Shoutout to the instructors, especially Hannah, Michael, Morgan, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Marcus, and Favian - they are all fabulous! When I arrived, I went to the front desk, made a purchase, and signed up for the next two classes. I specifically explained that I was brand new. At no point was I told that one of the classes I had just signed up for was an advanced class that a beginner would clearly not be prepared for. That alone would have been frustrating, but mistakes happen. What bothered me much more was the complete lack of effort from the coach. As a brand-new face walking into an advanced class, I would have expected the coach to at least introduce himself, ask about my experience level, or give me some idea of what was going on. None of that happened. Not before class, not during class, and not afterward. Instead, I spent the better part of an hour stumbling around trying to figure things out on my own before eventually sitting down. And I didn't sit down because I simply gave up. There was a woman trying to record what I assume was content for social media, and I didn't want my confusion in the background ruining her video. The whole experience left me feeling like I simply wasn't supposed to be there. Ironically, the one person who actually made me feel welcome was Sarah, who I'm not even sure works there. She approached me on her own, introduced herself, told me about the place, and helped me figure out where I needed to be. If it hadn't been for her kindness, I probably would have left without staying for the second class. Unfortunately, the same coach taught that class as well. Once again, there was no introduction or attempt to speak to me before, during, or after class. I don't expect special treatment because I'm new. I do expect basic customer service, especially after I've explicitly told the staff that it's my first time. A simple "Hey, I'm ___, have you done this before?" would have changed the entire experience. I came in interested enough to make a purchase with the intention of becoming a regular and signed up for two classes. I left feeling invisible. Based on that first experience, I don't expect I'll be returning.

AJ, Hannah and the whole studio team were so supportive and fun to work with a few times a week in the buildup to the big day. Neither my wife and I considered ourselves particularly coordinated or gifted in the ways of rhythm or dance but that was no issue for AJ. She choreographed a dance to our chosen song that played to our strengths and gave us the confidence to go all out and rock it at our wedding. We felt supported and encouraged at every practice and were made to feel like dance rockstars. The results were more than we could have hoped for at the wedding. It was for sure a friendly audience but we brought the house down and blew everyone away. Many guests came up to us raving about the dance, amazed that the two of us had pulled off something as technical and complicated as that in full wedding attire. AJ got us there so we owe a lot of it to her guidance and choreography. My husband never thought he could do something like this, but even though dance is not something that comes easily to him, he is now able to lead with relative ease and confidence. We've actually been able to go from knowing absolutely nothing about ballroom to becoming reasonably proficient in Fox Trot, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Swing. Jenna is extremely patient, very kind, and she meets you where you are. She goes out of her way to figure out how each of her clients learns best, and she applies those techniques to help ease the learning process and ensure success. Day includes: Circle time, play stations, craft, yoga, story time... and then a full dance lesson. - Small program.. the kids get to know each other really well. - Because the kids are there 2x a week, the teachers are able to cater to their individual tastes Cons: - Limited days/hours. Right now it is Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 - 1:30 - Outdoor play is very limited - there is an outdoor playspace, but it is at the other end of the building, and the kids have to go as a group.

My daughter (age 3) has attended four different classes with different instructors as we tried to find the right fit for her. As a shy new student, I expected at least a minimal effort from the teachers to help her feel welcomed and included--but that has largely been missing. In most of the classes, there was little to no effort to engage her, encourage her participation, or help her feel part of the group. Even in the few classes that had student assistants present, they did not step in to support her or offer any guidance. In one instance, my daughter needed tap shoes (which are available in a shared bin for those without), and rather than assisting us, the student assistant pointed me toward the bin to figure it out myself--something that could have easily been handled more supportively, especially for a brand-new child. Another serious concern is bathroom access. My daughter is still potty training, and after a 45-minute drive to get to class, we often urgently need to use the restroom upon arrival. To access the bathrooms, however, you must walk through two active classrooms, which feels disruptive and uncomfortable. On one occasion, it took us over 10 minutes just to get into a stall, which meant missing a significant portion of class while awkwardly waiting in a hallway right next to an ongoing session. Overall, I'm very surprised by the lack of accommodations or support for young children and new families. It's disappointing because I had high hopes for this studio, but at this point, I'm not confident that it's the right environment for us and we have already put in our 30 days.
