We bought the grits and cornmeal that had been freshly done the day before. The restroom was locked when I went (has number pad for the campers ) So we had to ask for it to b unlocked. The restroom was very nice . They have a covered bridge and peaceful trails. The trails unfortunately are not marked very well at all. We were afraid we would get lost so we didn't stay in the woods much. They have a camp ground for RVS and plenty of space . You can bring a tent :) Nice, little side trip w/ a bit of history.

A couple miles down the road I crossed paths with yet another sign for Kymulga, to which I kept driving. But then it started weighing on my mind and I decided to GPS it to see how far away it was. 5 miles...I'm early for my meeting, let's give this a try. Arriving at the park they have very reasonable rates ($3.00) and the place (considering it is the dead of winter) is really quite pretty. Only explored for a few minutes, since I needed to get back on the road, but they have disk golf and hiking along with fishing (license is required). Several picnic benches located around the covered bridge. Would make for a fun spot to go do additional exploring. Will definitely plan a day trip here....plus based on the other Yelp reviews there seems to be some good BBQ in the area.

They have a great 3 story play structure for the kids with several slides, climbing walls and swings. They also have a smaller area for littler children. Parking was easy from the road and near the play area. They had a blacktop walking/biking trail and a nice little creek with a cute bridge. I saw a memorial area off to the side but we didn't make our way up their to check it out on this particular visit. There were a couple bench type swings that were broken and laying on the ground and the play equipment could use a powerwash or fresh coat of paint along with fresh mulch. Overall, this is a great area to come let your kids burn some energy!

This track was huge and sorta intimidating! 1 lap around = 1 mile. We managed to WALK 3 miles but it was a little bit of a challenge. Hopefully the next time I come here I'll be able to run and not just walk the track. By no means am I a runner but I am trying to challenge myself more with my workout regimen. The park was super crowded due to baseball games going on. There are several baseball fields along with soccer fields. This is a nice facility. Oh and there is a small and large dog park on site as well! I plan to bring my fur buddy to the dog park real soon. I'm sure he'll love it! There is adequate parking with ease to accessing the park. The park is located right off the main Hwy so it's really easy to find.

I don't live in Moody, but I've been to this cute splash pad a couple times with friends who do!…read more One of the first things I noticed was that the entire area is enclosed by a metal fence, which I totally appreciated! No worrying that small children could wander away! There is a brick building which houses the ticket office, bathrooms, and encloses a Few picnic tables. There are also several large pavilions that can be rented for parties, as well as tables with umbrellas scattered around the perimeter. The splash pad itself it great! Lots of water spraying contraptions and a slide that all the kids love. There were several lifeguards patrolling the area and they seemed really focused on the kids, which was awesome. All in all, worth the drive and definitely a place we will be spending more time at this summer!
