This was my first time visiting this Lifetime. One of my friends got me in for free via a guest pass. We mainly came just for the pool, so I didn't get the full chance to utilize everything the gym had to offer. The locker rooms and the pool were really nice though. When we arrived to the pool, we grabbed some drinks at the pool bar and noticed there was a DJ playing. There were many lounge chairs scattered throughout the pool area, but it wasn't too busy, so we were able to find a good spot to sit. We were both with our wives, so there were 4 of us. We had some snacks and drank by the pool. While I did love my visit here, I would never sign up to be a member, as monthly memberships are $200+ which in my opinion is quite steep. We Ubered here, so I am not too familiar with where parking is for members. I would come back here, but only if I was able to visit for free. read more

I never imagined I would be writing something like this about a place that claims to prioritize safety and privacy. While using the women's locker room/rejuvenation area at Life Time Fitness Buckhead, I was completely naked when a male contractor entered the space. I was fully exposed. There was no warning given to me that allowed time to dress, cover myself, or leave the area. No announcement reached me. No safeguard protected me. Whatever policies Life Time claims to have, they failed in real time -- because the result was my total exposure. What happened next was just as disturbing. Instead of taking accountability, management focused on defending "procedure." I was essentially told that everything was done properly -- despite the fact that I was left naked in front of a man. That alone tells me this situation was not taken seriously. Then, the next day, someone attempted to break into my home and sexually assault me. I am stating this plainly because context matters. At this point, it is unknown whether there is any connection between these events. That uncertainty is exactly why this should have been handled with urgency, care, and seriousness. Instead, my concerns were minimized, and I was left feeling unsafe -- not only as a member, but as a woman. I should not have had to escalate this. I should not have had to involve corporate or law enforcement just to be heard. A gym locker room is supposed to be one of the most protected private spaces. Life Time Buckhead failed to protect mine, and then failed again by dismissing the impact. Privacy is not a "process." Safety is not a script. Dignity is not negotiable. I've been going to the Life Time on Roswell Road for a bit now and honestly really like it. The gym is clean, well kept, and doesn't feel chaotic like a lot of big gyms. The equipment is solid and there's a good mix of machines, free weights, and space to actually move around. I also really like the classes - the instructors know what they're doing and aren't over the top, which I appreciate. Locker rooms are a big plus. They're spacious and feel more like a spa than a gym locker room, which makes a difference if you're there before work or after a long day. Staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I've needed anything, but they don't hover. Only downside is that it can get pretty busy during peak times, especially after work. You may have to wait for certain machines or adjust your workout a bit. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. read more

Not a very good experience here first of all is $459 a month for two people which is basically a car payment. If you don't go everyday you don't get the full benefit of what you pay for. Classes are very hard to schedule and they're not all free Don't believe that. They might be free at first for like a trial and then they coerce you into getting with a trainer. I've moved all over the country and been a LT loyalist and have always loved the space but the Phipps location has yet to impress. For the level at which this club is has a lot of room for improvement.... Pro: -Equipment selection -Class schedule / options -Rooftop Pool: Great area to hang out and swim laps -The two women that work the front in the AM are beyond pleasant and kind Cons: -Training staff is constantly rude and inconsiderate -Extras like Normatecs often have no one staffing as the trainers work on commission they don't want to help you with "free" amenities -Cleanliness: Equipment is constantly dirty as well as the locker rooms and general areas -Sauna /Steam Room: Members constantly on speaker phone, facetiming, watching videos without headphones -Constantly dodging tripods on the gym floor of people filming -Maintenance: Equipment or even spa area is constantly getting fixed or out of service for weeks on end Overall, this gym has a lot to work on but hoping the expansion of other LTs in the ATL area will allow for some members to spread out and new management to come in. read more

It's crazy how different an experience I had here vs. my home location at NDH. COMPLETELY different vibes, and not for the better. Signed up for a Surrender Yoga class - the instructor was late because the facility posted the time wrong, she talked so much that I had a hard time following and couldn't relax. Locker rooms are inconveniently located and full. Across from the yoga studio, there are multiple LOUD classes. And there seemed to be construction on the floor above the studio. It sounded like a bowling alley and was too distracting for me. The workout room was...weird. The layout, the non-helpfulness of the staff when asking for directions, and the gazes. Maybe it's just the different demographic in Buckhead and that vibe works for their crowd. I'll stick to NDH, which has been fantastic so far (open less than a month though). read more

