Carly has created a beautiful community where dancers of all levels feel encouraged and supported. The studio is always clean, organized, and full of positive energy. Carly Choreographed my Wedding Surprise Dance!!!…read more My wedding was in August 2023, I struggled finding the right dance choreographer within less than 2 months and Carly was exactly the right choreographer for a surprise dance. It was perfect tempo, sexy (but not to sexy in front of family lol), and dance moves were a bit challenging but I practiced till I had it memorized in my head, but it was perfect! She understood what I was wanting in my surprise dance after talking and showing videos. She customized all of my songs and it was perfect! Carly always said "keep practicing" and that is the honest truth. A choreographer can only do so much. You must be willing to achieve your goals and if you really want to, you'll soon realize that Carly is doing 50% of what you are wanting to put a good show the rest is all you!! She really is a good choreographer. Even her personality is what I love most, I felt I had a connection with her and that is super hard to find. So thank you again Carly , I wished I found you in advance so you could've choreographed my first dance with my husband I know it would've been perfect with your help Also I have a 15 month old daughter, once she turns 15 years old, I know Carly will be the right fit for my daughter's quince choreographer. Especially since she did my little sister quince & it was a best choreography I ever seen. Will talk to you soon Carly

They usually have one large production each year and classes are consistent throughout. The performances are a one of a kind show. They usually involve aerial silk dancers 50-200' in the air, dancers on harnesses, and sometimes dancers coming down by zip lines! The shows are quite a sight. The classes move at a great pace for both dancers and non dancers alike. No experience needed for beginners (level 1)! The courses are a fantastic way to build upper body strength and learn the art of silks. The instructors will start off with the basics and safety as you learn to "lock" into the silks to perform your first few moves (few feet up at first and moving towards flips and drops after some experience)! Overall, they put your safety and learning first so you can build a foundation to grow from. Try their 6 weeks course or reach out for a fun unique birthday party! My arms were super toned after my first series. Full disclosure, I have a dance background but not everyone did. It was about 50/50! Parking is super easy. There are about 10 spots out front plus an overflow lot that can easily hold 50+ cars.

I am going to give Alisa's Dance Academy (ADA) a mixed review…read more My daughter has been going here for two years now. In two years, I have seen some amazing dances from ADA students. ADA has a team of dancers called the ADA Elites that competes in dance competitions. These ADA Elites girls are amazingly talented and dedicated. Every year, ADA has Nutcracker performance at the Westlake Performing Art Center. My daughter was a part of this event for one year. It was an incredible experience for both her and me. The whole show was also accompanied by Westlake high school live orchestra. It was Alisa's intention to promote art, dance and music amongst young kids. Hats off, Alisa. It's truly an admirable effort and production. Now the not so good.... The first year my daughter went to ADA, she went to her first ballet class and afterwards she told me she hated it. She almost gave up and refused to go back the next week. This was coming from a girl who had been going to dance classes 3+ years before ADA. She kept her dance classes on my urging and things did get better. I talked to one of the mom of a girl in her class. It turned out, this girl had the same problem. Apparently, the teacher was speaking nasty stuff to the girls during the first class. I was quite appalled. I never had this happened to my daughter before. Her previous dance places had been all nice people. Thankfully, I had not seen this teacher the next year. The second year was better, my daughter took two classes: ballet and jazz. Compared to last year, the ballet teacher this year was super nice. She's kind and compassionate. But my daughter recital piece was way too simple. Because of this, she did not like ballet as much as jazz. The jazz teacher was young but talented. She had choreographed quite a nice piece for the 12 girls in her class. My daughter loved going to the jazz class. My daughter would be coming back for her 3rd year in ADA next Fall. She would also be going there for summer camp. She also said she would want to participate in Nutcracker again. Hopefully we have a great experience again.
