The environment is welcoming for a little one who is easily stressed. We have Coach John, who I can't say enough positive things about, his patience soars to the sky. He has gained my son's trust and always finds a way to make him successful. There is nothing more rewarding as a parent watching my son get out of the water beaming with pride because he accomplished a skill that he thought was unobtainable. I was surprised to read the post on here describing a terrible trip to Crystal River, Florida. We were on the same trip and had a completely opposite experience. We had a memorable and fantastic time. I appreciated the time that Coach John and the owners of Sharkie's prepared us with a well thought out itinerary and for insuring that we had all the equipment necessary. On the day of each activity, I knew exactly where to go and never had to run out to get something we forgot to bring. The particular weekend we visited was the annual Manatee festival so the area was quite busy. I appreciated the block of rooms set aside for us so I didn't have to worry about hotels being full. Coach John was thorough to explain everything to be expected that our son didn't shed a single tear out of fear. His expertise and passion for scuba has made my husband and son excited to participate in the sport. I always say, we are grooming the next Jacques Cousteau. Maybe I was just a tad bit more ready today?!…read moreNot really, I didn't want to leave the wall & would've been content practicing breathing today for my entire lesson. I was urged off the wall a few times by Coach Chris and the woman over the program (I think) & finally let go. Coach Chris is a great coach! He encouraged me & was very patient as I hesitantly followed his direction. I actually did 2 laps w/ the noodle focusing on kicks and breathing! That's the most progress I've had in a swim class in a 30-minute lesson! I guess I should note, this was a private lesson and previously I've taken group lessons. Either way, I gained the most progress and satisfaction from this one class than I have in the 4 group classes I've taken twice. I can't wait to see my progress at the end of the classes. The showers and changing areas are clean and adequate. Everyone from the front desk staff to the other personnel were friendly.

I was recently diagnosed with a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot, so no more CrossFit for the…read moreforeseeable future... But that does mean I can swim. Dynamo swimming complex is just around the corner from my office and offers a wonderful swimming facility to swim at. Hours - I have to say that usually swimming pools have no available open swim hours so they are never convenient to use. No Dynamo. They are usually open for any type of drop in 1030-3pm (330 on some days). That is a ton of time! Facility - is huge! There is a smaller indoor lessons pool (88 degrees) and an indoor competition pool (79-80 degrees) that are always open during open swim. There is also a 50-m long course pool on site that opens seasonally I believe. There are multiple locker rooms with lots of showers and lockers. I think it is a wonderful spot. Cleanliness - The pool is always clean without ever a weird taste of chemicals. The locker rooms are always clean and never cluttered with stray clothes or baskets. Speaking of baskets, I love that they offer baskets for you to place your stuff in. Makes it very accommodating to get in and out of the locker room faster! Misc - There are available pull buoys and kick boards for your to use. There are never a lot of people in the pool when I come at lunch. I have never had to share a lane - once I had the entire competition pool to myself for a whole hour! Staff is always friendly. For a pool facility, I don't know what else you are looking for!

My son swam at Dynamo for three years, and I volunteered as an AO during several home meets. During…read morethat time, I was harassed by a male parent in the parking lot who was driving a blue Jaguar F-Pace SUV. The police were called, but the individual left before officers arrived. I immediately reported the incident to management and was told that several other female parents were familiar with this individual and that previous complaints had been filed. Staff assured me they would investigate the matter and address his threatening behavior. In the days that followed, while our children continued practicing four to six days per week, I observed the same parent continuing to negatively engage with other female parents at the facility with what appeared to be little or no consequence. Although the facility is modern and the coaching staff is skilled, I cannot recommend it based on my experience with its response to patron safety. A strong commitment to the safety and well-being of students, families, coaches, and volunteers should be a top priority, and I did not feel that this concern was handled appropriately.

After relocating to Johns Creek, we've attended this location for the past three weeks--and unfortunately, the quality has not matched what we previously experienced. The facility is noticeably outdated, with rusted benches in ALL of the changing stalls--something I find concerning, especially with my child barefoot in those areas. The amenities also feel neglected. The same worn coloring sheets have been out for weeks, and the provided markers don't work. These may seem like small details, but they matter when creating a welcoming environment for kids. At Briarcliff, the staff went the extra mile they had connect 4, cornhole and bubble machines going on the Entry and Exit of Class they even gifted the kids Ballons and sickers after EACH SESSION. My biggest concern is the lack of consistency in swim instructors. My son has had a different instructor EVERY session, making it difficult for anyone to assess his progress accurately. He's been with Big Blue since July 2024 and was thriving--yet here, they wanted to demote him back to the beginner class based on a single instructor's brief interaction. One instructor, in particular, was overly aggressive and even ripped a bandage from my son's finger during class without knowing what was underneath--an inappropriate and careless action, especially not knowing my son's sensitivity. To make matters worse, I was told I'd need to get in the water and teach my son the Bright 1 material MYSELF. If that's the expectation, I might as well be the instructor I find that request unacceptable due to the fact that I have spend over thousands of dollars with this company. I've since WITHDRAWN my son from this location, and he is now happily enrolled at Aqua TOTS. Based on our experience, I would NEVER recommend the Johns Creek location to other families.