Lifespa inside Lifetime gym at Phipps Plaza is so shady! On the website and in person they tell you one price but when you leave it's double that. $50 for haircut but actually your hair is long so it's $100. Also $15 for a hair consultation. Manicure is $45 but you wanted chrome so that's $70. (It was glitter polish not chrome!) Finally I got partial highlights. She told me $120. On the website it says $100. somehow I was charged $185. $185?! For just a couple of foil highlights put in for a few minutes. After 3 bad experiences, there's no way l'm going back. I'm tired of arguing with them and feeling ripped off! On the menu the prices have a + next to them. That doesn't give them the right to charge you double! She verbally quoted $120 before putting the foils in but charged me $185! Rip off scam artists! read more

This review is for Lifetime fitness club located at 1823 N Brown Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. This location is kept clean but can be very crowded during the peak hours. Staff is generally professional with few exceptions. As many other reviewers have reported, cancelling a membership at lifetime is practically impossible. I requested cancellation of my membership effective as of 12/7/24 over the phone. I was told to send an email to "sugarloaf@lifetime.life" which I did. Nothing had changed when I called a week later to confirm that my membership was cancelled. I was then told to stop by the membership desk in person which I did, the person at the front desk assured me that my membership will be cancelled but I will be charged again in January 2025 but I will be issued a refund with cancellation effective date of 1/7/25. I was charged for the month of January 2025, I kept waiting for refund for the remainder of January which I never received. I was charged again for February. I called their front desk today to find out what is going on and why I keep getting charged for a membership that should have been canceled effective 1/7/25. I was put on hold multiple times & every time I had to explain my story to each person. Finally when I spoke with the 3rd person, he said that we have no record of your cancellation request. He acknowledge that he received my email dated 12/12/24 requesting cancellation but insisted that because they don't have a record of my clicking on some link that they sent me over email, he was not going to be able to refund the residual fee for January. I ended up wasting over an hour of my time & he 'graciously' agreed to issue the refund for February which just started. When I told him that I have not been back to the club since after 12/7/24, he said that our memberships are not based on the use, our memberships are subscription based, you will be charged whether you use it or not. Staff are very unfriendly and not willing to help. Good luck canceling your membership once you join. Facility is not kept clean. The studio floors are covered in a layer of hair and dirt, I won't walk barefoot on any of the studio floors cause i kept getting athletes foot. Underwhelming experience to say the least. They are overcharging for the amenities they provide, especially considering the condition they are in. When I first joined I scheduled a tour, when I showed up I was informed that they didn't have anyone there who could give a tour, then I saw someone else being led on a tour. This gym has gotten so irritating and for the price they charge. I get you want to be equinox but lifetime doesn't even come close to the quality equinox offers. This location is particularly bad. It's always busy. I've been at all hours of the day and it's always crowded. People are extremely rude here just the illusion that buckhead is such a premium place. Some equipment they only have one of and it's broken for a week or two. Influencers everywhere. Watch out so you don't trip over tripods. Or if you're doing leg day and need the only seated leg press machine... you'll have to wait 35 minutes so the influencer can finish their video of pushing 10 pounds. I'm giving lifetime one more chance when north Druid hills opens... maybe the price will push some People out and it will be more enjoyable. So far I'd say this place is absolutely NOT worth it for the price. At this point I'd settle for la fitness. Same experience for a tenth the price. read more

Visited for the first time yesterday. This LTF facility is one of the best I've visited. Only "downside" is the absence of an indoor pool which makes swimming possible until closing. The outdoor roof top pool is impressive...2 lap pools. Not very common at LTF facilities since the roof top pools tend to be leisure pools. Perhaps the absence of the indoor pool provides the featured roof top lap pools. Also, appreciated the staff at the cafe. Vania and her team are very welcoming and friendly. The staff compliments the great facility and the facility compliments the great staff. Erin, the concierge front desk is a pleasant first impression of the gym. I'm making this gym my Atlanta home gym when traveling to Atlanta for business. I travel the country for business, hence I workout at many LTF facilities. This facility is as close as it comes to exceeding expectations at their current price point. read more

