza you're going to find in Midland. They offer thin, hand-tossed and deep dish crusts. I usually get the hand-tossed and ask them to cook it a little longer to get it crispy. Check out their website for daily specials. They have an AUCE pizza buffet on Wednesday nights which seemed to be extremely popular the night we were there. Double Daves also offers a salad bar and a selection of beers. read more

Now, I've had better pizza in my life, and I've been to better places. But, this Double Dave's gets 5 stars for the whole experience. I just moved in around the corner, and went to pick up a pizza. While I was waiting on the pizza, I decided to have a look at the beers. The guy there said I could have one, free of charge, to try if I'd like. Well, thank you sir. Then, the pizza comes and was much better than expected. You give me a free beer and good pizza, and are just around the corner from my house. That deserves 5 stars to me. Midland is an oil town, and in the middle of an oil boom. The good workers are employed by the oil companies. That said, the service was less than impressive. An hour before closing and it's obvious we are interrupting their clean up. Cashier was stacking chairs, sweeping the floor and didn't bother to remove his earbuds when taking our food order. Rock music got cranked up more than you would expect when you walked in with your kids. I've never been to a Double Daves Pizza. The food itself was decent and the shopping-center pizzeria is clean enough. Are you looking for lunch with your oilfield buddies? This is the right place for you guys. Did you roll in to Midland late with your family? Get the pizza "to go". read more
