First time on Emory University Campus and of course it's for a swim meet. The pool was not on Yelp…read moreand I added. The pool is off the main drag through campus and has signage. Parking is by one of two garages if they open to visitors. Otherwise it's on surface a block away, not bad. For my event the garage was utilized and very convenient. Emory hosted the 2022 UAA Swim Conferences in February. Seven other schools were involved. Without hesitation Emory offers the best pool in the UAA. My son who swims for Washington University in Saint Louis was on the conference team. It was the first major event back since COVID struck. The spectator area is spacious and they never had an issue with ticketing which was more limited with mitigation. Mark were required. The negative was no back on the seats. The pool is a 50 meter with retractable bulkhead to run short course yard in college. They also offer diving with its own well. The deck is spacious. The building is probably 15 years old but kept up beautifully. It's connected to the recreation center. Washington University aka Washu came in third to Emory & Chicago. The Men and specifically Women's Emory squad is extremely strong year after year and has won multiple National Championships. The highlight of the meet was the Washu Men's 800 Free Relay winning their event setting a new school and conference record. It would be the only individual or relay the men would win the entire four day meet. My son Ryan swam the third leg. During my sons four years I Susie T to return two more years as the host rotates with University of Chicago. A facility to be proud of for Emory University.

This location has a pool, hot tub and sauna. My interactions with the staff have been very friendly and useful. Often they have machines that need to be maintained/repaired. In general they keep it clean too. It's packed around 5pm-8pm. But pretty enjoyable weekend mornings (8am-10am).

Last month, I noticed a sign encouraging members to leave an online review. I hesitated because, while I genuinely want this gym and its staff to succeed, there are several areas that I believe need significant improvement. I decided to wait a month to see whether some of these issues would be addressed, but unfortunately, I have not noticed any meaningful improvements. There are three primary areas that need attention: personnel, equipment, and facility maintenance. Personnel: I come to the gym 3-5 times Monday through Friday, and it is very rare to receive a greeting or even an acknowledgement when entering or leaving. There have been many occasions when the front desk attendants don't look up when members walk in, and there are also times when the front desk is completely unattended. I also had a negative interaction with an older female trainer who was unnecessarily rude to me when I simply placed my bag down while looking for my keys. Customer service and professionalism should be consistent across the staff, and I believe additional training in this area would be beneficial. Equipment and cleanliness: The equipment could use some updating. While equipment does occasionally break down, I will say that repairs are generally completed within a reasonable timeframe, which I appreciate. However, the cleanliness and daily upkeep of the workout areas are inconsistent. Some days there is someone actively cleaning, while other days there doesn't appear to be anyone maintaining the area. Equipment wipes are also frequently unavailable, which is why I now bring my own. Facility/restrooms: This is, by far, the area that needs the most attention. The lockers are hit or miss, with some being functional and others either not working or having questionable repairs. More concerning is the lack of basic restroom supplies. There are rarely paper towels available in the dispenser for drying hands. This week, the situation was particularly disappointing when someone placed toilet seat liners on the counter for people to use as hand-drying material. That is not an acceptable substitute and is also unsanitary. The restroom counters are consistently dirty, and there is visible mold on a ceiling tile. The sauna floor was recently tiled, yet there is already dirt--or possibly mold--building up on the floor, which gives the impression that the area is not being cleaned properly. The shower area also has noticeable dirt and soap scum buildup. I am not writing this review simply to criticize. After 14 years as a member, I genuinely want this location and its personnel to succeed. However, these are recurring issues that directly affect the experience and confidence of members. I strongly encourage management to address these concerns, particularly staff training, restroom sanitation, supply availability, and consistent daily cleaning and maintenance. These are basic aspects of operating a gym and improving them would make a noticeable difference for the members who use this facility regularly. Please see the attached pictures. We mainly came just for the pool, so I didn't get the full chance to utilize everything the gym had to offer. The locker rooms and the pool were really nice though. When we arrived to the pool, we grabbed some drinks at the pool bar and noticed there was a DJ playing. There were many lounge chairs scattered throughout the pool area, but it wasn't too busy, so we were able to find a good spot to sit. We were both with our wives, so there were 4 of us. We had some snacks and drank by the pool. While I did love my visit here, I would never sign up to be a member, as monthly memberships are $200+ which in my opinion is quite steep. We Ubered here, so I am not too familiar with where parking is for members. I would come back here, but only if I was able to visit for free.

While using the women's locker room/rejuvenation area at Life Time Fitness Buckhead, I was completely naked when a male contractor entered the space. I was fully exposed. There was no warning given to me that allowed time to dress, cover myself, or leave the area. No announcement reached me. No safeguard protected me. Whatever policies Life Time claims to have, they failed in real time -- because the result was my total exposure. What happened next was just as disturbing. Instead of taking accountability, management focused on defending "procedure." I was essentially told that everything was done properly -- despite the fact that I was left naked in front of a man. That alone tells me this situation was not taken seriously. Then, the next day, someone attempted to break into my home and sexually assault me. I am stating this plainly because context matters. At this point, it is unknown whether there is any connection between these events. That uncertainty is exactly why this should have been handled with urgency, care, and seriousness. Instead, my concerns were minimized, and I was left feeling unsafe -- not only as a member, but as a woman. I should not have had to escalate this. I should not have had to involve corporate or law enforcement just to be heard. A gym locker room is supposed to be one of the most protected private spaces. Life Time Buckhead failed to protect mine, and then failed again by dismissing the impact. Privacy is not a "process." Safety is not a script. Dignity is not negotiable. Based on my experience, Life Time Buckhead did not uphold any of these. Mike the GM is a sorry somebody.

And to make it worse he had a full on vomit session and the trainers just handed him a can. I have never seen that before. And I know public health in Georgia and the region is a little different than other parts of the county but moments later- a trainer calls a manager to handle. TOP NOTCH... Proud member.

Here's why we don't recommend Sweetwater Pools... Inexperienced technicians - unable to answer the most basic maintenance questions. Disrespectful to property - the technicians would disassemble our pool skimmer, using the pole to mix their chemicals (that's fine!), but then not put it back together. We repeatedly asked them to put it back the way they found it to no avail. It felt lazy and disrespectful. Zero communication - really hard to get anyone to call you back to address concerns or questions. To sum it up, we never felt like Sweetwater Pools valued our business or ever tried to salvage it. You have been forewarned.

Not a very good experience with Sweetwater Pools, we needed our pool cleaned after it was opened…read morefrom another not so pool friendly company, we agreed on the contract, made the monthly payment, almost 2 weeks later a guy from there comes out to clean and get the pool ready for summer, he only vacuumed half the pool, and dropped 5 3" tabs in the strainer basket and then he left, his "supervisor" then came out couple hours later, said he would have everything done even if he had to come back out and vacuum again, well he left to after about an hour, sides of the pool were not cleaned, debris still on the bottom of the pool, empty chemical bottle left on the pool deck, left and never heard from him again, called Saturday, spoke with Management but since he is management North, he could do anything, Monday I called the office, told them everything that was and was not done, I was told that the pool techs report stated " the pool was cleaned, chemicals added, and the deck was cleaned up with a leaf blower" I think its pretty sad when employees tell stories to there employers to make themselves look good while making a PAYING customer look bad. Not one word of sincerity or offers to help get to the bottom of the situation, I told them to cancel my NEW account, and was told "ok, have a nice day". out XXX.xx for 5 chlorine tablets and some bottle of chemical!!
