Park free in the small lot or the Publix parking deck across the street. Our instructor CoCo patiently waited for my crew, but the clock was running because of other bookings. The environment is cool and clean with cubbies for personal items/shoes. You enter the mat barefoot or in socks. The website mentions 30-minute-high intensity low impact cardio classes, indoor water rowers, aerial sling yoga to release tension etc. We had a P-Valley themed party, so I knew it was going down! We each picked a Sky Barre nickname and CoCo broke down the routine into steps. I haven't worked out in awhile and I have zero upper body strength, so I was nervous but willing to try. I couldn't do some of the moves but CoCo made modifications. It's not easy. Initially, it felt like the aerial silks were burning into my feet, butt and side. But it's more discomfort than pain and she said you get used to it. An hour wasn't enough time to learn the routine. But you are your own audience so it's more about feeling confident, getting out of your head and having fun! We had a glow party under blacklights, so highlighter colors really pop! The lights were dimmed, the track was played, and we killed our routine. Not! We did it 2x and I still forgot half the moves! The best part is how sexy you feel if you let yourself go. But when I played the video later it was more like the rhythmless nation! At the end we cheered each other on as we freestyle danced in a circle. Water was provided and we said our goodbyes. Sky Barre core + cardio = full body workout. I was sore for few days but it was worth it! Memberships start at $150 (1 hr a week, 12 drop-ins per month). There's a $99 3-week unlimited beginner class promo for newbies. If you can afford it and you're brave enough to try, drop in for a fun, creative workout. I recommend!

Great studio with diversity of classes, not always typical barre3 but also has strength classes and diversity of times as well( early morning to post workout) !Diversity of the people who attend , mostly 98% female but they are of all ages and diverse ethnic/ racial groups as well as diverse shapes and sizes. The teachers and staff are diverse and bring a lot of energy to their classes. It really feels like a community with many activities centered around holidays. Highly recommend this studio!

Unfortunately, when I did finally receive a response, the interaction was not positive. The communication came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which made the overall experience worse. It is also worth noting that there is another Pure Barre location in the Sharpsburg/Newnan area, just a few miles away, that is new, clean, and very welcoming to newcomers, and offers a much better daily schedule without heavy reliance on waitlists. From there, I was able to simply sign up via the add. Later, I was conveniently contacted by an automated text system that kindly reminded me of my reservations. Day of, I made it right before the start of class so, I unfortunately missed the tour of the studio. I quickly signed my waivers and jumped in right at the nick of time! The studio was small but very neat. First Impressions: A neatly arranged front entryway with branded gear and waters for sale, along with the front desk to your left. Behind the wall was their only studio. It's a pretty good size for such small parameters at the Vinings Jubilee. I'm unsure If I was the only newcomer, but everyone seemed a bit more familiar with the routine. The instructor positions herself at the front of the room facing the mirrors. Everyone else is evenly spaced at their own spot at a bar along the 4 walls, and I was in the middle at a stand alone bar. The class was moderately tough. Some parts were a bit more challenging than others, but all of that depends on your skill level. I truly believe any level individual could come and take this class and walk away with a good burn. Some areas of criticism: - I was never introduced to the instructor or welcomed to the class, but this could of been due to me being right on time. It would have been nice to have felt noticed and welcomed. - The instructor could have been more attentive during the workout in order to help make adjustment to posture/ positioning during the routine. There was a few times I felt unsure of I was doing, or if I was even doing the correct movement! As I would look around, I noticed everyone was doing some variation of what she was doing. I would prefer more instruction. While working hard time seems to move so slow! The class included the use of a small ball, 2 hand weights ( which you can change out according to your strength level), and a loop resistance band. We did some pretty cool exercises! Definitely creative stuff Post class, the receptionist and the instructor spoke with me shortly about the different classes they offer and some membership options. Barre3 focus more on cardio and balance, the class will make you sweat and stronger the more you go. I was surprised how it changed my body shape and toned my muscles in 30 days, with 5 classes a week. Sumo squats transform my big flat butt to a firmer and rounder smaller butt. :D If you never try barre before, try out Barre3 and see how it can change your body in 30 days.