We love lifetime, their offices and their gym. It has literally almost anything... they don't have toilet seat covers in their bathrooms which I find really strange for such a high end facility. Also the LifeTime work doesn't have a doorbell/buzzer which is super frustrating when your carrying multiple things and it's during business hours and no one at the desk comes over to let you in and you can't buzz in and you either drop everything on the floor to search for it or a phone to have someone(your work with personally) let you in. Other than that the foods good, the locker rooms are clean, the equipments new and everyone's really nice. read more

At first glance, the facility is top notch. But then as you come to the club more often, you realize the experience is far from top notch: 1) The music in all classes, and the Alpha/GTX classes on the workout floor are EXTREMELY loud. I asked an instructor to turn down the music and she pointed me to earplugs. WTH?? I want a workout without going deaf and without a rude instructor. The Monday night spin guy told the class to suck up the loud volume. Again, WTH?? Classes and instructors should ADAPT to the students. 2) The front desk staff is a joke. They chat and socialize with each other, barely making eye contact to scan your ID. Ask a question and they will claim "we are new and do not know" or give you an incorrect answer like "yeah, I guess the pool is heated". My dues are not paying for half-ass customer service. Here is an idea - how about training the staff?? 3) The club will squeeze more money anywhere they can - for Pilates reformer classes, for the hydro massage, for the pool. The fees should cover ALL of it. 4) While the majority of staff sit around the front desk, you see very few people cleaning the facilities. Used towels, dirty bathrooms, trash on the equipment floor; dirty floors in exercise glasses. Bathroom lights do not work on the 6th floor (where pool is located) & bathrooms never are cleaned up there. Gross! It's a shame because other Lifetime Fitness clubs outside of Georgia clearly have higher standards than this current "LA Fitness with towels" level experience. Do better, people!! read more

I've experienced dismissive and disrespectful customer service from staff members regularly at this facility. One of the most recent disrespectful exchange, while trying to rent a cabana that cost an extra $600 on top of the $300 membership fee and $150 pool fee. I emailed the Cabana rental lady and she said my cabana was rented and ready to go. I just need to sign a waiver. However once I showed up for my reservation, I was told there were no more cabana's...even though I showed them my email confirmation. My 5 guest and I had to WAIT for the Cabana lady to come off of her break for the issue to be resolved.... she resolved the issue. After waiting and finally being seated almost an hour into my reservation, I received a call from my 3 other guest that they're not being allowed upstairs, so i return to the front desk. Annoyed I explained to the woman (who originally lied about the cabana being unavailable), "we are paying to much to deal with is level of disorganization." The front desk lady (the one who told us no cabanas were available) says to me infornt of my guest "I DON"T CARE". The situation continued to escalate, with another associate eventually getting involved, and a heated exchange occurred between her and the front desk lady. This is disrupting my reservation and embarrassing to deal with in fornt of my guests. I have no issue following whatever rules the facility sets in place, but if I am being told two different things and the staff are aware of this, WHY IS THE CUSTOMER AT FAULT? Given that I am paying substantial fees--including a $300 monthly membership, 150 pool access and a $500 cabana fee PLUS A MANDATORY 20% gratuity--this level of poor customer service is unacceptable. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this is a regular occurrence at this "luxury" gym. I email Eric the manager but I doubt they will do anything to rectify the issue. read more

Some of the cleanup/maintenance crew are friendly & sociable...but the average customer service experienced by other employees is abysmal. They are rude, always act inconvenienced by members, & are completely inconsiderate. Additionally, when I inquired about the family discount-because my cousin and roommate were also interested in signing up-Tree did not provide me with the pricing information. Instead, she demanded proof of our relationship before even addressing my question. Her response felt presumptive and dismissive, as I was simply trying to gather information, not challenge the policy. Throughout our interaction, Tree's attitude was unprofessional, unhelpful, and made me feel uncomfortable. She appeared disengaged, and her responses lacked the courtesy and knowledge I expected. This was disappointing, as part of the sign-up process should involve understanding the club's offerings to determine if they fit my needs. I want to emphasize that I chose Lifetime based on its reputation, and I would hate for one poor experience to overshadow the club's otherwise excellent facilities and services. I urge you to address these concerns and ensure staff members provide consistent and welcoming service to all potential members. The male assistant working the front counter dressed in a black suit and glasses on Jan 18 around 7pm needs to take a class on customer service. If I were the owner or manager of this place, I'd be concerned about the low level of client service and honestly just respect. We pay too much money for this club to not at least be greeted with a smile or "hello" This member barely made eye contact with the patrons entering and seemed more concerned with flirting with male guests than greeting. Hopefully this was an anomaly because I can imagine how many prospective clients you'll lose considering this. $280 a month is hefty and for anyone on the fence who encounters this individual...well he'll probably send them away to the competition. Today, I created an account online and planned to purchase your signature membership for your Phipps Plaza location. However, upon reaching the final page, I realized I should probably tour the facility first. After work, I went to the club but was turned away for a tour. Not only was I turned away, but I was also told that there are no tours after 5 PM, which is during normal working hours. After explaining that I work late, the guy suddenly offered tour slots at 6-6:30 PM or 7:30 PM. What changed in those few seconds? Who doesn't offer tours after 5 in a luxury gym? If there was an EQX here in ATL, I wouldn't even hesitate to go there. Your team's customer service is subpar, completely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

