This is not the place if you are co-parenting. My daughter has been with Dance by Carley since she was 2, so about 5 years now. For the for 3 yrs I payed 100% of my daughter's dance fees and myself and my daughters other mother both had access to the scheduled calendar. When I became displeased with all the cancel classes, no make classes or reimbursement for instructors not showing up I decided my money would not be going to Dance by Carley. My daughters other mother started to pick up the cost so Carley Bell blocked me from knowing when my daughter would be dancing and her excuse was that the person paying was the only one with access. My daughters other parent, Carley and her staff are drinking buddies so she sided with the other parent. Carley enforced a letter written by my daughters other mother stating that I had been bemoved by law enforcement from one of the recitals in order to keep me from stopping by the dance studio to see my daughter. These allegations are false. Just this weekend my daughter attended a conference and I was not able to see her perform because Carley's managers Izabella and Liily informed managers and security staff of their own interpretation of orders that are in place between me and my ex. I was escorted out of the establishment by security. I was harassed and humiliated in front of hundreds of people because the studio staff continues in insert themselves in the parental issues that do not have anything to do with the studio. I have read some of the reviews on this page and Carley seems to have an excuse for every one of them. I will follow up with facts to my review if needed but that would only bring more to light on how detrimental their involvement could have been to my relationship with my daughter. My daughter is under the impression that I am doing something wrong when I show up to see her dance. Especially after the seen the managers made yesterday. I am well within my right to see my daughter dance and be present. For the well-being and safety of my daughter I did comply with security even though they escorted me through several halls in front of everyone and followed my by golf cart for 3 miles to make sure I was off the property. I do want to add that I went back and forth about posting a review because my intentions aren't to hurt anyone but enough is enough. The way the studios owner and staff have intentionally interfered is unexcusable. It's costing me time with my daughter and I will continue to stand up for her and my rights. We'll played out. I don't even have to say it, you both have said it for me. Carley Defamation and slander you continue to put me through is for your own pleasure. Again your false accusations that I was escorted off a public facility by police is highly offensive. Now the parents that have their kids attending your studio and where at the conference see more clearly what a lier you are because they did not witness that because that didn't happen. The worst part of you FALSE accusations are that you weren't even at the conference. Your claims that there are protective orders in place are also false. You say you were provided by legal documents from attorneys? Highly unlikely. You also claimed there was another time I was escorted off of public property by police which is incorrect and yes this harassed, humiliation and Defamation and slander has been going on for some years now. I will continue to stand up for both my rights and the rights of my daughter to have me present. read more

Dance By Carly was my first studio and truly embraced me into the family! I started with Carly when I was in the 1st grade and then I danced at her studio from 4th grade to high school graduation. Challenged and encouraged in all of my dance classes, the instructors valued constructive feedback and building our confidence as dancers. I competed with Dance By Carly from 4th to 9th grade, and then again my senior year of high school. During my time in high school, I pursued the dance/drill team at Bowie high school. Although I was not competing with Dance By Carly for two years, I continued taking technique classes with Carly and her instructors. This was a time when I felt not only seen as a dancer but valued, because I had come so far with the help of Dance By Carly. After high school, I was fortunate enough to be selected as a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes in 2022, on the 83rd line. I attribute my success in dance, from the first time I did my splits to making Rangerettes, to Dance By Carly. I originally tried out for the Rangerettes in 2021, however I did not make the team that year. The hard work, dedication, and strong mentality that I learned while being a student at Dance By Carly is what allowed me to push myself for the next year to train, to hopefully make the team of my dreams. I truly would not be the dancer and the person I am today without the amazing instruction and life lessons that I was taught at DBC. I can honestly say that this studio is amazing. I have danced with Carly since I was a little girl and I have never loved her studio more. Not only competing with the company for 5 years but also teaching at the studio was such an important part of my dance life. I loved being on the company, as the other dancers and teachers made it feel like a second home to me, and I have made so many close friends through the studio. All of the teachers are so polite and encouraging to all of the students, which really boosted my confidence in my dancing abilities. I've been gone from the studio for less than 2 months now and I miss it so much. Something important that I would mention is that the studio is a great advocate of the dancer's education, always encouraging children to finish their homework and study to do well in school, and the dancers are always encouraged and challenged to be their very best. Overall, I highly recommend attending this studio, apart of the after school program, recreational classes, or as apart of the company. read more

My daughter has attended DBC for 5 years and enjoys being there now, just the same as she did when she started. She started in recreational classes but quickly advanced to the competitive team which she absolutely loves! Ms. Carly, Ms. Izabella, Ms. Lilly, and Mr. Matthew have been instrumental in helping my daughter grow in skill, confidence, and strength, over the past 5 years. In the course of the past year, Mr. Mark, Ms. Addison and Ms. Lydia have also become an integral part of her continued growth, confidence and advancement as a dancer. All of the instructors are present in their training, affectionate, fun and consistently provide encouragement while also providing correction as needed. DBC offers a judgment-free, safe space for my daughter to dance, as well as providing an environment that cultivates close friendships with her teammates, which is reflective on and off the stage. Our daughter has been attending Dance By Carly since the fall of 2015. We have had an amazing experience with this lovely group of girls/ women. They have been so kind to her and treated her as if she is one of their own! DBC has become like a second home to her and I wouldn't have it any other way. Our daughter not only participates in an amazing after school group lead by Ms. Celia but she also takes several classes there with Ms. Carly. I would recommend this dance company to anyone who is looking for a positive and relationship focused environment for their child while also receiving top notch dance instruction and technique. 5 stars is not enough!! Carly Bell and her staff are truly amazing. After doing much research and "test classes" at other facilities; DBC is the best for many reasons. Owner and all of her staff truly cares about each child's personal development and after 2 months I've watched my daughter grow in her dance development that I did not expect to see this soon!! We have tried dance for years and my daughter is finally thriving in dance! To be a dance mom is a feeling and bond that is indescribable! Seeing all of the girls run around and bond is priceless. I literally ran across Dance By Carly while trying to find something to do on a Saturday and I took my daughter to their Halloween carnival. We had such a great time we decided to come back for a class and it all snowballed from there. Carly is magnetic and the staff are amazing - they care about what they're doing and the kids are a priority. Fast forward... now my daughter is in hip hop, acro, lyrical and does the after school program and I became a teacher myself! I wouldn't work some place I didn't love and I certainly wouldn't take my child there. It is truly a dance family and we found our home away from home! read more

As a professional dancer I was torn between attempting to train my own children or researching other studios and teachers that weren't obnoxiously priced and still offered a good curriculum/structure along with a blend of the basics and foundation of multiple forms of dance. Well, I found a dancer that not only runs her own studio but finds time to not only critique/polish her competitive dancers but has informal/beginner classes for my little ones. Extremely rude to my wife and daughter. Dirty establishment. Hostility and inappropriate behavior made by owner. That culture has clearly affected everyone that comes in contact with her. Our kids (1 boy & 1 girl) plus family absolutely love Dance by Carly studio and have enjoyed the Academy program so much!! Both kids have improved tremendously over this last year and we can't wait to see how far they grow this upcoming season.