I really wanted to…read morelike CorePower, in part because they do have some excellent instructors and nicely kept facilities with showers etc. which you most definitely want in Atlanta. 95% of classes in Atlanta I've found are heated and CorePower is no exception, much to my dismay. This company seems to be one of the only here with convenient (caveats) locations and consistent quality of instructors / facilities. I like all of their classes, C2 classes have been my sweet spot, YogaSculpt is my punishment when I'm late for C2 (kicks my ass), and C1 when I've been beat. Tara, Ben and Cassidy are outstanding instructors and the rest of this review is no reflection on the staff. For $150/mo I really had hopes of this being a one-stop yoga shop. All they'd need is a smattering of yin and restorative classes, and some unheated options. I must say though, even after C1 classes, I've never left feeling relaxed. Great workouts, but must those be our only choices? On top of this, with the exceptions of the instructors I mentioned, all of the instructors have the same monologues down verbatim. Combined with how formulaic each class is, I never really felt like I was leaving yoga afterwards. Lastly, there are varying policies on tardiness. I admit I push it there sometimes, but today I was under two minutes late (due to parking nightmares) to three classes in midtown and O4W. Occasionally I've gotten lucky when someone was still in the front of the studio. Other times I've been told 5 minutes is the absolute latest anyone can be let in. The last straw today was a young woman coming out of the utility closet inside mouthing through the glass that she didn't have a key to open the door for me. I understand more affordable or smaller studios not being able to keep a staff person out front as a courtesy for 5 minutes, but there's no excuse for CorePower. Another mild nuisance was having to call to cancel. The hunt for a one-stop shop yoga studio in Atlanta continues.

I emailed and called to ask for a refund but the people I communicated with were extremely unsupportive and not willing to help. The membership is expensive and I didn't use the membership at all for the period I was charged for. I enjoyed the classes themselves but am extremely disappointed with the company and the customer service. I would've considered re-joining once settled in my new city at a future date but am thoroughly disappointed by my interactions now and the lack of any grace.

OTF Is primarily cardio-based as more than half of the workout is in the treadmill and rower. With a third of the class on a treadmill and third of the class on a rower you're really pushing your aerobic fitness and caloric burn. The floor exercise is the last third of the class. In my opinion they can improve their floor exercises and work out as there isn't much time to build muscle but rather to burn fat. There are quite a few locations around Atlanta as OTF has become a very popular workout franchise. This specific location in Midtown has a parking deck for free parking. The classes at this location are almost always full. The coaches and staff are nice just like most locations. They have a bathroom for both sexes and two showers for you to use if you want to go before work. They have a wide range of class times so you can work out super early, mid day or late in the evening. Overall OTF is great for trying to lose weight, get in shape and meet new people while burning calories.

Dana was an amazing instructor! She is kind, patient, demos movements and is constantly moving around to keep an eye on everyone, correct form and encourage them. I really appreciated this being a total newbie! At the beginning of class she gave a quick overview of the reformer so you knew how to make adjustments and how to properly utilize cables. She also would give modifications for certain exercises incase someone needed them. Like most things in Atlanta parking can be a bit tricky ... but they send a welcome email to give you a heads up. Just show up a little early to ensure you find a spot and are on time to class. There is a paid lot or the neighborhood around there has some street parking, you might just have to walk a couple blocks.

This Planet Fitness is a great place to workout! It's cheap, clean, not very crowded, has a…read moreplethora of exercise equipment, and is easy to get in and out. It's a very good value. The one slight negative is the management. It took them 3 or 4 months to get my boyfriend's payments set up properly. A friend of mine got a membership based on my recommendation, and it took multiple follow ups to get the credit for referring someone. Both of these situations have required us standing up at the front desk for 30 minutes at a time while the employee tries to figure out how to fix it. Despite that, I highly recommend Planet Fitness!
