I think an outside range feels safer than an indoor range in general. Also, having a variety of set ups available for shooting is fantastic. As long as you adhere to the rules, you can set up almost any course of fire you want. I've always had a positive shooting experience at South River but I wouldn't become a member for many reasons. It's really far from my house. Also, I'm not sure how comfortable they are with Black people. I've visited many times since that first time and sometimes it's uncomfortable the way they watch us. I had an issue with my bolt carrier group in my AR pistol so I came to GA Firing line to have their team look at it. I was thinking I'd have to drop it off and have it back in a week or two. But, after my recent sub=par experience receiving an FFL transfer here, I am not a happy customer. As a point of reference. I have done scores of FFL transfers at businesses all over the state and am well-versed in how long it should take. This transfer, however, at Main Street Guns & Range took an entire hour. Yes, an entire hour for a 15-minute (tops) process. In his defense, the employee doing the transfer was also helping another customer with what appeared to be a complicated purchase. But there were several other employees present who it, seems, could have come over and pitched in to help out. But they didn't, and I stood there for an hour. After this experience I do not believe I will ever have any future FFL transfers sent to this business, my time is too valuable to me to do so.