I saw an unnamed athlete suggestively apply sunscreen to his date slapping her ass. Then she got in his lap and fondled him at the roof pool with no regard for the other guest or children present. Men coming into steam room fully dressed in street clothes including sneakers, hats, hoodies and their cell phones. They take phone calls or you can hear music blasting from their ear pods. Coffee bar subtly suggest you give tips when buying coffee by giving receipt to sign with tip space. Dont bother speaking to manager. He definitely gives a La Fitness/Planet Fitness vibe. My husband and I just relocated from NY to ATL and had been members of Equinox, so we figured Life Time was a good replacement. However, the Managment of this gym is in shambles. The most senior looking person at the front desk didn't even greet us when we arrived for our tour, she just said "ID" then handed us an iPad to sign a waiver. We went on a pretty lackluster tour, but I don't blame the young lady who had only been employed there for 5 months. After the tour we stood at the front desk for some sort of one-on-one membership consultation but a young lady with a mouth full of granola simply said, "do you want to join?".She had no information on personal training or the rates and qualifications of the trainers, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to join. I should note that she was chewing during the entire conversation. For a gym that would've been $500 for a husband/wife membership, you think they would put more effort into providing information. They wouldn't even print out pricing for us. It's a hard pass for us, I'd rather join three smaller studios than encounter this sad, miserable, untrained staff on a daily basis. read more

I'd never get a membership here!! After having a wonderful lunch at Nobu on a Saturday afternoon my wife and I decided to walk over to Lifetime to get a view of the facility since we was in the area. I wish I could say it was a pleasant experience but it wasn't. We walked in to the front desk lady talking on her personal cell phone to a friend about her plans for the night. It wasn't until my wife started to walk through that she stopped and inquired about our membership. We responded we was in the area and just wanted to peep in and come back on Monday to speak with a rep. She stated we need an appt which was fine. We said thank you and asked for a card. We were abruptly told go online. My wife took the card of a rep of which we will never call. If the front desk lady is any indication of the service Lifetime will offer...we will pass and definitely spread the word. It's unfortunate good business hire such poor professionals. Whoever was working the front desk at 430pm on Saturday the 20th should be terminated or demoted from dealing with prospective clients. My 8-year-old son and I were taking a shower in the family room at Lifetime Fitness around 7pm and were traumatized by a male security who was a former police officer, loudly knocked on our glass shower door while we fully naked and aggressively told us that I was not supposed to be in there. I replied that my son was in the shower with me. He then waited for us to come out and entered the bathroom to explain why he banged on the door. I tried to accept his apology but later realized that if he was listening at the shower door, he would have heard me and my son talking. The next day my husband called GM to explain happened and he asked me if the security touched us and because he did not touch us, there was no grounds forn termination. Then I asked if I should cancel my $ 400-a-month membership he replied "what's my member number". I told him that we were comming to speak to him in person. When we arrived he was introducing himself to another member in front of me but he realized I was the person, he told me to make an appointment to speak to him. I was outraged. We no loger feel comfortable with this business because of the disregard for women and children. I feel when he saw an Asian woman and a black Man that he disregard our membership to the gym. There was no de-escalation process knowing we were upset and needed an explaination or apology for what happened. After speaking with corporate office, they denied the the security banged on the door and that we disrespected the front office. read more
