I found laundry Lukes's to be the best possible scenario. Lots of machines and dryers available. The floor could use a mop but the equipment was high quality and in perfect condition. Multiple choices for washer and dryer sizes. I love that there are options for how to pay so I didn't have to drag in cash out quarters. I was able to download the "speed queen" app and do everything through Apple Pay. So convenient! It even sends alerts when a load is complete. Plus I earned rewards to apply to my laundry to help save money. I felt the neighborhood was safe and the fellow patrons were polite and quiet. It is really convenient that there is a 7-11 two doors down in the same strip mall. Overall a great experience. I got so much laundry done in very little time.

The decor is great and the place is open till 10pm. The only things that give me hesitation and the reason this place is 3 stars is due to the overpricing of the machines. It's standard for Dryers to be .25 cents per 1 minute. But these dryers are $2.25 flat rate. Okay, not that bad I suppose. But most of the machines are 4 Loads and Up, so if you need a small, quick wash, you'll be paying $8+ for a wash. No matter what. The vending machines are $3 for laundry products and $2 for snacks, and $2 sodies. So it's safe to say, this establishment falls into the same trap that some black businesses fall into... Using Community Unification to justify Overcharging their Audience. Tucked away in Overland/Maryland Heights in a cozy plaza. I suppose the audience is not intended for everyday people. Might come back because I see the vision. But might go elsewhere in favor of not spending $15+ just to wash clothes. I noticed that she knew many of the customers in the laundry and greeted everyone as they came in. I found it convenient that you can use a credit/debit card to operate their machines or you have the option of using their change machine to turn dollar bills into quarters. They also have a soap/bleach/softener dispenser where you can purchase these items if you don't feel like dragging in big bottles to wash your clothes. I will say, be mindful of some people who might be in the laundromat as well; I've had my dryer sheets stolen right in front of me, literally, and my boyfriend was asked if he had dr*gs multiple times after saying no. I explained how disappointed I was because when I dropped off the garments, there was no mention about having to replace the fabric of the belt loops or completely altering the back of the skirt where the zipper was. She asked what she could do to make it right. I could tell she really cares about her business and customers, as well as the quality of work they produce. I explained that there wasn't much because of how altered they both were but instead, to make sure her parents fully understood what the customer was wanting and not to be afraid to say no if they couldn't actually do it. She agreed and again, couldn't have been more apologetic. This was a learning lesson for both parties and I know how to move forward. In the beginning, she asked if she could give me a refund. I declined at first because I wasn't seeking one but instead, was really hoping something could be done about my clothes. After a few phone calls, I decided I'd go ahead and take it. Prior to this, It had been a while since I've brought something to them but because this was handled so professionally, I'll continue using them but for dry cleaning only. The dress was pretty clean but the bottom was pretty dirty from our outdoor wedding. Their service was excellent. They got it cleaned and packaged up in box within two weeks of dropping it off there. The communication they provided was excellent. They even sent a text message when the dress was ready for pickup. The quality of work was well worth the cost. The dress cleaning and preservation was $260 then they offered two size boxes. The medium box was $80 and the large box was $100. My wife's dress luckily fit into a medium box so I walked away with an out the door price of $360. I was not aware until I picked it up that the box I purchased came with a window so that you could still see the dress while keeping it packaged up and looking nice! I would highly recommend this place for all your dry cleaning needs and especially if you're looking to have your wedding dress preserved. My rating : BEST
